Il y a quelques mois, j'ai fait un rêve qui m’enjoignait d’écrire «l’histoire des chansons». Alors je me suis laissée faire. Je suis partie en vacances avec mon ordinateur et j’ai commencé à obéir à ce rêve.
Les chansons et leurs histoires se sont mises à venir à moi, aux détours de conversation, au fil des réseaux sociaux, de documentaires.
Mon rêve et mon inconscient ne me trompaient pas, ce projet était fait pour moi.
Les chansons racontent l'histoire, parfois compliquées, de leurs auteurs, notre histoire collective, celle de l'humanité. La grande Histoire et la petite s'y mêlent.
Les chansons donnent la parole à ceux qui ne l'ont pas ou plus.
Elles parlent de lutte, d'amour, de douleur, d'espoir, elle racontent la vie, notre vie,
Une chanson, c'est d'abord une alchimie magique entre un texte et une mélodie, mais c'est aussi une passerelle entre les générations, elles se transmettent parce qu'elles sont attachées au passé et tournées vers l'avenir.
Sortir ces histoires des méandres de l’oubli me passionne. J'aime leur donner un nouveau souffle, moi, qui petite fille écoutait la radio, comme une fenêtre ouverte par laquelle j'apprenais le monde.
Les mots des chansons que la radio distillait dans mon quotidien me parlaient, alors que je vivais dans une famille où la parole n’existait pas.
