Des fictions sonores, basées sur des archives criminelles belges des 19e et 20e siècles qui nous replongent dans la Belgique de nos ancêtres. Des faits divers macabres et angoissants qui vous assurent de grands moments de frisson et qui apportent un nouvel éclairage sur l’histoire sociale de la Belgique : celui des destins personnels tragiques de citoyens pris dans la tourmente de périodes troublées.
À chaque saison, de nouveaux auteurs et autrices, avec leur style personnel, créent chacun une histoire unique qui nous plonge dans le quotidien d'autrefois. Une plongée dans la somme des tous ces petits détails qui forgent le quotidien d'un quartier, d'une ville ou d'une région. L'auditeur est plongé dans des histoires sombres, aux ambiances froides et réalistes, dans la plus pure tradition des romans policiers belges. Ce podcast est l’occasion de faire un voyage dans le temps à travers les deux siècles d’existence de la Belgique.

Alfie is a nurse working overtime on the night shift in A&E when a patient comes in with her throat torn out. The girl on the gurney is the first of many, baffling staff and horrifying the public. Eventually, Alfie almost becomes another victim of the walking, rotting dead things which have been attacking his patients, but is saved by the same man he saw dripping blood into his patient’s eye. He’s Casper, and he’s a vampire, and now he’s saved Alfie’s life the two of them are inescapably bound together. Neither of them are happy about it, but the draw of each other’s blood is irresistible. Another brush with death later, Alfie must make a choice: death or undeath. He’s not sure which is worse, but whatever he chooses, there’s bound to be blood.

Mijn mama overleed op 16 december 2019 en in de maanden voorafgaand aan haar sterven heeft ze mij doen beloven dat ik na haar overlijden elke week een brief zou schrijven om te vertellen hoe ik mij voelde.
Ik deed echter nog meer dan dat. Gedurende een jaar postte ik ze op Facebook en Instagram. Talloze e-mails kreeg ik van mensen die zich gesteund voelden door mijn wekelijkse brief. Ooit wilde ik er meer mee doen en een paar maanden geleden besloot ik er een podcast van te maken die start op 16 december, haar sterfdatum.
Kris Philips leest - als stem van mijn mama - de brief voor die ik schreef en ik vertel hoe mijn week was, gebaseerd op het dagboek dat ik toen bijhield.
