Pétur var fyrsti starfsmaður Sjónvarpsins, sem hóf útsendingar í septemberlok 1966, og framkvæmdastjóri þess í rúm 30 ár. Hann var útvarpsstjóri Ríkisútvarpsins í lok starfsferils síns 1997. Frásögn Péturs var hljóðrituð sumarið 2022, þergar hann var 93 ára. Þulur er Markús Örn Antonsson, fyrrum fréttamaður Sjónvarpsins og útvarpsstjóri RÚV.

Þáttunum sem unnir eru af Fjölmiðlanefnd er ætlað að efla umræðu um miðlalæsi á Íslandi og kafa nánar í rannsóknir og skýrslur á því sviði sem nefndin gefur út. Þá verða málefni fjölmiðla og fjölmiðlunar rædd útfrá ýmsum sjónarhornum með viðtölum við fjölmiðlafólk, sérfræðinga og rannsakendur á sviði fjölmiðlunar. -
