Dan Jones is host of This Is History — A Dynasty to Die For, a narrative podcast that charts the bloody and complex drama of England’s Plantagenet dynasty, now up to its 10th season.
Elizabeth is host of How To Fail, a podcast that has brought together hundreds of luminaries and thinkers including Kate Winslet, Yuval Noah Hariri, and Malala Yousafzai, to reflect on failure in the present.

The Cantemir Institute (CI) is a recently established centre of research at the Faculty of History, University of Oxford, which focuses on the interdisciplinary study of Central and Eastern Europe in its wider European, Eurasian, Mediterranean, and global contexts. The creation of the institute has been made possible through a generous donation from the Berendel Foundation, London.
The Cantemir Institute aims to reflect critically on the legacy of intercultural humanism bestowed by two humanist princes: Demetrius Cantemir (1673-1723), the ruling prince of Moldavia (1693; 1710-11), and his son Antiochus (1709-1744), Russia's ambassador to London and Paris (1731-1744). These distinguished polymaths were steeped in the intellectual culture of both Eastern and Western Europe and knowledgeable about the Ottoman and the Russian empires. -

Einu sinni þótti fallegt að vera feit. Síðastliðna áratugi hefur feitt fólk mætt fordómum, sýnileg líkamsfita þótt útlitsgalli og mælikvarði á skapgerð, sjálfsaga, æskileika og færni. Persónulegt vandamál einstaklinga sem þeir hafi valið með því að velja óheilsusamlegt líferni og ættu að vilja leysa. Milljónaiðnaður hefur haldið fólki í baráttu við líkamann sinn með ýmsum lausnum sem oftar en ekki skilja fólk eftir enn feitara en fyrr. Fjöldi feitra lifir þó heilbrigðu og hamingjusömu lífi, óháð holdafari sínu.

Brynhildur Björnsdóttir er 56 ára kona sem hefur verið feit alla ævi. Hún veltir þessum spurningum fyrir sér í þremur útvarpsþáttum ásamt ýmsum sérfræðingum og fólki með reynslu af því að grennast með hjálp lyfja og aðgerða.
