Acht passagiers. Drie fans. Eén vermoorde bestsellerschrijver. Het is maart 2020. Een excentriek gezelschap stapt aan boord van een kleine raderboot, waaronder drie prijswinnaars: Selin, Dennis en Anne-Roos. Op de driedaagse cruise krijgen zij een cursus moordmysterie schrijven van hun grote idool en bestsellerauteur Naomi Rickenbach.
Maar wat begint als een chique cruise met champagne, hapjes en literaire praatjes, ontaardt al snel in een beklemmende tocht vol geheimen en intriges. En als Naomi op dag twee dood wordt gevonden op het zonnedek, wordt op een gruwelijke manier duidelijk dat niemand elkaar kan vertrouwen.
Twee rechercheurs gaan aan boord van de cruise om alle passagiers te verhoren. Wie is oprecht? En wie liegt de boel bij elkaar? Niemand mag van de boot tot de dader is gevonden.
