    We talked about the promise that we are holy and blameless in Jesus.

    What we eat can't take that away from us.

    But we have to receive this.

    Here's the outline:

    What you eat is neutral.  It's not good or bad.What you think about what you eat causes shame or guilt.Shame and guilt drives to eating more.Eating more results in weight gain and us believing we are bad.

    This cycle keeps us stuck.  Listen to hear how we can receive that we are holy and break this cycle.

  • New Series for December:  Fear to Freedom during the Holidays.

    Over the next 4 weeks, we will be looking at thoughts that create fear and how we can be set free in Christ.

    Today we are looking at the thought, “I will gain my weight back over the holidays”

    I want to offer that maybe we don’t have to think about gaining weight as negative.  What if we dropped the judgment that we “shouldn’t gain weight.”  It will release the fear a bit.I want to offer you new thoughts that create freedom for you.I want to encourage you with tips to lose or maintain your weight over the holidays.

    Here are the details.

    Hope Unwrapped is a 6 week Advent-Inspired Weight-Loss Journey class.

    1.  We will be studying 6 lessons of Advent and applying them to our weight-loss journey. 

    Here are the topics of the 6 lessons:

    Prophecy of the Messiah - how can we apply the anticipation of God's promises to our weight loss journey.Preparing the way - how can we prepare our hearts for Christmas and repent to make our hearts pure.The announcement of Mary - what was Mary's response to the angel telling her she was going to be the mother of Jesus.  How can we practice trust and obedience in our weight-loss journey.The joy of the Shepherds - how can we have joy in weight-loss...even when it's hard.The love of God - how does God's love affect our weight-loss journey.Christ coming back - How can we have a future focus on our weight-loss journey. 

    2.  The 2 phases of nutrition.  Here is what we will be learning about how food affects weight-loss.

    over-desire and urges.  Our focus will be on whole foods with exceptions.  The goal is to follow our plan and master urges.  There will be a meal plan template and specific meal plan samples for guidance in planning.Calories and macros.  The focus will be on how to nourish our bodies in a slight deficit so it isn't under stress.  The goal will be to learn how much our body needs to survive and still lose body fat.  There will be a specific meal plan sample with calories and measurements of food for a guideline.

     3.  Results - you create.

    I will teach you how to create any result you want.  You get to choose what you want to focus on.  Here are some ideas of what you will take away from our 6 weeks together and the tools I will teach you.

    clarity of your protocolconfidence in listening to you and the Holy Spiritfeeling less guilt and judgementfeel more hope and love for yourselflearn how to create a sustainable planfeel more in control with urges

    4.  Format and what's included:

  • What?!??  There’s no ONE way to plan?  I had no idea!  I always try to find that 1 “right way” to do things.  

    I’ve found that when I believe there’s only 1 right way, I feel defeated and overwhelmed.

    Once I realized (and really believed) that there’s many ways to do things and all of them are right…I found MY way that gave me confidence to keep going.

    This is for all areas of our life.  It also is the secret to losing weight & deciding ahead of time what to eat to lose weight.
