Dr. Dayanara Thompson is a chiropractor, CEO, and somatic therapist with a passion for healing. We have both worked with her personally, and can say that she is truly a healer! Dr. Day also shares some important insights into medical racism, and how we can destigmatize self care in the Latino and BIPOC communities. There’s so much to talk about on this week’s Keeping Up With the Super Mamás. We start by checking in as we continue to deal with wildfires in Los Angeles. We feel so lucky to be safe and share the ways that we’ve been working together to give back and be in community. LA has really come together, and we are so proud of how our city and it’s people are take care of each other. As we look toward restarting 2025, we also go over some of the events and trips that are coming up in our lives. We’re even going to be in New York at the same time! We hope everyone is staying safe, and we’re looking forward to officially hitting reset on 2025.

Our restaurant Guelaguetza celebrated 30 years in business, and we threw quite the party to celebrate. Shout out to everyone that made that night possible! After that, Bricia was on the Today Show before Thanksgiving, and got to meet the one and only Martha Stewart. Then she cooked for Formula One in Las Vegas! We shared a great Thanksgiving as a family as well, the kids loved spending time together at Bricia’s. The holiday season is upon us, and we certainly have lots going on!

Paulina sits down this week to talk with Veronica Tolentino and dive into her work with the Center For Restorative Justice Works. The CRJW is a nonprofit organization that works to unite children and families that have been separated due to incarceration. Their program Get On The Bus provides transportation to children and families to visit their incarcerated loved ones. They also have a number of other programs that work to build community and foster relationships with incarcerated individuals. Veronica is also the founder of LOUD community and a mother of two!
