    And soften your face.

    And sink into your bed.

    And guide yourself inside.

    Relax your body,

    One cell at a time.

    Softening and calming,

    From the top of your head,

    Down into your face,

    Arms,

    Chest,

    Belly,

    Back, 

    Hips,

    Legs,

    And feet. 

    Softening, 

    And relaxing,

    As you sink further into comfort.

    See if you can locate the emotions,

    Swirling, 

    Or anchoring,

    Or floating inside.

    It doesn’t matter why they’re here,

    Or what stories they tell.

    Just identify them,

    Isolating them,

    And holding them in place.

    Now see if you can imagine,

    Your arms wrapping around these emotions,

    Embracing each jagged edge,

    Each soggy tear,

    Each bursting star.

    You show them love, 

    Honoring each of them,

    Silently grateful for each one.

    Take a moment to become aware of your body and all that you feel. 

    With every breath you take, you become more and more relaxed.

    PAUSE…

    Feel the tensions releasing from your head, and your neck, 

    Your shoulders and arms. 

    As you exhale, feel the relaxation fill your body from your toes, up to your legs, torso and finally your neck and head.

    PAUSE…

    Begin to feel your body floating, being soothed by the soft energy surrounding you. Inhale deeply and with every exhale, you can feel the tension slowly release.

    You are safe and nothing can disturb you in this state of deep relaxation.

    PAUSE…

    See if you can imagine a staircase in front of you. 

    This staircase has 10 steps, and with each step, you will feel more and more relaxed. 

    With each number, allow yourself to sink deeper into relaxation.

    One - Take the first step down, and feel a wave of relaxation wash over you. You are becoming more and more relaxed with each passing moment.

    Two - Take the second step down, and feel your muscles begin to relax. Your body is becoming more and more at ease.

    Three - Take the third step down, and feel your breath slowing down. You are becoming more and more peaceful.

    Four - Take the fourth step down, and feel a sense of warmth and comfort envelop you. You are feeling more and more relaxed.

    Five - Take the fifth step down, and feel any tension in your body melting away. You are becoming more and more comfortable.

    Six - Take the sixth step down, and feel your mind begin to quiet down. You are quiet and clear. 

    Seven - Take the seventh step down, and feel a sense of deep relaxation spread throughout your body. You are feeling more and more tranquil.

    Eight - Take the eighth step down, and feel yourself drifting deeper and deeper into rest. Serenity is taking over. 

    Nine - Take the ninth step down, and feel yourself melting further. Calm and light. 

    Ten - Take the final step down, and feel yourself sink into a deep, restful sleep. You are completely relaxed and at ease.

    LONG PAUSE…

    As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine a beautiful garden in front of you. 

    This garden is filled with beautiful flowers and plants of all kinds. 

    It's a place of beauty and tranquility. Immerse yourself in this garden, and feel the peace and serenity that surrounds you.

    PAUSE…

    As you walk through the garden, you come across a small pond. The water is calm and still, and you can see the reflection of the stars above. The moon is shining bright in the sky, and you can feel its gentle light bathing you in its glow. The air is warm and pleasant, and you can hear the soothing music of crickets and frogs.

    PAUSE…

    As you sit by the pond, you notice a small boat. It's a simple wooden boat, and it's inviting you to take a ride. You step into the boat, and you begin to row. As you row, you feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed. The water is calm, and the stars are shining bright above you.

    PAUSE…

    As you row, you notice a small island in the distance. It's a beautiful island, and it's inviting you to come ashore. You row towards the island, and as you approach, you notice a small cabin. The cabin is warm and inviting, and it's calling out to you.

    You step inside the cabin, and you notice a comfortable bed. It's a warm and cozy bed, and it's inviting you to lie down. You crawl into the bed, and you feel yourself sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation. Deeper and deeper into sleep.

    Close your eyes and take a few moments to focus on your breath. 

    Let it guide you inward, as you settle yourself into comfort.

    PAUSE…

    Slow your breathing down, 

    And sink into your bed. 

    Move around a little bit, 

    Releasing any movements or energy your body needs to express.

    PAUSE…

    Stretching, 

    Expanding, 

    And then when you’re ready, 

    Sink into that special position you know so well, 

    And feel its comfort, 

    Its welcome, 

    Its home.

    LONG PAUSE…

    Notice the soft warmth that the comfort of relaxation brings. 

    Feel your body become heavy and light at the same time.

    Sinking into your bed, 

    And drifting off into the night. 

    PAUSE…

    Breathe…

    Softly, 

    Slowly.

    Breathe…

    Gently,

    Deeply.

    LONG PAUSE…

    Become aware of the thoughts, feelings and sensations that move within
    and around you, like waves in the sea. 

    Notice your connection to the whole.

    And your hazy drifting between this world, 

    And the world of dreams. 

    PAUSE…

    Release any tension or heaviness that exists within you, 

    Releasing it, 

    Dissolving it,

    With every single breath.

    LONG PAUSE…

    Observe your body and the slowly moving waves of energy.

    Let this calming energy fill the areas that are tense or tight.

    And then feel a wave of deep relaxation moving through you as your body continues
    to settle.

    PAUSE…

    Gently bring your awareness to your heart. Allow it to expand and open, becoming free and expressed.

    Feel your body melting into the comfort of the moment.

    Stay here for a bit,

    Observing any thoughts or emotions, 

    As clouds floating on by,

    As you stay here, 

    Deep in comfort.

    Inhale peace and exhale the day.

  • Hey, it’s Katie and I’m here for a mid-month check in. How are you? How’s your month coming along? How’s your mental health? 

    We’re well into Mental Health Awareness Month and I hope you’ve really been enjoying all the bonus and guest meditations we’ve been providing across the network. The team and I have been working hard to make sure you have a wide variety of meditations and voices to support you! 

    I’m sharing honestly today about why we need to “slow down to speed up” and what that’s actually looked like for me this month (single mommying with hubs out of town, end of school extra activities and moving!). It ain’t been pretty y'all. 

    But I’m sharing because we all have these heavy seasons and I’ll walk you through what worked for me to lighten the load and helped me slow down, all in the name of preserving my mental health. 

    I also share a poem/meditation I wrote recently called “A Million Little Reasons” that I hope really speaks to your heart.

    In the heart of Moonlit Serenity Gardens, bathed in the soft glow of moonlight, there stood a centuries-old cherry blossom tree. Its branches stretched gracefully towards the heavens, adorned with delicate pink blossoms that seemed to shimmer with ethereal radiance. Beneath its boughs, a solitary figure named Lila found herself in a state of contemplative tranquility.

    Lila, a weary soul burdened by the demands of modern life, had discovered this celestial sanctuary during a serendipitous midnight stroll. Surrounded by the intoxicating scent of blooming flowers and the gentle murmur of a nearby stream, she felt an otherworldly calm settling within her.

    As she sat on a moss-covered stone, the garden around her seemed to come alive with a symphony of nature's lullabies. Crickets chirped rhythmically, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves, creating a melody that echoed through the stillness of the night. It was as if the very essence of Moonlit Serenity conspired to serenade those who sought refuge within its embrace.

    Lila closed her eyes, allowing the soothing sounds to guide her into a world of dreams. In this enchanting realm, time seemed to lose its grip, and worries melted away like dewdrops under the moon's tender gaze.     The quiet of the night, 

    Knocks at your door,

    Slow yourself down, 

    And let it all go.

    Slowly you walk towards it, 

    And step inside.

    The cool water of the stream slowly washes over your toes, 

    Relaxing and soothing any areas of tension or discomfort. 

    Feel the refreshing water cover your feet and ankles, 

    Relaxing them completely.

    PAUSE…

    You step in deeper into the stream, 

    And feel the water cover your legs,

    Feel it relaxing each muscle with each gentle wave. 

    It soothes you, calms you, 

    And all the tension and stress releases from your legs. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    You sink a little further into the welcoming water,

    And can feel it touch your hips and your lower back.

    Imagine the water gathering all the stress,

    The worries, 

    The heaviness,

    And taking it from you as it floats away,

    Leaving everything submerged within it deeply relaxed. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    The water feels so soothing, 

    That you easily drop yourself down further, 

    Lowing your belly, chest and arms into it. 

    PAUSE…

    The welcoming water calms your belly,

    Softens your heart, 

    And releases any tension in your arms. 

    PAUSE…

    Listen to the gentle sounds of the stream, 

    Carrying away the day,

    And holding you in her softness. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    Gently and briefly,

    You slowly lower your entire head into the water, 

    And feel as it touches your chin, 

    Your mouth,

    Your cheeks, 

    Your eyes,

    And the crown of your head.

    PAUSE…

    For just a moment, you feel the water surround you,

    Cleanse you,

    And relax you.

    PAUSE…

    Your head rises,

    And you fill your lungs with sweet air,

    As you lay on your back,

    And float in the stream.

    Your entire body is held in love,
