Exploring Carl Jung’s magnum opus, The Red Book, chapter-by-chapter. In each episode, Salome Institute director, Satya Doyle Byock, and Astrologer Carol Ferris discuss C.G. Jung’s vast work while reflecting on Jungian psychology and history, the astrology of Jung's time and ours, and the political, social, feminist, and anti-racist relevance of this work today.
C.G. Jung’s journey into the unconscious began in 1913, just months before the sudden beginning of WWI. It was this descent, laboriously documented in a large red leather book that has come to be known as "The Red Book" that underlies all of Analytical Psychology, also known as Jungian Psychology.
You do not need to be steeped in Jungian Psychology or in astrology to enjoy this Jungian Podcast. Satya & Carol make this work socially and personally relevant for people of all backgrounds, even those with little experience with this material. -

What drives people to change, to heal, to reinvent themselves? How do we reclaim our health, bounce back from heartbreak, flip the script? On goopfellas, two friends who have become familiar with unlikely personal transformations have raw conversations with people who have experienced profound shifts in perspective and well-being. Together, functional medicine practitioner Will Cole, DC, and chef Seamus Mullen get at the catalysts that bring people out of their dark night and into their purpose. Each of their goopfellas guests—from athletes to actors to authors—is different. As are the hosts: Mullen himself almost died from rheumatoid arthritis, and Cole’s day job is helping people uncover and overturn the roots of dis-ease. But you’ll likely see pieces of yourself in all their conversations, reflected in every one of their challenges. And we hope, from the lessons they learned along the way, you’ll find something you need to bring about a change, big or small, in your own life.

Taking the concept from Brian Lamb's long running Booknotes TV program, the podcast offers listeners more books and authors. Booknotes+ features a mix of new interviews with authors and historians, along with some old favorites from the archives. The platform may be different, but the goal is the same – give listeners the opportunity to learn something new.

Brooklyn Public Library is full of stories. Borrowed brings the very best of them to you.
Borrowed is a narrative series about superhero librarians, neighborhood stories and what it means to be a free, democratic place in today’s changing world. We tell stories about libraries during natural disasters, the challenges of homelessness, and NYC’s fraught relationship with trash.
Borrowed and Banned is our limited series about America's ideological war with its bookshelves. From September to December 2023, we released ten episodes featuring the stories of students on the frontlines, librarians and teachers whose livelihoods are endangered when they speak up, and writers whose books have become political battleground.
