Tim Yohman is out of Central Texas. His journey moving up to the Pro class is what many strive for. Tim explains his approach to learn from and his payback to local archery shop, this was a big stepping stone that allowed him recognition with a bow manufacturer and led to a sponsorship. Lots more can be said on his travels and he does this. Thank you Tim for sharing.

Yea we really never went any where. Just with hunting season starting and self imposed injuries. It has been kinda quiet for us. So on this show we talk about new equipment that has been released. What shoots we have for us to be broadcasting live at and to finish it off the new rule change for ASA. So listen up and leave some comments.

We get the Oklahoma Bowhunter man himself just before opening morning of archery season. Kreg has a simple goal every year. He wants to introduce bowhunting to someone that has never done go to experience the hunt with a bow. Dallas is Oklahoma's big game biologist for Oklahoma Department Wildlife Commission. Dallas explains what goes into decisions it takes to to maintain Oklahoma's deer heard. It's not just guess work picking the dates for the hunting seasons. I was very interested when he gets into how the deer population is counted for the upcoming season. He admits he has a really great job getting to see the how deer react, move, and grow with all the programs the ODWC has. Listen in and learn so you can be educated and gain an advantage this hunting season.

We set down with Oklahoma's recent winner of our State 900 Championship, Kyle Anderson. We briefly roll through that and cover Kyle's Darton Archery bow setups. His plans for upcoming tournaments and any equipment changes he will need. Several other tidbits of information along with some tournament information. This was quick one since Kyle and Neil had to get ready for a Tuesday league night.

We welcome Greg Thompson on the show to talk about his recent win in the Oklahoma Triple Crown. We cover his set up and the shoot itself. Rolling into just a great all around archery conversation. Everyone knows Neil is our new ASA State Rep for 2024. Before he gets to his 1 year anniversary he pulls together the ASA shooters and shows the ASA Federation office some staggering numbers with shooter count, range sign ups, and memberships. He goes on to let everyone know that this has been a team effort from all the host ranges, friends, family, and fellow shooters.
He does take time to talk a little for next year and what it will look like. He brings up that this year isn't quite done, because they still have a directors meeting nationally and he is organizing a Oklahoma State wide meeting in September. You can hear through out the entire podcast he appreciates each and everyone that has offered some kind of support to him and the Oklahoma ASA. Mr Neil Cooley thank you.

The 2024 Paris Olympics are just a few day away from starting. We bring in our friend Tom Stevenson. Owner of ArcheryPath.com, Coach of Oklahoma Storm Joad team, active Male Recurve Olympic shooter, and winner of countless national awards. We asked Tom to break down what olympic equipment is, practice routines, how you must qualify, what the athletes go thru, and what we will be watching during the Paris events.

We were honored to have Rick Gilley on the show for a second time. Recently Rick traveled to the NFAA Midwest Trail Classic and finished top of the podium with first place. He made a last minute bow change and the confidence he took with him was huge. Followed up the next weekend with ASA Metropolis IL. She tells us all about making the team, her setup, future plans, new archery range they have, and her trip to Slovenia to represent Team USA (and Team Oklahoma). She tells us about the new range and some weekday league plays they will be offering.

Oklahoma's own North America Super Slam record holder Lincoln Tapp is the youngest ever to achieve this and he did it using a bow. We visit with Lincoln about his adventures chasing the super slam. He does give us his favorite arrow setup for all these hunts, the bow setup, and even some tips and tricks on finding how he looks for whitetails where others don't.

Bryn is Oklahoma's newest NFAA State Director. We took this time to understand more about the NFAA and our State. Bryn explains some of things he has to do when working with our local clubs/ranges along with the NFAA. We all feel the same, we want to grow archery and are fortunate to have some good people working for OK that can help get this done.
