Ben was dropped off to child care on the morning of January 14, 2009 as a happy, healthy 17 month old little boy. During the afternoon hours Ben's caregiver 22 year old Melissa Calusinski found him unresponsive without explanation. What ensues is a lengthy investigation that seems pretty cut and dry at first until discoveries are made that include possible human error, cover ups and confessions that are getting a second look.

Michael and Christine Taylor had five children and were living Ossett, West Yorkshire in 1974. Michael had been unable to hold regular work as a butcher due to his chronic back pain from a previous severe injury and suffered mild bouts of depression as a result. Trying to help, a family friend suggested that the couple join a Christian fellowship group. Christine could never have known that by joining this fellowship group she would lose her husband to lust and then her life to murder after an exorcism completed on Michael goes terribly wrong.

Long time listeners may remember when this case was originally covered on this show in 2021- but it was so popular that we just had to re-do it with Megan and Jason in studio. This is the case of Anne Green, a woman who survived her own execution in a very bizarre way and all she got for her efforts was her own coffin as a souvenir.

Anjette Lyles was known for her charming and flirtatious personality just as much as she was for her deep-fried bacon balls that she served at her very popular Georgia restaurant. However, when several people closest to her start to die under mysterious circumstances and Anjette seems to always be the benefactor to their life insurance and inheritance it becomes obvious that something darker is lurking under her petite and charismatic personality.

This was a case we covered many years ago as a Patreon bonus only case but decided to do a re-do of it for everyone! This kidnapping took place in 1976 out of Chowchilla California by three wealthy men who apparently had nothing better to do than kidnap 26 school children in an attempt to get ransom money from the State of California.

Theresa Alvarez was left with her maternal grandparents at 8 years old after her own mother died. Unfortunately, her grandparents could not financially support extra mouths to feed and Theresa along with her brother were often homeless. That is until Margaret Theut along with a great aunt- Janet Jenkins took the kids in and provided for them. All of this would result 17 years later in Theresa murdering Margaret over money that Margaret was saving to give to a charity.

This serial killer case was a highly publicized case that took place in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor Michigan area from 1967-1969. This case even resulted in some interesting case law due to being one of the first where there were questions of fair trial considering how highly public the case had become.

Jimmy "Jay" Lee was a beautiful 20-year-old soul that had just graduated from college where he majored in social work and had plans to help change the world. That all ended when his life was taken in what prosecutors believe was an effort to cover up a secret relationship. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community Jay was a brilliant light that shone down on the world- showing there is no reason for judgment or hate simply because of differences. His life was taken too soon over imagined fears brought on by social and religious programming.
