  • Jonny Plein is the co-founder of Pouch, a free to use browser extension. ‘Pouch’ became the third company in the history of the Den to secure offers of investment from all five Dragons in 2017.

    After qualifying as a chartered accountant from Ernst & Young he set up the business with two friends in 2016. Pouch is a leading money-saving browser extension in the UK. After a rollercoaster 3 year journey, Pouch was acquired by Global Savings Group for a 7-figure sum in early 2019.

  • As featured in Forbes 30 under 30, Alina Bassi has gone from Aston University where she studied Chemical Engineering, to Cambridge working for bio-bean Ltd and working in energy consulting for ThyssenKrupp, to now Berlin where she has established her business Kleiderly.

    Combining her drive for innovation with a passion for sustainable progress, Alina set out to establish Kleiderly with a self-assured goal of using her experience to solve the pressing issue of clothing waste within the fashion industry. She has since developed technology recycling waste clothing into new and sustainable material, contributing to the creation of an economically efficient and eco-friendly circular economy.

    Alina is on a mission to lower the carbon footprint that is increasingly apparent within the fashion industry and save tonnes of CO2 emissions. Her entrepreneurial venture is certainly one to watch as it accelerates sustainability within the fashion world, and bridges the gap between calls for action and the active steps towards it. As well as her venture, Alina is a founding member of Tech In Colour and an alumni of Google for Startups Female Founder alumni, all contributing to her addition to Forbes 30 under 30 class of 2020.

As former Dyson engineers, Ashley and his business partner Matthew Aston Cain have implemented their mechanical design skills directly within his entrepreneurial goals, creating an inventive product that delivers both the convenience and the quality factor to their consumer base.

    Ashley, alongside Matthew, have invented various novel business ideas such as magnetic pens and pencils, and emphasises the importance of businesses born from customer problem-solving. With a goal in mind and 300 product prototypes, he managed to raise an applaudable £1.5 million+ from seed funding. Based on his entrepreneurial drive, Ashley was shortlisted as a Great British Entrepreneur Awards Finalist for 2020, and is working towards getting his creative coffee innovation manufactured and distributed to coffee lovers seeking a quick and on-hand caffeine fix during their busy schedules!
