維吾爾人尼若拉（Nyrola Elimä）現居瑞典，她在2011年烏魯木齊七五事件兩年後到瑞典讀書，就從此沒有再回去。2017年，中共展開對維吾爾人的大規模關押迫害，海外流亡的維吾爾人如何聲援自己家鄉的家人？又承受了哪些壓力與代價？他們是選擇沉默屈服，還是更用力地發聲？她的家人仍活在中共的監控之下，她的表姐，如至少一百萬的維吾爾人一樣，被送到集中營裡。2019年，表姐被指控以資金支持恐怖主義行動，再次被帶走，至今尼若拉仍無法得知表姐的生死。
