  • At just 15 years old, Mme Campan entered the royal household as a court reader, eventually becoming the first lady-in-waiting to Marie Antoinette. Her memoirs provide a captivating glimpse into the trials and tribulations of this ill-fated queen. Rather than focusing solely on the chaotic historical events of her time, Mme Campan delves into the intrigues and complexities of court life, exploring the personalities and behaviors of those who inhabited its hallowed halls. As she writes I shall relate what I have seen. I shall make known the character of Marie Antoinette, her domestic habits, the way in which she spent her time, her maternal affection, her constancy in friendship, her dignity in misfortune. I shall, in some degree, throw open her private apartments, where I have passed so many hours with her, both in the happiest and the most sorrowful years of her life. (Mme Campan) - Summary by Celine Major

  • A podcast exploring Ancient Aliens, lost civilizations, and alternative interpretations of humanity’s forgotten past.

Discover the mysteries of lost civilizations and ancient advanced societies.

This podcast explores the idea that Earth may once have hosted highly advanced cultures whose remains we often misunderstand or misinterpret today.

Each episode breaks down these controversial ideas in clear, accessible language, examining alternative perspectives on ancient architecture, forgotten technologies, and the deeper meanings of ancient texts.

Drawing inspiration from researchers and authors such as Paul Wallis, Graham Hancock, Randall Carlson, Matthew LaCroix, Billy Carson, Mauro Biglino, Erich von Däniken, and Zecharia Sitchin, the podcast focuses on asking bold questions — not only about how ancient structures achieved such precision, but also about what our historical narratives may be missing.

  • You've been told to drink eight glasses of water a day. You've chased 10,000 steps like it's some kind of biological law. You've checked your cholesterol without being entirely sure what you're actually checking for.

Most health content tells you what to do. Nobody explains why.

That's the gap So That's Why was made to fill.

Each week, Jen, Chris, and Matt take one everyday health question — the kind that's been nagging at the back of your mind, or that you've just accepted without thinking — and unpack the actual science behind it. Where did this idea come from? What's really happening inside your body? And does the evidence actually hold up?

What they find is often surprising. The 10,000-steps rule was invented by a Japanese marketing team in 1964. The eight-glasses-of-water recommendation came from a misread document. The reason some people turn tomato-red when they exercise has nothing to do with fitness — it's about blood vessel density. The thing that makes you cry when you chop onions was only properly understood in 2002. Cholesterol is in every single cell of your body — so why the terrible reputation?

The science is real, the research is specific, and the conversations are genuinely fascinating. And the three people having them have the backgrounds to get it right.

Jen holds a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology. She asks the questions you're thinking — informed ones, not naive ones — and keeps the conversation grounded in the human experience of all this biology.

Chris is a formulation scientist with over 30 years of experience. He's read the studies, knows the mechanisms, and has the analogies that make complex biology actually click.

Matt looks at the science and asks what it means for real people, with real lives, real schedules, and no time for perfectionism.

Together they hit that sweet spot between too technical to understand and so simplified it's not actually true anymore. Getting there, it turns out, is harder than it sounds.

So That's Why doesn't give you a list of rules to follow. It doesn't shame you for the things you haven't been doing. It explains the mechanism — the actual biology — so you can make decisions that fit your life, rather than just following advice that might not apply to you at all.
Episodes run about 20 minutes. They're built for commutes, workouts, or cooking dinner. By the end of each one, you'll be able to explain the answer to someone else — which is the whole point.

New episodes every week. Subscribe and find out why.

  • Διαμεσολάβηση;

  • On September 28, 2012, Massachusetts state chemist Annie Dookhan was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice and falsification of academic records. Approximately four months later another chemist, Sonja Farak, was arrested for using the drugs she was supposed to be testing and the Massachusetts Drug Lab Scandal was born.

Hosts Jamie Folk and Ilyas Rona will be exploring the William H Hinton, UMass Amherst and State Police crime labs associated with this scandal and speak with the lawyers whose clients rights were violated as a result of the fraud committed by the chemists in these labs. Through their investigation of this case, Folk and Rona have found that the crimes of Dookhan and Farak were just the tip of the iceberg and that multiple chemists from three state labs lied on the stand, knowingly sent people to jail for possessing drugs that were not illegal and wanted to help law enforcement send as many people to jail as possible.

Jamie Folk is an independent journal who has been investigating this case since Dookhan's arrest was first reported. He has obtained over 70k documents from the state and has interviewed several lawyers, journalists, politicians, law enforcement officials and others connected with the case over the past 7 years.

Ilyas Rona is a lawyer who represented a man sent to prison by Dookhan and another Hinton lab chemist for possessing what turned out to be a cashew for two years. He has been investigating the Hinton, Amherst and State Police labs ever since.

Season 3 begins the exploration of cases outside of Massachusetts in the hope of shining a light on other drug lab scandals throughout the country.
