This one has the boys talking movie franchises, The Obliteratrix being Hot, Fred and Daphne being sort of (?) engaged, and the biggest lore drops we've gotten YET. Only one episode left this season!!

Your boys were real sleepy while we recorded this one. (Matt starts to falls asleep near the end of the episode lmao) We get a deeper insight into what really makes Sheriff Bronson Stone tick, Fred's dad is going scorched earth, and we get an insider's take on what it takes to become a deputy in this town! Also, the ending of the episode earns it a legitimately historic spot in Scooby Doo franchise canon, which is wild that it happens in THIS episode.

Where's all my soul sisters? Lemme hear y'all flow, sisters. Lady Marmalade is here, and it's only a little problematic! This one is a lot of fun. Fred: less lists, more emancipating yourself!!!
Some light potential spoilers for season 2 of Severance in the last few minutes of this episode, skip forward a bit when we bring it up if you want to remain unscathed.

Fred's fave adventurer Dr. Rick Spartan is in town, along with a foul shrunken head, an in-bad-taste "joke" of a character's name, Modern Family's Julie Bowen, and an awesomely designed monster of the week. If you were a bad English teacher in the 2010s at Bethel Park High School, we're putting you on blast in this one!!!

Hot Dog Water is BACK, and Cardellini is so so good in the role. Just when you think Mayor Jones can't get any worse as a father, he surprises you! And Mr. E's true identity is finally revealed to us, along with some tantalizing hints about what's soon to come...
Real talk, your boys are struggling with everything that's happening in the US right now. It's exhausting and infuriating and disheartening. Thanks for listening to us as we have a fun little space to yap and try to distract each other from it all. We hope you can get some escapism from it, too.

We're joined by friend of the pod Dan to talk about the wacky Hammer Horror meets reality TV mashup on display this week. This episode contains discussions about ambience apps from hell, Vincent Price movies, and so many tangents.
Note: There seems to be some dead air in the episode, so skip ahead from 15:00 to 16:40.

We're back! Happy (?) 2025 guys. We're talking about Mai Le, Miley, Velma on her BEST behavior, and Fred leveling up his trap game even more.
There is a potential chance that our next episode will be delayed due to all the fire in Matt's area of LA this week (don't worry, he and Emi are safe), but stay tuned, as we WILL return.

The boys close out 2024 with a look at the FANTASTIC seventeenth episode of Mystery Incorporated. This one is one long homage to the Saw movies (!), which is such a wild sentence to say about this children's cartoon. The grim reaper lurks around every corner in this one, and Matt finds himself having a life or death run-in with everyone's pal Jigsaw in our episode's back half.
Thanks for listening, and we'll see you again in January!

We are "so back" with this week's episode. In the most Buffy-inspired plot yet, Aphrodite (not the hot one) is wreaking havoc on Crystal Cove, eager to claim her crown and lay waste to everyone in her way. Coupled with one scheming Professor, one good himbo prince back to his best self (thank God), and one tantalizing clue to the mystery lurking under the town, this is one for the books!

Whooboy, this one. Not the most riveting story!!! The boys still have a good time chatting about it, and of course Tobey Maguire gets brought up, because why wouldn't he in this episode about Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated? We also talk about being Team Velma (!) and Fred being a whiny little pissbaby in this one, both of which are developments that surprise us to no end.

We took a week off while Alex coughed his way through the worst sinus infection, but we're back and it's our most unhinged episode yet! We're talking dream logic, flop Scooby-Doo imitation shows, Principal Quinlan and Anne Hathaway being HOT (respectfully), and the sheer masterpiece that is Wicked (2024).

This is another episode that is just kinda there. The monster is really cool, though!! Daphne and Fred finally progress in their relationship. Velma continues her horrible case of arrested development. Mayor Fred Jones Sr. reaches new heights of horrible dad-ery.

We briefly contemplated holding this episode back a bit in light of the mood after yesterday's US election results. But if it gives even one person a way to turn their mind off for a bit and just listen to some nerdy conversation about our favorite Scooby Gang, we think it's worth it to post today. We're sad, and there are dark days ahead. But we also have each other, and that is something to be thankful for. - Alex & Matt
Mystery Incorporated spends a weekend at Darrow University, where Fred almost gets Happy Tapioca'd (IYKYK), literary allusions occur every 3 minutes, and one TA truly commits to a terrible-smelling bit.

Due to time constraints while recording, this episode has a little less room to breathe in discussion, but that's okay! A vampire terrorizes the town, stealing bizarre items. Alex and Matt are worried about Fred's taste in "juice boxes". Daphne's Mom is Hot.

Join us as we temporarily leave the Mystery Incorporated universe and travel back to 1998 for the acclaimed, darkest peak of the SD franchise. The Scooby Gang, now working adults, are tired of catching men in masks. Be careful what you wish for, guys. Alex and Matt are joined by Wife of the Pod Emi!! (Alex lost his voice from cheering at Evil Dead the Musical the night before this was recorded, sorry for the raspiness.) We talk morally dubious productions of the musical Hairspray, hot hot HOT people on this haunted island, and Scooby being borderline insufferable in this one (sorry).

The Mystery Inc. gang face off with one incel, one terrifying robot dog, and one mysterious Professor this week. Stay tuned to the end of this episode for the announcement of plans for the coming weeks, as we'll be alternating Mystery Incorporated coverage with episodes on some very special movies in the SD franchise.

This one was...just kinda there. The Scooby Gang act stupid with 2 O's. At least their jumpsuits are cool!
Matt is on his honeymoon [!!!] the week this episode airs, and we have no more episodes pre-recorded, so we will be on a slight hiatus next week. But never fear! We have some spooky surprises coming your way in honor of October. Stay tuned, y'all!

Matt gives us an insider's take on the Ren Fair, an evil gnome workshops his evil laugh to perfection, and Fred carves into a living woman with a power tool. For those who aren't in The Know, the boys really break down the genius that is Madame Web (2024). Also, Matt's mic overcompensated on background noise elimination, so I (Alex) would like you all to picture him sitting on a stage in an empty concert hall for this episode.

The Hex Girls are here!!! Velma is finally not the worst and is willing to take a gunshot to prove it, sweet angel himbo Fred has an emotional breakthrough, Scooby's feud with Shaggy continues, Fred's dad is getting lucky, and Daphne lives out her best Lizzie McGuire Movie moment. It only took 7 episodes but (knock on wood) all the audio issues should be resolved from here on out.
