This week we’re covering how to break away from the need to earn your food or exercise extra to burn off what you ate! Yes, fitness is important (as we see in 1 Timothy 4:8), but when exercising or counting calories or reaching a certain body composition becomes our main focus, our idol, that’s when we need to re-evaluate our motives for exercising!

During this Advent Season we reflect on how the birth of Jesus was the ultimate answered prayer that people for many generations have been waiting for. If God can fulfill this promise, we can trust Him and take Him at His word that the other promises He has for us will come to light too, in His timing! We wish you all a Merry Christmas! Thank you for listening to the show and sharing with another brother & sister in Christ!

This week we are diving into Isaiah 43, which will help you on difficult body image days and the days you feel unworthy or unlovable. This week's episode will help you establish your identity in Christ so you can see yourself how God sees you! As well as provide you with a tool to use in your quiet time with other verses in Scripture!
This week, Abbie walks us through an ancient spiritual practice that monks use called "Lectico Divina" or "Divine Scripture" that helps you meditate on Scripture and treat it like a love letter from God rather than a textbook. Enjoy!

We're diving into Joshua 1:9 this week where we are called to be strong & courageous! Can we be this and execute God's calling on our lives (or just the daily functions of life) on an empty stomach?
This episode will remind you that God wants (and needs) you to be adequately fed and nourished so that you can be fueled for the life He has called you to! Our God is too good of a God... He did not intend for you to be starving and so distracted and consumed with thoughts of food! We pray that this episode helps you on your journey to healing your relationship with food

This week we are diving into Ecclesiastes, which is a book of the Bible that is frequently misinterpreted when taken out of context. Everything in life truly is meaningless and like a vapor, fleeting and vanishing, unless it is for God's glory. So in everything that we do, we should look to glorify Him - and we can do this in terms of our health! Tune in this week to learn how as well as how to stop chasing everything under the sun and keep chasing THE Son!

In our society, it is so normalized to do anything in our power to strive for a thinner body because it is believed that our thinnest self is our best self (which isn't true). This believe usually leads us taking disordered action in the name of "health" ... but these disordered eating & exercise habits are actually unhealthy (and put us more at risk for developing an eating disorder).
And this striving for thinness and making that our main goal is taking us further from the Lord because we are chasing after a number on the scale more than we are chasing Him. We end up putting greater importance in how we look over our relationship with God.
Listen to this week's episode to hear more about how striving for thinness is a modern day idol! In this week's episode we relate our call to be childlike & having a childlike faith to getting back in touch with our hunger cues. When we were children, we ate intuitively... but along the way diet culture has infiltrated our lives and disrupted our hunger/fullness cues and the trust we've had with our bodies.
Just as Christ calls us to be like a Child to get into the kingdom of Heaven, we are also called to return to how we used to eat as children. And if we practice this... we will be like a weaned child, perfectly content (Psalm 131)!
