  • Podcast 45- Solo Podcast.

Stream of consciousness, I share my journey from self-loathing to self-love and how uncoiling emotions from my food choices helped not only heal my condition but maintain my health. My emotional relationship with food was fueled by my disconnection from my body. Tending to my body through illness taught me how to love myself and stop comparing and judging my only amazing body. I hope you enjoy this quick podcast. It is hard to put out this information as it feels intensely vulnerable. But it is worth it if this can help you or someone you love. My highest calling isn't my comfort zone but to help my community. Enjoy.

  • In episode 42, Karen Hurd and I chat about all things peri-menopause. I have been educating myself rabidly for the past 5 years in anticipation of this transition. I wanted to plan, prepare, and mentally grow into this space that I would soon inhabit and live in for the rest of my days. I also wanted to take responsibility for this transition and make changes to maintain health and wellness through a ( potentially) turbulent time. I loved every minute of this chat with my mentor of 11+ years. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

  • Episode 34: Dr. Anita Johnston joins me to discuss the root cause of disordered eating and how to heal through story and metaphor. I struggled with an eating disorder in high school. I couldn't afford therapy then and felt ashamed about asking for help. I felt like I should know better. So I spent my free time alone in the library, educating myself about healing and food's role in my life. I slowly untangled the knot inside me and went into complete remission. It was nice to chat openly about my shadow with Dr. Johnston. She is a wealth of information and offers skilled guidance to those who seek it.

  • In Episode 29, I am joined by Dr. Nicky Keay, a specialist in women's hormones and recently wrote a fanatics book, "Hormones Health and Human Potential: A guide to understanding your hormones to optimize your health and performance."

We dove deep into LEA, a topic I am very passionate about. LEA stands for Low Energy Availability, and I have seen its impact on women's health firsthand in my practice. In pursuit of a skinny culture, I undernourished myself for most of my 20s and early 30s, all while working hard, partying, and working out like I had nutrients to spare. I had no idea this was a perfect recipe for fostering illness. At that time in my life, even if someone whispered the secret to great health in my ear, I probably would have ignored it. It's hard to imagine feeling shit when you still feel great. Anyway, I hope you enjoy our chat!

  • In Episode 27, I had the pleasure of picking @dr.tylerpanzner's beautiful brain about all things genetics, creating personalized stacks, ADHD, and so much more! In this clip, Dr. Panzner explains what many doctors and extreme diets miss when fear-mongering plant compounds- only certain genetic mutations should worry about "anti-nutrients." And, of course, those with gut dysbiosis might need to heal the gut before tolerating. Not being able to tolerate plant chemicals is often a sign of gut issues unless genetically driven.
