地摊儿，也叫小摊儿，或者摊子，在中国各地都有。地摊儿是“流动的商店”，一般来说, 通常会摆在路边、天桥上或者公交车站旁等人流较大的地方。

地摊儿上有各种各样的东西，比如 书、水果、衣服、食物等等。地摊儿上的东西非常便宜。一般来说，我们可以跟摊主 (也就是地摊儿的主人)砍价，以便买到更加便宜 的东西。

然而，地摊儿上的东西良莠不齐。有一次我买了一双鞋, 只穿了一个星 期鞋底儿就掉了下来。 不过, 有时候你也会买到物美价廉的东西。

在中国，地摊儿文化是一种很有特色的商业文化。有的地方因为晚上摆摊儿的人多，吸引了很多买东西的人，就形成了夜市。
5.
在夜市上，你不但可以品尝到很多具有中国特色的小吃, 而且还可以享受到来自其他地方的一些美食。在这里, 人们喜欢坐在一起一边吃东西一边自由自在的聊天。比如说, 聊一些最近发生的有趣的故事和新闻等等。

我叫丁爱杰, 今天我要分享一个令我一直感到沮丧的故事。说实话, 我长得不好看, 简单地来说就是丑。我并不是一个渴求成为吸引眼球的人。

也不是那种想听诸如” 哇! 你真漂亮!” 这种话的人。 任何一个有头脑的正常人都不会夸我漂亮。如果以“ 基因彩票” 举例, 那么我一个号码都没中过。

我父母长得都很好看, 没有人知道我遗传了谁。我十分健康, 没有任何缺陷或畸形。只是我的脸让人感觉很可怕。而我的哥哥姐姐们都很正常, 长得很像我的父母。

多年以来, 我已经习惯了自己的影像, 但每次看到镜子里的自己, 我还是想叫驱魔道长。哈哈哈…… 好在我心态好, 可以乐观地对待这件事。

Recently , A video of an 8-year-old boy driving a wooden car(木制玩具车）) became a hit on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok. The wooden car, resembling a tank with a Chinese national flag in the front, was a special National Day(国庆节) gift (礼物）made by his grandfather(爷爷）. Now please listen out and I am gonna read this story to you .
近日, 一位 69岁的 木工爷爷 李石水 引起 网友 关注。在 国庆节 来临 之际, 李爷爷 为 孙子 做了 辆 精致的 “ 礼炮车“, 还 插上了 中国 国旗。

打车去商场 take a taxi to the shopping mall
昨天 我和 哥哥 一起去 逛街，天气 有一点 阴，看起来 要 下雨的 样子。于是，我们 决定 打车 去 商场。
zuó tiān wǒ hé gē ge yì qǐ qù guàng jiē , tiān qì yǒu yì diǎn yīn , kàn qǐ lái yào xià yǔ de yàng zi . yú shì , wǒ men jué dìng dǎ chē qù shāng chǎng .
我们 站在 马路边 等 出租车。这时候 正好 过来 一辆 出租车，于是 我们 招手 示意 它停下来。
wǒ men zhàn zài mǎ lù biān děng chū zū chē . zhè shí hòu zhèng hǎo guò lái yī liàng chū zū chē , yú shì wǒ men zhāo shǒu shì yì tā tíng xià lái .
我们 刚 上车 做好，外面 就哗~哗~地 下起 雨来。这时 司机 师傅 对 我们说，”你们 真幸运，刚一 上车 就 开始 下雨了，一点儿 雨 也 没有 浇到。"
wǒ men zhàn zài mǎ lù biān děng chū zū chē . zhè shí hòu zhèng hǎo guò lái yī liàng chū zū chē , yú shì wǒ men zhāo shǒu shì yì tā tíng xià lái .
我说:" 嗯，赶早 不如 赶巧，正好 您到了。师傅，麻烦 带 我们去 中兴 商场。" "好的。"
wǒ shuō:" èn , gǎn zǎo bù rú gǎn qiǎo , zhèng hǎo nín dào le . shī fū , má fán dài wǒ men qù zhōng xīng shāng chǎng ." " hǎo de ."
这位 司机 师傅的 车 开得 又快 又稳，大约 10来 分钟 我们 就 到 了 要去的 商场。这时 外面的 雨 也停了。
zhè wèi sī jī shī fū de chē kāi dé yòu kuài yòu wěn , dà yuē 10 lái fēn zhōng wǒ men jiù dào le yào qù de shāng chǎng . zhè shí wài miàn dí yǔ yě tíng le .
于是，司机 师傅 又对 我们 说:" 你们 今天 这运气 也 太好了，这 要 下车了 雨 也停了。
yú shì , sī jī shī fū yòu duì wǒ men shuō:" nǐ men jīn tiān zhè yùn qì yě tài hǎo le , zhè yào xià chē le yǔ yě tíng le .
" 我说:" 这 都是 托您的 福。我们 可以 微信 付款 吗？" "可以，扫这里。"
" wǒ shuō:" zhè dōu shì tuō nín de fú . wǒ men kě yǐ wēi xìn fù kuǎn ma ?" " kě yǐ , sǎo zhè lǐ ."
我们 用 微信 付完款 后，一边 下车 一边 对 司机 师傅 说: “谢谢你 啊，师傅。" "不客气，再见。" “再见。"
wǒ men yòng wēi xìn fù wán kuǎn hòu , yī biān xià chē yī biān duì sī jī shī fū shuō: " xiè xiè nǐ a , shī fū ." " bù kè qì , zài jiàn ." " zài jiàn ."

The First Day In the New Company
今天 星期一，早上 大卫 去 新公司 上班。大卫 不开心，他在 中国 没有 朋友。约翰 先生是 新公司的 总裁。他 也是 英国人。他的 个子 很高，眼睛 很大，鼻子 高高的。他 没有头发。

You are more beautiful than you think
Zhou Wenjuan, a beautician in Yongzhou city, Central China's Hunan province, went viral by helping rural women in their 40s achieve stunning transformations in their appearance.
周文娟是来自中国湖南永州的一位美妆师，她为40多岁的农村女性化妆，因变妆前后对比惊人，在网上获得了大量关注。
Zhou Wenjuan, a 32-year-old lady,studied makeup skills in Beijing and now runs a beauty salon in Yongzhou city.
32岁的周文娟早些年在北京学习了化妆技术，之后回到永州开了自己的化妆工作室。
The makeup artist later found many middle-aged women in her hometown showed great interest in her cosmetics but didn't dare to try them. Having witnessed the amazing transformation of Zhou's granny, many female villagers grew more eager to wear makeup.
周文娟发现家乡的很多中年女性虽然对化妆很感兴趣，但却不敢尝试。直到她们看到奶奶变妆后的模样，许多人才更加积极地表示愿意尝试化妆。
Zhou was determined to help them free of charge, although it turned out to be a time-consuming job.
尽管这项工作非常耗时，但周文娟还是决定免费帮她们化妆。
"Many middle-aged women in the countryside are usually engaged in housework all day long and hardly have time to take care of themselves, therefore all efforts are worthy as long as they can appreciate the beauty of change," Zhou said.
周文娟说：“很多农村的中年女性平日里总是整天操持家务，都忘了好好爱自己。因此当看到村里的阿姨们化完妆后在镜子前惊喜又兴奋的样子，我觉得这一切都值了。"

WenXuan is my best friend. His family moved house last week.
2. 他们 搬进了 一幢 洋房, 外面 有 花园、车库 和 游泳池。
They moved into a foreign style house with a garden, garage and swimming pool outside.
3. 他们家 的 房子 前面 有一个 小花园, 房子 后面 有一个 大花园。
There is a small garden in front of their house and a big garden behind the house.
4. 车库 在 房子 左边, 游泳池 在 房子 右边。
The garage is on the left side of the house, and the swimming pool is on the right side of the house.
5. 他们 家 的 洋房 一共 有 三层。
Their house has three floors.
6. 一楼 有 客厅、餐厅、厨房 和 洗手间。
The living room, the dining room, the kitchen, and a bathroom are on the first floor.
7. 客厅 里面 有 沙发 和 电视, 餐厅 里面 有 餐桌 和 椅子。
The sofa and the television are in the living room, while the dining table and chairs are in the dining room.

There are three bedrooms on the second floor: his parents' bedroom, his brother's bedroom and his bedroom.

There are also two bathrooms on the second floor, while the study and guest rooms are on the 3rd floor.

今早 杰克 教我 学习了 一项 新的 运动——飞盘 高尔夫。他是 我 最好的 朋友, 现在 也是 我的 教练。
晚上, 我 用 汉语 给 我 的 中国 朋友 笑笑 发了 信息, 告诉 她 杰克 正在 帮我 学习 飞盘 高尔夫。我还 给 她 发了 一张 杰克的 照片, 上面 写着 关于 杰克 的 飞盘 高尔夫 运动员的 简介。
笑笑说, 这项 运动 看起来 很酷, 她 很喜欢，希望 有一天 可以 跟我 一起 学习 飞盘 高尔夫。她 还 告诉 我 她是 个 左撇子, 她 用 左手 投掷 飞镖 比 右手 更准。真巧 ,我 也是 个 左撇子。
于是 我问她:“ 那你 写字的 时候 也用 左手吗?” 她说:“ 我 天生的 左撇子, 小时候 我 常常 用 左手 写字和 拿筷子。可是 上学后, 我 的 老师 不让 我 用 左手 写字, 强行 把 我 从 左撇子 变成了 右撇子。唉! 我 现在 都是 用 右手 写字了, 不过 我 做其他 活动 时 还是 习惯 用 我的 左手 多一些。我 连 踢足球的 时候 都喜欢 用左脚 踢。哈哈……“ 我接着 问她:“那 你 现在 踢足球吗?” “ 现在 不踢了。以前 上学的 时候, 我 特喜欢 踢足球 和 打篮球、乒乓球 、排球 还有 打羽毛球。哇, 你的 朋友 杰克 好高啊! 你多高?”
我告诉 她:“ 我 1米91, 你呢?“ ” 天啊! 你们 都是 巨人啊! 我 比 你 矮很多, 我才 1米58。我喜欢 你的 大长腿。“ 于是 我 安慰 她说: ” 哈哈… … 谢谢, 我喜欢 你的 长头发。“
愉快的 对话 就这样 结束了。睡觉前, 我 又 给笑笑 发了 一条 信息, 告诉她 我把 她写的 故事 读给 了 我 的 另一个 最好的 朋友 克里斯 听。我们 一致 认为 你 真是 一个 又体贴 又 爱搞笑 的 人。明天见 , 提前 祝你 晚安, 好梦!

他 就是 花木兰。
On July 24, the live-action Disney movie Mulan will open in the US.
7月24日，迪士尼 真人版 电影《花木兰》将在 美国 上映。
This is not the first time Disney has made a movie about Mulan. In 1998, its animated film Mulan was a huge success. It made Mulan one of the most popular Disney princesses. And through the film, many people began to learn about and even fall in love with Chinese culture.
这 已经 不是 迪斯尼 第一次 拍摄 关于 花木兰的 电影了。其 1998年 动画版 的《花木兰》不但 取得了 巨大的 成功，也让 木兰 成为 最受 欢迎的 迪斯尼 公主 之一。并且 通过 这部电影，很多人 开始 了解、甚至 爱上 中国文化。
Mulan catches people’s hearts with her independence and courage.
木兰 以 她的 智勇双全 和 独立自信 深深地 打动了 人们的 心。
In most stories, the princess is always the one who needs to be saved.
在 大多数 传说 故事 中，公主们 总是 那个 需要 被拯救 的人。
But Mulan saves her country and people. She proves that women can be as good as men on the battlefield all.”
但是 花木兰 却与 以往的 公主 形象 不同，她 不但 拯救了 她的 国家 和 人民，而且 还 证明了 在 战场 上 女人 可以 做得 和 男人 一样 好。

一人食
Joy of Going Solo
你在餐厅里或许会看到一些人独自吃饭。
在过去，这些人可能会对“一人食”这件事感到尴尬，因为这或许意味着他
们没有朋友，不爱社交。但如今，情况正发生着变化。
“一人食”在中国也日益流行起来。“独自吃饭能让人们在私人空间中自由 地享用晚餐，”《中国日报》这样评论。
的确，当人们选择与他人共同进餐时，会无可避免受到同桌人的影响。如果一起就餐的人们习惯相似，他们便能幸运地享用一顿令人满意的菜
肴。
不然的话，大家就得面对一些令人尴尬的情况:不良的餐桌礼仪、不爱 吃的菜以及让人心烦的对话。
因此，“一人食”能够帮助大家避免糟糕的晚饭饭局、尴尬的人群以及无聊的对话。
北京师范大学新生王珂蕊便是个好例子。她常常独自在食堂吃饭，享受一个人的时光。
她说:“独自吃饭并不意味着我很孤独。恰恰相反，这能让我享受‘独处时光’，并且思考在学习过程中遇到的挑战。”
波士顿咨询公司的一份报告显示，如今许多收入稳定的年轻人都开始重新审视自己的社会角色。
28岁的赵莲雪是北京的一名媒体工作者，她表示，自己很享受独居生活。
由于不用给家人做饭，赵莲雪经常一个人在餐馆或者便利店吃饭。闲暇之余，她能读自己喜欢的书籍、爬山、去观光或者购物。
“这很贴心......但我真觉得这样没必要。我很享受‘一人食’，”赵莲雪说道。不难看出，对于许多年轻人而言，独自吃饭并非孤独，更多的是自由和

95后们通常第一份工作只会做几个月，所以要是公司想要留住他 们，不让他们出走，那就得做出调整。
《杭州日报》援引一家私人招聘公司的调查称，2019年春季，多达 76.6%的受访者在积极地寻找新工作。跳槽的首要原因是对薪水不 满意，其次是职业发展前景不明，升职空间有限。
调查显示，超过65%的受访者认为，选择离职是由于薪酬和福利较 低，其他因素也包括对具体职位缺乏兴趣、升职前景黯淡和工作压 力大。
对于越来越多的中国年轻职场人来说，春节假期后重返工作岗位的 第一天就是他们辞职的那一天。
比起被一视同仁的对待，千禧一代更喜欢被区别对待。他们的长辈 可能会对平庸的工作感到满足(尽管满意程度是一个不太好的职业 衡量标准)，但千禧一代则不然。
他们会一直寻找，直到得到他们需要的东西，比方说:学习和成长 的机会、目标感和高质量的公司管理。能够考虑到这三个工作期望 的领导者们就能激发年轻人的忠诚。
千禧一代想要的东西跟其他人别无二致，这并非巧合。他们只是要 得更多一些，而且不太可能傻等天上掉下来好工作。

青梅竹马的爱情The love of childhood sweethearts
还有什么能比和心爱的人一起长大更浪漫的 呢? 这是 恋人们 梦寐以求 的幸运吧?
hái yǒu shén me néng bǐ hé xīn ài de rén yì qǐ zhǎng dà gèng làng màn de ne? zhè shì liàn rén men mèng mèi yǐ qiú de xìng yùn ba?
在中国，这就 叫做“青梅竹马”，是被 人们 津津乐道 的。
zài zhōng guó , zhè jiù jiào zuò " qīng méi zhú mǎ " , shì bèi rén men jīn jīn lè dào de .
青梅 是 青的 梅子，比喻 年幼的 小孩，竹马 是指古时候儿童做游戏的时候拿竹竿当马骑，形容小孩儿天真无邪玩耍的样子。
qīng méi shì qīng de méi zǐ , bǐ yù nián yòu de xiǎo hái , zhú mǎ shì zhǐ gǔ shí hòu ér tóng zuò yóu xì de shí hòu ná zhú gān dāng mǎ qí , xíng róng xiǎo hái ér tiān zhēn wú xié wán shuǎ de yàng zi .
人们 用“青梅竹马”表达 孩子 之间 纯真、深厚的 感情，尤其指那些长大之后恋爱和结婚的孩子。
rén men yòng " qīng méi zhú mǎ " biǎo dá hái zi zhī jiān chún zhēn , shēn hòu de gǎn qíng , yóu qí zhǐ nèi xiē zhǎng dà zhī hòu liàn ài hé jié hūn de hái zi .
由于两个孩子一起长大，对对方的生活习 惯、喜好、脾气 等 都 了如 指掌，再加上 大量 共 处的时间，所以很容易产生感情, 长大后就有可能 成为 恋人，继续 两个人 的 缘分。

Lesser Fullness Solar Term 24节气之小满
每年 5月21日 前后, 小满 到来。
měinián wǔyuè èrshí yīrì qiánhòu, xiǎomǎn dàolái .“小满“ 是 中国 传统 二十四 节气 中 的 第 八个 节气。
" xiǎo mǎn " shì zhōngguó chuántǒng èr shí sì jiéqì zhōng de dì bāgè jiéqì .这个 时期, 稻谷 的 谷粒 开始 变得 饱满, 但 并未 完全 成熟, 因而 叫做 “小满”。
zhègè shíqī, nóng zuò wù de gǔlì kāishǐ biànde bǎomǎn, dàn bìng wèi wánquán chéngshú, yīnér jiàozuò " xiǎomǎn " .说到 节气, 人们 首先 会 想到的 就是 吃什么?
shuōdào jiéqì, rénmen shǒuxiān huì xiǎngdào de jiùshì chī shénme?那么, 小满吃什么呢?
nà me, xiǎo mǎn chī shén me ne?小满 期间, 夏收 就要 开始了。
xiǎomǎn qījiān, xiàshōu jiù yào kāishǐ le .由于 降雨量 大增 , 河水 被 灌满, ⻥虾 ⻓得 大而肥美。
