This week, Preacher Allan Ng reminded us that the Law reveals our sin, but the Gospel reveals our Savior. We are all sinners, yet through true repentance and faith in Christ, our sins are freely forgiven. Like the fig tree in the parable, God is gracious in His patience, and Jesus intercedes for us—so repent, cling to Christ, and bear fruit!

This week, Preacher Allan Ng explored Luke 4:1-13, revealing how Satan tempts us to doubt our identity, exploit our weaknesses, misuse our strengths, and even twist God’s Word. Yet, as Martin Luther reminded us, we are baptized in Christ—our identity as children of God is secure in Him. Trust His Word, stand firm—tempted yet triumphant, with victory in Christ alone!

In this Ash Wednesday sermon, Rev. Dr. William Chang invites us to reflect on Lent with clear-eyed purpose—to submit our flesh to God, rely fully on His grace, and walk in love and humility. Through the imposition of ashes, may we remember God’s love and grace in Christ: though we will return to dust, the cross marked on our foreheads and in our baptism is the sign of our redemption through faith in Christ. Let us reflect, repent, and draw closer to Him this season.

In his sermon, Pr. Allan Ng emphasized that true discipleship means fully trusting Jesus, even in areas we think we control. Referencing Luke 5:1-11, he highlighted how Simon Peter obeyed Jesus’ command despite doubts, then humbly fell on his knees, confessing his sinfulness and unworthiness before divine holiness. Yet, Peter not only acknowledged his sins but also received Christ’s grace, finding his worth and calling in Him. As disciples of Christ, we are called to follow His example, surrender to His will, and become fishers of men, sharing the gospel.

Pastor Allan Ng’s sermon today challenged us to live out our identity in Christ with intentionality and purpose. Begin each day by asking, “What will we put on?” as we consciously choose to clothe ourselves with Christlike qualities. Remember that as God’s chosen people—set apart, beloved, and called—we are to live lives of love, peace, and praise.
Live in love. Unite with one another in Christ, and forgive as the Lord forgave us. Above all, let us put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
Live in peace. Embrace the paradox of Christian life: "A Christian is a perfectly free lord of all, subject to none; a Christian is a perfectly dutiful servant of all, subject to all." Let this peace rule in our hearts as we serve and love others.
Live in praise. In all we do, whether in word or deed, let us do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Let us make it our goal to live every part of our lives for Christ, reflecting His love, peace, and glory in all that we do.

In today’s sermon, Pastor Allan Ng reflected on Luke 1:39–45, highlighting the themes of faith, festive joy, and fellowship in Christ. Mary’s faith shows the importance of saying “yes” to God’s call, acting on His Word with trust even when His plans seem daunting. Elizabeth’s joyful response reminds us that true joy comes from recognizing Christ’s presence, a joy that surpasses circumstances and overflows into worship. Their encounter illustrates the beauty of fellowship, where faith is strengthened, and believers encourage one another in God’s promises.
Say “yes” to Jesus, walking in faith, rejoicing in salvation, and embracing the fellowship of the Church as we share the hope of Christ with the world.

In the second week of Advent, we turn to Luke 3:1-6, where John the Baptist is called by God to prepare the way for Jesus. His message of repentance and baptism calls us to acknowledge our sins and prepare our hearts for the coming of the Lord.
John’s mission was not only for his time but for all of history, pointing to the eternal significance of turning toward God.
As we reflect on this season of anticipation, we are reminded that we, too, are called to make straight paths for Christ in our lives, preparing for His arrival with genuine repentance and a readiness to receive the knowledge of salvation.

God's missionary heart is seen in Jonah, who was sent to Nineveh despite his reluctance, showing God’s desire to reach all people. As the mission team prepares for their trip to Cambodia, let us pray for God’s protection, guidance, and wisdom. May their efforts reflect God’s love and bring hope to those they serve, just as Jonah’s message brought repentance to Nineveh. Bless their work and hearts on this mission.
