  • Storytelling is the heart of Yarn Quest, so why don’t you have a go at writing your own?

    In the Write Your Own Stories episode of Yarn Quest we hear a story from Sibyl and Aunty Brooke. They tell us their very own made-up story all about being a writer. Then Aunty Brooke will take you through writing your very own fiction (that’s made up) story! Then we hear from published writer and editor Jasmin McGaughey, she shares with us why writing stories is her favourite thing ever, and how you could become a writer when you grow up.

  • There are so many stories that talk about peace and war. What do you think war is all about? And how do we find peace? This episode is all about finding peace in times of imaginary war.

    In the Peace & War episode of Yarn Quest we hear stories from Raiden, Pania, Adelaide and Tane. They tell us their imaginary yarns about war and how they have found ways for their characters to find peace. Adelaide even shares with us what she learnt about the saying “the pen is mightier than the sword!” Then we hear from podcaster, historian and activist Boe Spearim, he shares with us what he’s learnt making his grown ups podcast called Frontier War Stories, and why is super important to learn the truth about the continent we all live on.
