  • In today's episode, Glenn and I had the delightful opportunity to hang out with spiritual coach, founder of Awaken and Rise Coaching, fellow ministerial classmate, and all ‘round lovely, joyful, and fun-loving soul, Nicolle Star.

Nicolle’s response to our question was simple: “I am Divine. I am Spirit, God. I am all of it.” She offered that we are all playing in this game of life as one.

We talked about seriousness vs. laughter, playfulness, and fun of being spiritual. We talked about revealing, not seeking for, who we truly are. We talked, connection, responsibility, ministry, integrity, and values. We talked judgement, knowing truth, intention, and awareness.

Nicolle also reminded us how much we can learn from kids; how boredom is an amazing opportunity to embrace the creativity we are; that there is no limit to the possibilities of creativity.

She also talked about her spiritual studies so far, with Dr. Erin Haskell and now Dr. James Mellon. About online vs. in-person community and intentionality. About creating something for herself.

Alan Watts, “Why do we attend church?,” the temple within, the Centre of Love, experiencing vs. being taught, and conscious conversations. This and so much more...

Plus, there's the super fun Rapid Fire Question Round at the end! Today’s “prize” was, “Becoming” a poem from “Elemental Magic: Poetic Chapters of Wild Self Love” by Sara Rogers.

  • In today's episode, Glenn and I had the enriching opportunity to spend some time with transformation expert, intuitive healer, author, and speaker Angela Strank.

From her expression of graciousness for the land acknowledgement offered by Glenn, Angela emphasized what vital roles the land and its energy play in her life.

In answering our big, juicy question, she responded, “How do you answer that?! There are so many layers.”

Angela talked about small vs. big picture and about being “all of it.” She spoke of the magic and energy of richness, expansion and healing, and endless potential for expansion. She talked feelings, connectedness, and aliveness.

And things really got going when I asked Angela about horses. She talked about them being the love of her life. Her relationship with her horse, Elvis. Why the relationship between rider and horse is such a profound one, and how that relationship is a brilliant metaphor for surrender and trust.

We talked presence, choices, chakras, isolation, and energy, energy, energy. This and so much more...

In today's episode, Glenn and I had the amazing opportunity to hang out with soulful, spiritual, dynamic, hilarious, singer/songwriter and spiritual powerhouse Amy Steinberg.

Beginning with gratitude, Amy told us that she believes she’s a dynamic expression of the most High Love, and that she lives in and creates a kaleidoscopic world of art, music, family, travel, and life.

Amy talked about falling in love with her mom, about happiness as her ambition, and how her intention is to get clear on what she really wants.

We talked about creativity, and not having to wait for or get anywhere to experience our most amazing life. We talked ministerial studies, gave some shout-outs to our classmates and teacher Dr. James Mellon, about success, and beauty and discord. Rose-coloured glasses, empathy, spiritual bypass, Maria Nemeth, and the lineage of Science of Mind are just a few of the topics that bubbled up during our lively, engaging, conversation. This and so much more. . .

Amy also treated us to two of her original tunes: “Love’s Life” and “One Step.”

Plus, there's the super fun Rapid Fire Question Round at the end! Today’s “prize” was from “Gratitude” from "Love Without Conditions: Reflections of the Christ Mind" by Paul Ferrini.

  • In today's episode, Glenn and I had the wonderful opportunity to spend some time with creative problem solver, award-winning multi-media artist and photographer, nature champion, sustainability advocate, self-professed possibilitist, and TEDx speaker, Frances Litman.

Frances' opening response of, "I ask myself that all the time" opened the door to an engaging, passionate conversation on positivity, consciousness, the power of nature, asking ourselves what we want, and becoming aware that we are always creating our future in the present moment.

Frances talked about her teen years working at a local newspaper, and the transition from typewriters, newswire, and film to computers, internet, and digitization. Truth seeking, asking questions, interconnectivity, critical thinking, the creative process, perception, David Suzuki, looking through lenses, always choosing, the virtual life of today's youth, the empowerment of being in nature, solutions, narrative, First Nations wisdom, and the power of prayer and meditation are just some of the topics that bubbled up during our time together.

  • In this episode, Glenn and I had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with avid learner, passionate educator, questioner, energy enthusiast, particle and/or wave of God, and new friend, Donna Palmer.

From the get go, Donna shared how curiosity, observing, searching, and asking questions is such a fulfilling way to approach life.

We talked interconnectedness, and how life and ageing can often lead to labels, making things solid, and leave little from for questioning.

We talked Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton, Henry Nelson Weiman, evolution, polarization, and how important it is to discover things for yourself rather than depend on the media or others to tell you "like it is." Donna shared her thoughts about education and how what once worked no longer does.

We discussed the concept of "fitting into little boxes," about people serving the organization rather than the organization serving the people, external drivers, limited resources, and "reserv(ing) the right to improve upon the best" we knew.

Covid as a change agent, the evolution of news, fact vs. opinion, responsibility and choice, tuning into the vibration of the earth, trusting ourselves, and "putting it into a question" are just some of the topics that bubbled up during our time together.

  • Warning! This episode contains explicit language. In this episode, Glenn and I had the delightful opportunity to spend some time in conversation with the thoughtful, funny, insightful, one-time nurse, actor, aboriginal ally, addict supporter, actor, and ordained minister - among other things - Rev. Patricia Zogar.Rev. Patricia's very candid response of, "I don't have a clue" opened the door to a wonderful, contemplative, inspirational, and often humorous conversation about Consciousness, and how, in Rev. Patricia's mind, we are a blend of the memories of what we've done, the attention focused on "right now," and the aspirations for the future. She told us about her initial resistance to Christianity and the idea that people need to be saved from something (by Jesus); about not apologizing for who you are; and, about balancing personal vs. collective reality. We talked about EST/Landmark, affirmative prayer, how saying "thank you" turns God into a person, and how vital it is for inclusivity to be demonstrated rather than just talked about. We talked Jesus, Buddha, and paganism, and how important it is to see and connect with the beauty of nature. Rev. Patricia talked about how everything and nothing is important, and that, even after decades of being on her spiritual journey, she continues to go through dark nights of the soul.Accountability, discomfort, noticing, "All is well," sense of purpose, waiting to die, cancer, generational trauma, attention vs. intention, the mind/body connection, Christian Science vs. New Thought - these are just some of the topics that bubbled up during our time together. This and so much more. . . !Plus, there's the super fun Rapid Fire Question Round at the end!A new episode posted at least twice a month! Background Illustration - sakkmesterke@123rf.comMusic - Vasco Lourenco@123rf.comWhether you're in Nanaimo, BC or elsewhere in the world, to learn more about and get in touch with Rev. • In this episode, Glenn and I had the absolutely lovely opportunity to spend some time with singer/songwriter, guitarist, deep thinker, Spice Girls fan, contemplatively curious thinker, and gem of a friend, Danielle Lebeau Petersen!

Danielle told us from the start what a big, beautiful question she thinks "Who do you think you are?" is. Feeling lucky to be loved, she spoke of her love of lyric and her brain being peppered with lyric all the time.

We talked music, songwriting, the vast pool of Consciousness that is forever flowing through us all, living in harmony, awareness, and grace.

Danielle shared why she loves singing covers so much, speaking to the unifying power of connection that is sparked when singing someone's favourite song. We also talked about how covers can introduce us to another artist's music, that every version has something to offer, and how covers can mark the time in which they were released.

She also took us on a bit of a history lesson, speaking to the dissemination of music over the ages and through different mediums.

Somewhere in the midst of all that, Danielle treated us to her original tune, "Falling Rain."

  • In this episode, Glenn and I had the delightful opportunity to catch up with award-winning chocolatier, founder and creative genius behind "Live on Chocolate", art school graduate, skincare developer, and good friend, Stacey Burgess.

Curious maker, long-time vegan, entrepreneur, and champion of organic, fairly-traded ingredients, Stacey talked about how losing herself in her company has allowed her to discover who she is - beyond her work.

We talked about awareness, the stairways above and below the pigeon-holed ideas we can often have of each other, stress, resilience, perseverance, and commitment and care that comes from within.

Lesia and Stacey reminisced about their time spent at Lesia's former bakery, LPK's Culinary Groove, sharing their commitment to sustainability, and the imagination and creativity that comes out in what we do.

Stacey also talked about her recent foray into skincare. She shared how much she loves and values blending various aromas and ingredients, bringing them together in ways that support people in overcoming shame and judgement about themselves because of how they see their skin, experiencing that shame and judgement fade away as their skin becomes more vibrant, allowing them to really see themselves, perhaps for the first time.

We also talked inspiration, joy, perfume, anti-oxidants, beauty, love, and of course. . . chocolate!

  • 29jan22 - Inspired and activated by the Truckers Freedom Convoy to Ottawa, the incredibly enlightening interview with Jordan Peterson and the Hon. Brian Peckford, along with the palpable enthusiasm and unifying voice sweeping the nation, Glenn and I invited back one of our favourite guests for our very first live streamed podcast so we could talk about the topic of the day - freedom! It was so fun to welcome back psychology and philosophy student, writer, editor, and critical thinker extraordinaire, Emily Rodgers. And, much to our collective joy, our conversation was rich, engaging, and full of ideas and questions as we got caught up on how each of us was feeling about the ongoing Covid response in our country and the province of British Columbia, how we all felt so ignited by the Peterson Peckford interview, and what the Truckers Freedom Convoy represented for hundreds of thousands of Canadians who were finally starting to feel heard and that they were not alone.Emily began by saying how grateful she felt to be, "no longer screaming into the void," and how she felt a sense of relief, pride, and connection she hadn't felt as a Canadian in a long, long time. We talked freedom, unity, peace, charity, and support. We talked about how there was something inherently Canadian about truckers protesting peacefully (even having a good time while doing so) in their big 18-wheelers, with steam and exhaust hissing from valves and pipes; about flags on hockey sticks waving, and warm breath steaming up the cold winter air; and coming together across this nation of ours as one, unified voice.Sticks and carrots, lack of opposition and debate, "who governs me?", and resilience were just some of the aspects of freedom that bubbled up during our time together.Glenn also gave a shout out to journalist and author of "The Field" and "The Power of Eight", Lynne McTaggart for her blog post, "Keep on Truckin' Together" in which she talks about the profound power of intention. This, and so much more...!For links to referenced posts, please scroll down below. There was no super fun Rapid Fire Question Round this time, but Glenn did offer us all a prize regarding courage and freedom - an excerpt from Jordan Peterson's book, "Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life!"A new episode posted at least twice a month! Background Illustration - sakkmesterke@123rf.comMusic - Vasco Lourenco@123rf.comTo learn more about and get in touch with Emily please email her at: emily@emilyrodgers.ca or visit her website at: https://emilyrodgers.ca/ .Jordan Peterson's interview with the Hon. • In this episode, Glenn and I had the wonderful opportunity to engage and connect with new friend, perinatal counsellor, freedom advocate, mom, wife, and critical thinker, Maribelle (a.k.a. Karine). Maribelle got the conversation going by talking about how she believes so many of us are so wrapped up in our jobs, even identifying as the work we do. She goes on to say what a small aspect our jobs and work are in the grand scheme of things, and that we are so much more than that.We talked engagement, connection, opportunity, triggers, perception, intention, the importance of prayer, new motherhood, and freedom. We talked about risk analysis; "going back to caveman;" how important it is to connect to each other and our innate wisdom; how vital it is to connect to the land we are on; and, about how our choices impact not only ourselves but others as well. We also talked about the value of the individual vs. the collective, and how who we are and who we think we are is reflected right back at us in everyone in our lives and the experiences we create for ourselves. So what are we choosing to think. . . ? What are we choosing to believe. . . ?Rich, candid, funny, thoughtful and thought provoking - what an amazing way to start of our 2022 podcast year! This, and so much more...!Plus, there's the super fun Rapid Fire Question Round at the end!A new episode posted at least twice a month! Background Illustration - sakkmesterke@123rf.comMusic - Vasco Lourenco@123rf.comTo learn more about and get in touch with Maribelle (a.k.a. What a delight and how super fun it was to spend some time with ministerial and metaphysics student, spiritual counsellor, financial advisor, and uber Rush fan, Thomas DeSchutter!

With his opening response of, "I don't know anymore who I am", our conversation quickly leaned into what it means to navigate the present moment in tact, and how ultimately, gratitude is where it's at.

Thomas talked to us about how his spiritual studies have lit a fire in his soul and heart, and about how the work we do on ourselves is constant and never done. He talked about how that work allows us to lessen the gap between where we are and what is possible that much more quickly.

We talked curiosity, labels, and integrity.

We also delved into the world of crypto currency, which opened the conversational door to the concepts of safety and risk. Money, value, scarcity, inflation vs. devaluation, Cesar's trimming of gold coins, Bitcoin, proof of work vs. staking, the value of money, and looking at currency in new ways all made for a rich, engaging, juicy conversation that could've kept going beyond the recorded two hours!

Thomas also told us of having his mind blown at 7 years old when he first heard Rush drummer Neil Peart, and how the music of Rush inspired him to become a rock musician himself - both ruining and making his life!

Thomas also shared his 5 Money Principles, and the 3 main teachings of Jesus distilled down to healing one another, breaking bread together, and building community.

We talked freedom of choice, bodily autonomy, standing in Principle, segregation, using our imagination, and not being afraid to die. This, and so much more...!

Ursula Lentine! One of our favourite conversations to date! :)Rev. Ursula's playful opening response of, "I am a speck of stardust in the Infinite Reality of the Cosmos; I am you, you are me", opened the door to an expansive conversation on freedom, choice, identification, Covid, The Hero's Journey, perception, surviving vs. thriving, control, questioning, faith and belief, and wanting to fit in.We talked about FOMO, the value of comfort (our own vs. others'), internal vs. external locus of control, and the challenges, even darkness of subconscious programming.Ursula also talked about her work, including Internal Family Systems, Pranic Healing, her year-long "Self-Mastery Course" (see link below), and her weekly online Twin Hearts Meditation (see link below). One of Ursula's final statements, "My brain and all parts of me trust ME" landed in a very profound way, bringing Lesia to tears. This, and so much more...!Plus, there's the super fun Rapid Fire Question Round at the end!A new episode posted at least twice a month! Background Illustration - sakkmesterke@123rf.comMusic - Vasco Lourenco@123rf.comTo learn more about and get in touch with Ursula, check out these links:http://www.Ursulalentine.comhttp://www.youtube.com/c/UrsulaLentinehttps://www.facebook.com/ursula.lentinehttps://www.meetup.com/Twin-Hearts-Me...https://cf.clearmypath.com/self-masteryJoin Lesia's Soul Excavation community at https://www.lesiakohut.com . • What an absolute delight it was to finally reconnect with friend, transition coach, healer, teacher, and champion of ceremony - Treecia Ramey! Her candid opening response of "Is it okay if I say I haven't got a clue. . .?" opened the door to a rich and enthusiastic discussion on being okay with living in the "I don't know", being in transition, and the importance of ceremony in our lives.

Treecia talked about how her recent "Reconnect Now - No More Waiting!" online Summit came out of her passion for ceremony, and how feeling alone, depressed, even abandoned by the Divine, all led her to put together this incredible event so people all over the world could acknowledge, celebrate, and reconnect to the authentic self within, and to those in our lives.

We talked shadow work, supporting family and friends through challenges, the meaning and value of ceremony for life events that often go unacknowledged, the connection between paganism and ceremony, and how triggers inform us. We also talked about the value of preparing for ceremony, and the commonality in what we value and want for our families, communities, and ourselves.

Treecia also talked about her experience as a parent to a transgender person, which led to discussion of masculine and feminine energy, language, narrative, scripts, the drama triangle, and the concentric circles of perspective. This, and so much more...!

How wonderful it is when you meet someone new and immediately feel comfortable, at ease, and the conversation just flows! This is exactly what Glenn and I experienced in our latest episode with the delightful, thoughtful, questioning, and "super easy and fun to hang out with" Holly McCorriston.

Holly's response of "I am a channel through which Universal energy expresses itself" was the jumping off point for an expansive, engaging, and enriching conversation on love, intuition, Knowing (with a capital "K"), critical thinking, and how broken down systems make it challenging for receivers and givers to support and feel supported.

A former pharmacist, Holly spoke about how she used to be one of those "experts in the white lab coat." Over time, she discovered that the she had so much more to offer than what she was able to do as a pharmacist, so eventually gave up her licence, following her intuition to become a transformational coach to women on their journeys of self-discovery and empowerment.

We talked about being scared to speak, tuning into what feels good vs. what doesn't, self-awareness, self-responsibility, solutions, support, gratitude, being in transition, impending motherhood, binary thinking, holding space for ourselves and others, breathing, and turning attention within rather than always looking outside ourselves for guidance.

    This, and so much more...!

Plus, there's the super fun Rapid Fire Question Round at the end!

What an absolute delight it was to spend time with the amazing, intuitive, colourful, inspirational, stylin' Rev. Andrea Arlington! An author, coach, minister, mom, former reality TV star, friend, and more, Andrea's response of "I am more non-physical than physical" was the jumping off point for a thoughtful, honest, and insightful conversation filled with bravery and vulnerability, and laughter.

As we talked about how to live from the Quantum (infinite possibilities) while still being rooted in our seemingly physical reality (life), we talked parenting, the power of choice, how everyone wants to feel loved and like they belong, and about seeing the innate perfection of everyone - no matter what their behaviour. Andrea told us how our words are like magic wands and that it's so important to choose and use them wisely - that everything we think and say is what ultimately creates the reality we experience.

Andrea also talked very poignantly and candidly about how her experimentation with psychedelics at a very early age were her "initiation" into the realm of energy and spirituality, even though she didn't realize it at the time. She also talked about her close relationship with her younger brother, who died at the age of 17 from an accident involving alcohol and other drugs, and how he continues to be one of her spiritual guides to this day.

Andrea also introduced us to a few of her favourite books over the years, and the profound value and gift of gazing into your own pupils. We also talked about how much we both love Kenneth Soares and the mind-shifting power of affirmations!

We talked perception, soul tribes, calling on the non-physical for guidance, addiction, recovery, compassion, her love for her daughters, her grandkids, Pink Floyd, reality tv, and ministry. This, and so much more...!

  • Even though the conversation got pretty heavy, what an absolute honour and thrill it was to welcome thinker, writer, philosopher, and psychology student, Emily Rodgers!

The words "I am free," - Emily's resounding response to our big question - were the rich inspiration for a frank, candid, curious, sometimes worrying conversation on personal freedom, critical thinking, and responsibility for the reality we are each creating for ourselves, and for our world.

We talked about value, meaning, the concept of objective truth, morality, and justice. We also talked about what can happen (hello, world) when realities clash and our truth/reality impinges on another's truth/reality.

Much to Glenn's and my delight, we also got to hear a teenager's perspective on what's happening in our corner of the globe concerning the potential impact of newly mandated health passes as our daughter Mylana joined in on the conscious conversation about halfway through.

Beliefs, consciousness, responsibility, empowerment, freedom, and how to apply our freedom all made it into the conversation. We also talked about Emily's recently released, very poignant video/letter calling out Prime Minster Justin Trudeau for how our country is currently being led.

    This, and so much more...!

  • What an incredible episode this turned out to be with musician, actor, social activist, and activational speaker Daryl Davis!

"I am just an ordinary person who wants to make society a better place to be, just like my parents did for me." This was Daryl's response to our big question, and the jumping off point for what felt like in incredible, eye-opening master class for the first half of the show.

Daryl shared stories of his multicultural upbringing, his first experience with racism at age 10, and how his European life experience compared with his American life experience. He talked about how, from that initial experience with racism in America (that was so different from his life experience in Europe), the main question he wanted answered was, "How can you hate me when don't know even know me?"

He also talked about his first encounter with a Ku Klux Klan member, and how that meeting eventually led to an interview and subsequent friendship with the Grand Dragon of the KKK of Maryland, Roger Kelly.

Daryl talked about how ignorance leads to fear which breeds hatred which incites anger which lead to destruction. He also talked about the different kinds of racism, and how important it is to get to the root of the cause, rather than just deal with the symptoms.

    This, and so much more...!

And, because we just, just started talking about music before our time was up, we're gonna get together again for "Part 2" with Mr. Daryl Davis soon!

  • I can still feel the warm, fuzzy glow Glenn and I both experienced from today's episode with the lovely, insightful, and inspirational Maria Nemeth. Psychologist, ontologist, published author, transformational speaker, and empowerer of thousands, being immersed in Maria's energy was an absolute joy!She started off by saying how much she loves our big question, and talked about how there is so much nuanced meaning to the question depending on how it's asked. (This made me feel giddy, as I've devoted a section of my new, upcoming book to that very topic!)As we got into our conversation, we learned that Maria feels she is here to give people principles and tools they can use to live with more clarity, focus, ease, and grace. She told us that life is about doing what we are meant to be doing; that it's about discovery and empowerment. We went on to talk about the importance of distinctions - principles vs. tools, psychology vs. spirituality, and spirituality vs. ontology. Maria also shared her insights on why being willing is the absolute number one thing we can do in order to change our lives. She also highlighted the difference between being willing (verb) vs. willingness (noun). One of the most valuable nuggets was Maria's introduction on the word "nevertheless". She told us about what an activational tool this word was for her as she went through chemo fifteen years ago, and how adding "nevertheless" before anything that requires our attention empowers us to go ahead and do whatever it is we want or feel we need to do, regardless or in spite of what's going on.Maria also talked about the "Four Boxes", about our brains and conclusions, and introduced us to the concept of Julian Rotter's internal vs. external locus of control. She also told us about her "Mastering Life's Energies" program, the power and value of coaching, and the "Gratitude Protocol".This, and so much more...!Plus, there's the super fun Rapid Fire Question Round at the end!A new episode posted at least twice a month! Background Illustration - sakkmesterke@123rf.comMusic - Vasco Lourenco@123rf.comJoin Lesia's Soul Excavation community at https://www.lesiakohut.com . • In today's episode, Glenn and I had the enlightening, entertaining, and super fun opportunity to chat with our friend and one of my fellow classmates, Rev. Liza Marquez! Speaker, writer, minister, and all 'round powerhouse, Rev. Liza's response to our question (after giving us a glowing review of our podcast... thank you Liza!) came down to the distinction between who she knows herself to be vs. what she sometimes thinks herself to be.We talked about standing in your own truth, and the power of dreams. Our conversation invited us to consider what we're anchoring ourselves in; the value of security; and the power of curiosity in our lives.Rev. Liza also talked very honestly and candidly about how her separation from several years ago was the impetus for her deep dive into Spirituality/Consciousness Studies, and how what she learned ended up allowing her to see her ex-partner as a reflection of herself, finding compassion, understanding and grace where there had been anger, divisiveness, and pain for so long.We talked about Oneness; and the profound meaning of the slogan, "Every Child Matters" which commemorates, honours, and brings awareness to the thousands of former residential school children and their families/communities in Canada, including the recently discovered bodies found in mass burial sights across Canada.Glenn also brought in his new take on Noah's Ark, the "Knower's Ark/Arc", which invites us to consider what thoughts, beliefs, and ideas we choose to bring with us to populate our new Earth (i.e. life experience). We were also introduced to "Nugget", Rev. Liza's new dog! This, and so much more...!Plus, there's the super fun Rapid Fire Question Round at the end!A new episode posted at least twice a month! Background Illustration - sakkmesterke@123rf.comMusic - Vasco Lourenco@123rf.comJoin Lesia's Soul Excavation community at https://www.lesiakohut.com .
