Unlawful Entry is a 1992 thriller that will likely have you interested from start to finish. A man and wife make possibly the worst mistake of their life by befriending a charming and seemingly harmless police officer. It turns out that the officer is a complete nutcase and won't stop until he's gotten what he wants even if it means destroying the lives of anyone that gets in his way.
Ryan and Mark both recommend seeing this one if you're interested.

A Working Man is another typical Jason Statham film that most audiences will enjoy. In this one, he plays a humble construction worker with a military background that takes on an organized crime group.

The Woman in the Yard is a horror film that explores many heavy topics such as depression, grief, generational trauma, and even suicide. The cast is small and includes a mother and her two children. The mother is clearly battling some hard mental struggles throughout the film while simultaneously trying to play her role as leader and caregiver to her family.
Audiences will likely have mixed feelings about this film. Ryan and Mark are somewhat split in their rating as well but neither recommend rushing to see it.

The Alto Knights is based on true events and covers some of the mob activities in the US in the mid 20th century. Robert De Niro takes on dual roles as the film's main protagonist and main antagonist. The film covers the internal mob struggles that ultimately led to significant changes throughout the organization.
Ryan and Mark give this film an 8 and 7, respectively and do recommend seeing it.

Snow White is the most recent Disney remake. It is different than the original in that it is a live action film with some computer generated imagery but also there are some significant deviations from the original story. Snow White is a princess who has had her family and kingdom stolen from her by a witch. In the film, she has to work with some unlikely allies to regain what was stolen from her.
Ryan and Mark do recommend taking the kids to see this one. However, adult audiences might have mixed feelings. Ryan and Mark give the film a 7.5 and 4, respectively.

Fargo (1996) is a story of a simple scheme to illegally attain money that turns into a complete mess for everyone it touches. The movie stars William H. Macy as a sales manager at a car dealership that is scheming on multiple fronts to defraud. As the movie goes on, things continue to get worse and worse. The movie does an excellent job of adding a comedic undertone.
This film is a classic and Ryan and Mark both strongly recommend it.

Novocaine is a movie about a guy with a rare genetic disorder that causes him to feel no pain. He has thought of the condition as a weakness his entire life but he is presented with an opportunity to become somewhat of a hero in the film because of it. He spends the majority of the movie trying to save his love interest from a gang of robbers but finds that things aren't quite what they seem to be.
Ryan and Mark both really enjoyed this movie and do recommend seeing it. They give it an 8 and 8.5, respectively.

Black Bag is a movie about spies working to uncover the work of another spy 🕵️♀️ 🕵️♂️. Throughout the film, the crew of spies are all working different angles to uncover unknown plots and actions. Each plot and action being worked is not equivalent to the next but they're all interesting and will have you engaged throughout.

Mickey 17 is a sci-fi movie starring Robert Pattinson as an expendable clone (Mickey) used to test the dangers of a new world. The movie gets complicated when Mickey 17 doesn't die when he's supposed to and Mickey 18 is created. As they navigate the challenges of the situation, the characters (and audience) begin to appreciate many things they had not previously.

In The Lost Lands is a sci-fi movie based in a post-apocalyptic world. The film is based on a George R. R. Martin book with the same title. The movie follows two characters on a quest and on the run from a group of what appear to be extremists.
The movie overall will probably be considered average at best for most. Ryan and Mark do not recommend this film and give it a 5 and 3.5, respectively.

Last Breath is a thrilling movie based on a true story about a team of experienced deep sea divers that have a normal dive turn into a rescue mission. The movie becomes very intense very quickly keeping the audience on the edge of its seat. The film does a great job of taking you into a job most people wouldn't dream of or aren't capable of doing.

Not Without My Daughter is an early 90s film starring Sally Field as Betty Mahmoody. The film is based on a true story about a woman that ended up stuck in Iran against her will because her husband tricked her into going with no plans of bringing her back to the states. Most of the film is spent showing how she worked to escape the country despite overwhelming odds.
Mark and Ryan both recommend this film if you're into movies that are a little older.

Good Fellas is a movie based on a true story about the Italian mob in New York in the 1950-70s. It is possibly the best overall movie from the 1990s decade and takes the audience into the world of organized crime. If by some chance you haven't heard of it or seen it, give it a watch ASAP as it is certainly a must watch and 10/10.

The Monkey is a horror comedy about a wind-up toy monkey that is fatal when its key is turned to wind it up. The monkey enters the lives of two brothers in somewhat of a mysterious way and very early on they realize something could be horribly wrong with it. It isn't until it is too late that they realize the true nature of the monkey.
Overall, it is an OK movie. Ryan and Mark give it a 5 and 6.5, respectively.

Captain America: Brave New World is the most recent Marvel movie where the new Captain America (Anthony Mackie) faces the aftermath of a mineral rich Celestial rising from the ocean. Cap essentially has to stop an unknown enemy before a global treaty falls through and chaos breaks out.
Ryan and Mark remain let down by this most recent Marvel production and give the film a 6 and 6.5/10, respectively. We don't recommend rushing to see this one.

Love Hurts is the story of an ex-hitman turned real estate agent that is drug back into his old life against his will. The film is a Valentine's Day film with action, romance, and comedy splashed all over. Unfortunately, while the action is OK, the romance and comedy portions fall mostly flat. If you decide to watch this on VDAY, you might be disappointed.
Ryan and Mark give it a 5/10 and 6/10, respectively and don't recommend it.

Heart Eyes is a merciless killer that's on the loose on Valentine's Day. Couples are the main target but no one is safe. This movie is a horror/slasher with not a small amount of comedic romance. If you're looking for something to watch on VDAY with your squeeze, look no further especially if you can stomach the genre (it really isn't too scary in our opinion)

Companion released in January of 2025 and is a horror/sci-fi film about a guy (Jack Quaid) in a relationship with a synthetic female named Iris (Sophie Thatcher). Everyone seems to know Iris is a robot except the audience and Iris herself. Iris, the innocent and loving robot, finds herself (itself?) in a sinister plot to take advantage of someone you might not expect. Ultimately, Iris finds herself just trying to survive.
Ryan and Mark both recommend this film and give it an 8 and 8.5/10, respectively.
