Hosted by a couple of goofs based locally in Kowloon, Hanley Chu and Mario Chui.Stylist and general creative person Jennie Wong is somebody we met early on in our career, it was nice to speak with her about her come up since we started the hustle alongside each other. She shared some of the dark side of pursuing a creative journey that we often dismiss because of our ambition and passion for our crafts,it is very nice to have these wake-up calls on finding the balance between health and hustle.

This week we couldn’t book a guest so we decided to sit down and drop some social commentary wisdom on these streets.
This is a short episode of us discussing Kanye and his love for the social justice warriors and how we perceive Hong Kong’s woke culture.

Coba is our neighbour, collaborator, and a misunderstood Hong Kong creative. Most known for role as a movie director but this is not what he wants to be remembered for. In this episode we discussed the life lessons he picked up early in his career, what roles he wants to play in the Hong Kong scene, and we complained with him about the phenomenon of the cantonese recession.
It’s good to be able to have a good longfrom conversation with a homie that we always see but never had a long sit down occasion for these deep talks. Join us as we catch up and hash things out.

Spam & Eggs is a talk show where we spam the audience with our usual bs and a place for us to egg on our weekly guests. Hosted by a couple of goofs based locally in Kowloon, Hanley Chu and Mario Chui.Jeff, a colleague of Mario in their early days as photojournalists, one of the most handsome in the office in our early 20s. After a few years apart, Jeff is still handsome, but now has transitioned into different forms of creative mediums. Recently he had a workshop right here at Eaton, so we decided to have him come on the show to tell us about his journey.
Graduated from the School of Communication of Hong Kong Baptist University in 2016, and obtained his Master of Arts in Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2022. Aside from working as a photojournalist, Jeff is also an artist. He has received awards from various international photography competitions, and was invited to participate in Para Site’s ‘Studio + Archive Project’ (2022). In this artist’s multimedia works, which are derived from his working experience, he reacts to the conditions of the viewers and those of the photographer themselves, through the perceptual experience of photography.

James aka Yao is the programming director for Eaton HK, he spoke with us about his origin story, his background in organising events/ parties, and dropped us some wisdom along the way.
We are happy to have our podcast under Eaton Radio and super thankful for James and Eaton facilitating not only the radio programs but also a variety of workshops and activities throughout the year. This Hotel in Yau Tsim Mong is definitely the community centre that is known and loved for the creative scene.

One of our day one homies in the scene, GeniuzF also known as Future. He's been rapping in cantonese for the past 15 years and someone that has been through a lot of ups and downs as an artist. Despite all the setbacks he was a big inspiration for the new generations of young Cantonese rap scene. And arguably the dude that made all the stars aligned for the Eastwind Boys. Just got back to Hong Kong from a 3 year hiatus, we spoke to him about what it is like to live as an immigrant overseas and how he survived out in the Wild Wild West.

Today for World Environment Day, we would like to highlight a conversation held last week at Eaton Radio between three regional National Geographic Explorers. The Explorers are Pau Villanueva, a photo- journalist from Phillipines exploring stories of the intersectionality of queer and cultural identity in indigenous communities that have suffered from displacement, loss of ancestral land, and conflict, Keshab Gogoi, a conservationist from India whose works in the ecology of large carnivores (lions and cheetahs) and their conservation in multiuse human-dominated landscapes & Astrid A Andersson, an educator and researcher based here in Hong Kong whose research focuses on wildlife trade and the critically endangered yellow-crested cockatoo. The three, fresh off their week- long workshops and Spotlight event, speak about their unique practices, co-existence between humans and animals, animals and their environments and all things that shape their perspectives in the field.
A truly cross cultural and cross- disciplinary discussion! -

This International Mother Earth Day (22 April) we launched Humble Roots, a month-long public programme highlighting the value and spirit of the farming of our city, which explores the inextricable connection between human, food and nature and reimagine this connection with land through art and culture. Working alongside local agricultural organizations, crafters, farmers and artists, Humble Roots will present a series of workshops, exhibitions, and installations that share local farming stories in a hopeful bid to realize the peaceful coexistence of humans and the planet.
As part of the programme, we are delighted to work with local art NGO, soundpocket, presenting a sound installation of field recordings from local farming villages in Hong Kong. The sound installation will play at a station in the our lobby, but for those that aren't able to access our physical space, we here present the installation digitally.
