    Dr. Whitney Dicterow is a licensed clinical psychologist specialized in evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) for patients diagnosed with a variety of mood, anxiety, and adjustment disorders.   • All you hear on social media lately is "anxious attachment" this and "avoidant attachment" that! We spend a lot of time talking about what these patterns look like, which is great for identifying them and validating your experience.

    But the important next step that we must all take is then to talk about HOW TO BUILD SECURE ATTACHMENT! Because you absolutely can. Your attachment patterns are not set in stone.   • The #1 pattern that women come to me with in their love lives is the pattern of attracting emotionally unavailable partners. People who aren't looking for a relationship, are working or traveling a lot, have a complicated dynamic with their ex, the list goes on and on.

  • Over the last few years, the conversation around sober curiosity and examining our relationship with alcohol. I am honestly such a big fan of this movement, because I personally choose not to drink for a variety of reasons.

    In this episode I share the reasons why I don't drink, what my relationship with alcohol has looked like in the past (spoiler alert: not super empowered at times), and how not drinking impacts my social and romantic life.

    I believe that this is such an important conversation to keep having, and to normalize the fact that we don't have to drink to have fun or have a fulfilling social life!
