  • This week on Walking The Dog, Raymond and Emily are taking a stroll in London’s Finsbury Park with the extraordinarily talented comedian Pierre Novellie. 


    It was Pierre’s first time meeting Raymond, and although he doesn’t have a dog now - he fills us in about life growing up in Johannesburg with a guard dog who wasn’t very good at her job, and what it was like to have his parents replace him with two spaniels. 


    Pierre has written a brilliant book called Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things: A Comedian’s Guide To Autism - and Pierre tells us all about navigating social cues, and how he released he was different as a child.

    Jon has an adorable - albeit sometimes needy - elderly Spaniel Poodle cross called Josie who emigrated to the US with Jon and his family, alongside their other dog Floppy, a Tibetan Terrier, who sadly passed away a couple of years ago.


    Jon tells us about an infamous portrait that hung in the bar of the hotel run by his family in Wales, why being an outsider makes a good journalist, and what happened when he emailed his teenage bullies to tell them that he was a bestselling author.

  • Ashley James is our guest on Walking The Dog this week! Emily, Ashley and Ray met in London’s Green Park for a stroll past Buckingham Palace - where we were accompanied by the changing of the guard! 


    Ashley has a poodle called Snoop, who currently lives with her parents in the Lake District - after Ashley’s dad absolutely fell in love with him... she can't bring herself to ask for him back!


    As well as being mum to two young children, Ashley is a broadcaster and influencer who appears regularly on This Morning, and she uses her platform to be a voice for women and mothers online.


    We chat about how Ashley struggled with her identity after getting a scholarship to a boarding school, feeling insecure about her accent and what it was like to be on Made in Chelsea whilst struggling financially.
