NOTE: While you're certainly welcome to listen to this podcast in any order, I recommend listening in sequential order starting with Episode 1. I think you'll get more out of it that way!
Critical thinking is the most important skill you can have when you’re living in a world that seems to have lost its mind.
Everyone out there is trying to tell you WHAT to think, I want to teach you HOW to think!
In every episode, I’m exposing the logical fallacies & cognitive biases being used by advertisers, politicians, influencers, news outlets, social media memes, and maybe even your own best friend.
Warning: listening to this podcast will cause you to see bad thinking everywhere!
Welcome to the Filter It Through a Brain Cell Podcast!

👉Do you feel you have little understanding and resources of how to apply the trauma-informed strategies you’ve learned and you keep asking yourself, “now what?”
👉Do you find yourself alone in a sea of “traditional approaches to student behavior” and yearn for simple ways of applying the new trauma-responsive strategies in your classroom?
👉Do you find yourself triggered by your own students’ behavior with a tendency to respond to students the way you grew up only to find yourself blowing up after things pile up, letting emotional tension build?.

Do you feel called to write a fiction book?
Do you want to authentically honor God through your creativity without sounding preachy?
Are you finding yourself in the cycle of constantly rewriting your first draft?
Are you wondering how to write characters people will want to read about and plot points that will keep your reader on the edge of their seats?
I am so excited you are here! This podcast will help you finish that book you’ve always wanted to write and honor God through your creativity!
Hey, I’m Alivia. I’m a writer who loves Jesus, a book coach, and a certified developmental editor. For years I shut down my unique voice because I was so concerned with what culture dictated would make me a good artist.
I constantly compared myself to others.
I was stuck in writing routines that didn’t work for me.
I could never get the motivation to write. As a result, every single one of my creative projects fell flat.
Until one day, I partnered with the Holy Spirit in my creative process, and I finally felt the permission to write the book I LOVED while remaining in alignment with who God uniquely created me to be.
I created a simple outlining system that got me more excited and motivated to write! I found my content was resonating on a much deeper level with my audience, prompting authentic conversations about my faith.
And I’m sharing it with you!
If you’re ready to find a writing system that works for you, authentically represent God in your work, create characters and plot points your reader will resonate with, and finally have the motivation to finish your book – this podcast is for you!
Grab a notebook and a pen and let’s get inspired to write!
