Alright, Podsters, we all know the holiday season can get chaotic, but it doesn’t have to leave you feeling stressed, overextended, or completely overwhelmed. So let’s break down what each of these really means:
Stress: This one feels like pressure. It’s temporary and signals that you’re working through a challenge. You’re still functional, but juggling a lot.
Overextended: This is the hard truth—it’s when you’ve taken on more than you can handle. Something’s got to give.
Overwhelmed: The emotional rollercoaster. Overwhelm is consuming and can cause you to shut down entirely. It’s the point where you just can’t take another step.
Recognizing where you are on this spectrum is key—it helps you navigate the holiday season with more intention and clarity.
So now that we know what these are, what can we do about it?
Here are three simple steps to take back your peace as you approach overwhelm:
Step 1: Sit in Stillness
Take 5-10 minutes to simply pause and breathe. This moment of stillness interrupts the cycle of overwhelm and allows you to reset and regain perspective. Just be for a few minutes—you’ll thank yourself later.Step 2: Map Out Your Calendar
Grab your calendar and write down every single commitment—work, personal, social, and even the "not-so-fun" stuff. Now, here’s the big move: cancel THREE things. Yes, you heard me right—THREE! Let go of tasks or events that don’t truly matter and focus on what does. Prioritize YOU.Step 3: Block Time for Yourself
This one’s essential: carve out a few hours just for you—no agenda, no to-do list, just pure YOU. Whether it’s reading a book, taking a nap, or simply doing nothing, this time is non-negotiable for your well-being. And if you choose to spend that time wrapping presents or getting caught up – go for it!By making space for what truly matters, you’ll protect your energy and avoid that dreaded year-end burnout. Let’s simplify, streamline, and enjoy the season together.

Podsters, December is here, and it’s time to reflect before the new year rush begins. In this shorty episode, I’m sharing three powerful high-gain questions to help you focus on what truly matters so you can thrive in 2025.
Here are the three questions:

What or who brings me the most peace? What calms your soul and creates clarity?
These questions aren’t about quick answers; they’re about awareness. Reflecting on them now will help you naturally align with what brings you joy, peace, and authenticity.
Take a moment to pause and think deeply with me. Let’s set the tone for a fulfilling and intentional new year.

Podsters, let’s get real: ever notice how women leaders often get handed the wheel just as the ship is sinking? Every time we see a woman being tapped to lead during a crisis, it’s like, “She’s got this! She’ll turn it around!” But here’s the thing—are they set up to succeed or just positioned for scrutiny?
Today, we’re diving into the phenomenon of the “glass cliff.” Unlike the glass ceiling that keeps women from reaching leadership, the glass cliff is when women finally do get those top roles…but often in times of major crisis, where the odds are stacked against them. Think of Marissa Mayer at Yahoo, Linda Yaccarino at X, or even Kamala Harris navigating national chaos. These are smart, talented women—so why do they so often get handed a mess to clean up?
We’re unpacking why this happens and, most importantly, what you can do if you find yourself in a glass cliff situation. Here are three crucial questions to ask before taking on any role that feels a little too high-stakes:
What’s the realistic chance of success? Look at the resources, the timeline, and the state of the organization.
Why me? Are you being chosen because they believe in you, or because they’re hoping for a Hail Mary? Understanding the “why” can give you valuable insight.
What’s the personal impact if I don’t succeed? From your career trajectory to your mental health, weigh the risks and rewards for you—because this is about more than just your resume.
Remember to listen to that inner voice, too. If the role doesn’t feel right, trust yourself. Just because you’re offered a high-profile role doesn’t mean you have to take it, especially if it seems more like a setup than an opportunity.
So buckle up, Podsters! We’re digging into the glass cliff—how to spot it, navigate it, and protect yourself while still seizing the career you deserve.

Hey there, Podsters! With the holiday season gearing up, it’s that time of year when the to-do lists get longer than a CVS receipt. Goals, gatherings, gift wrapping, and maybe a touch of seasonal burnout - sound familiar?
So, what’s the antidote to all this chaos?A strategic pause. Nope, this isn’t about dropping everything and running off to an island (though that sounds amazing, right?). This is about intentionally stepping back, not to quit but to realign and regroup.
Think of it as a refresh button for your life and career. Like a solid eight hours of sleep for your ambitions, a strategic pause recharges you. It’s your chance to recalibrate, reconnect with your purpose, and figure out your next moves - minus the overwhelm.
Let’s talk strategy: My favorite way to do this is with a “love, hate, meh” list. Yup, it’s exactly what it sounds like. What lights you up about your work? What drains the life out of you? And what’s just… meh? This exercise cuts through the noise and gives you crystal-clear direction on what deserves your energy and what needs to be shown the door (or delegated, stat).
Athletes don’t build resilience by training nonstop; they do it through strategic recovery. And guess what? The same goes for us. Setting boundaries, protecting your mental headspace, and honoring downtime isn’t just self-care; it’s smart. And here’s a big one: revisit your “why.” Our motivations evolve—just like we do. What you wanted three years ago might not be your driver anymore, and that’s perfectly okay. Priorities shift, and so should your game plan.
So, if you’re caught in a hamster wheel of hustle, this is your sign to take a breather. Hit pause, refocus, and make sure you’re running toward what you love, not away from what exhausts you.Tell me, Podsters: When are you scheduling your strategic pause? Let’s chat, reset, and head into this season ready to thrive.

Today’s episode is very timely and very personal, Podsters.
I’m joined today by Cara Houser, a powerhouse advocate for prioritizing what matters and together we’re calling out burnout and digging into how we can take back control.
Forget the endless grind-this episode is all about making room for joy, setting boundaries that work for us, and, yes, taking a breather when life feels chaotic. We are unpacking the reality of balancing big ambitions with the need for self-care, especially when life’s a little chaotic.
Boundaries, life-work blending, self-possession: Cara’s practical wisdom shows us why taking care of ourselves isn’t just a luxury; it’s essential if we want to keep showing up as our best selves.
So here’s to blending, not balancing, and setting boundaries that work for us-not against us so we can say goodbye to burnout and hello to a more aligned, joyful life.

Should I stay or should I go?We’ve all been there Podsters, feeling like something's not quite right. Yet not sure if we’re having a rough day or if it’s time to make a big change. For me, this feeling is unsettling - kind of like driving the car when it starts making a strange noise. Uh-oh. Is this bad? Is it nothing? Should I turn up the radio and ignore? Should I take this seriously and pull over to check under the hood?As I said...very unsettling. This happens in our lives as well and here's the thing: If you’re not listening to your instincts, you’re missing out on some of the best advice you’ll ever get, from the person who knows you better than anyone - YOU.What if that gut feeling isn’t coming through loud and clear? Well then it's time to really listen to your loved ones. They know you well, and sometimes they see things about us that we can’t (or won’t) see ourselves. Years ago when I was working in a very toxic, unhealthy work environment, it was a comment from my step-son that got me to stop and truly think. If your warning light is going off, or you're hearing some knocking and pinging in your head; it's up to YOU to figure out if you should stick it out or start making moves. Here are three tell-tale signs that can help you to find the clarity you need:1️⃣ You’re Constantly Behind-Like, All. The. Time.2️⃣ You Feel Yourself Changing—and Not for the Better3️⃣ Someone You Trust Says, “Get Over It”Now that you know the signs, here’s what to do about it:1️⃣ Give Yourself Some Grace.2️⃣ Reevaluate Your Choices.3️⃣ Phone a Friend. When you realize it’s time to go, celebrate that awareness. Take a breath, give yourself grace, and remember you don’t need to rush into the next thing. Recognizing the need for change is the first step toward making it happen.

Podsters, today we’re talking about the perils of being "overly agreeable" (a.k.a. people-pleasing) in leadership.
We've all been there, right? That moment when you nod along in a meeting, even when your gut is screaming, "Seriously?!" It’s called being "overly agreeable" (a nicer way to say people-pleasing), and while it sounds harmless, it’s about as useful as a screen door on a submarine when it comes to stepping up as a leader. And this applies to everyone Podsters, whether you're running the show, climbing the ladder, or running your own business; bending over backward to keep everyone happy can cause more chaos than it cures.
Spoiler alert: it's not your job to be everyone's emotional support person.
So, what's a recovering people-pleaser to do? Here are three ways to kick the overly agreeable habit to the curb:
Keep It Real: Be Authentically You, Even When It’s Uncomfortable
Know who you are and the kind of leader you want to be—then stick to it like glitter on a craft project. Someone on your team sending late-night emails like they're auditioning for a role in "Burnout: The Musical"? That doesn't mean you need to chime in at 2 AM. You get to set the tone for your team and you don’t have to let someone else's chaos become your status quo.Business Isn't Personal (Unless We're Talking Coffee Choices)
Of course, you want a happy team - we all do! So let’s make sure you don’t let your quest for workplace harmony turn into a free pass for bad behavior. One of my clients made the mistake of being overly agreeable with a drama-inducing employee, which basically made the workplace a soap opera. The result? Delays, disarray, and a whole lot of "Why does this keep happening?" IT IS YOUR JOB to address the bad behavior, set clear expectations and then hold people accountable.Rip the Band-Aid Off: Address Issues Before They Get Weird
Yes, those tough conversations are about as fun as a root canal, but avoiding them is like letting a leak drip until you're knee-deep in water. One of my clients learned this the hard way by avoiding a tricky employee. She was worried that calling out the behavior wouldn’t seem "respectful." The result? She lost credibility and contributed to the chaos on her team. Respect isn't about making everyone feel warm and fuzzy—sometimes it's about having the confidence to say, "This isn't working, and we need to fix it."At the end of the day, leadership isn't about making everyone like you. It’s about creating a space where the work, and your team can thrive!

Hey, Podsters! Have you heard the expression, “Feedback is a gift”? Sure, sometimes feedback shows up at our door as a beautifully wrapped present, but other times... It's more like an unsolicited mystery package that leaves you scratching your head about the sender.
People love to give feedback—partners, clients, bosses, even random strangers. And while a lot of it is super helpful, let’s be real: not all feedback comes from a place of positive intent. So, how do you figure out which advice to embrace and which to toss straight into the metaphorical trash?
Today, we’re unpacking how to process feedback without letting it impact your mental health. The key? Understand where the feedback is coming from. First, assess the other person’s values, intent, and perspective. Are they offering insights to support your growth? Or are they projecting their stuff onto you? Because heads up, not all feedback is about you.
I’ll share some personal stories today—including one from my early leadership days that seriously shifted my career trajectory. Spoiler alert: I wasn’t always comfortable with not knowing all the answers, but one piece of advice helped me embrace the leader I am today.
It’s not about growing thicker skin. Nope. It’s about learning how to process feedback without giving it too much headspace. You’ve got to filter feedback as data points—some are valuable, and others are not so much.
So buckle up, Podsters! Let’s dive into how you can use feedback like a boss, stay true to yourself, and grow into the best version of yourself—without letting the noise slow you down.

Hey there, Podsters! Quick question for you: If doctors, pro athletes, and scientists use visualization to transform health, boost performance, and hit major goals, why aren’t we doing the same for our own lives? It's time to change that, Podsters and that’s exactly what we are going to do today.
Today, we’re talking about the magic of acting as if you've already achieved your goals. That’s right - and this isn’t just woo-woo —it’s backed by science. Whether it’s performance coaches with athletes or doctors guiding patients to better health, the data’s clear: When you act like you’re already living the life of your dreams, your subconscious gets on board and starts making moves in that direction.
So, how do you do it? First, get crystal clear on your goals. Don’t just say, “I want a better career” or “I want to be healthier.” Nope - we’re talking specific details here. Visualize what your day-to-day life looks like when you’ve hit that goal. What are you wearing? Who are you talking to? How are you feeling? Get all up in those details, and watch your brain start rewiring itself for success.
Why does this work? Simple: confirmation bias. When you start acting as if you’ve already got the job, the lifestyle, the whatever it is you’re after, your brain begins pulling in people, situations, and opportunities that match that belief. You stop waiting for life to happen and start living like it already has. Sounds like magic, but it's science.
Let’s say you’re switching careers. The moment you start “acting as if,” you’ll find yourself networking with new people, stumbling on the right job posts, and suddenly, that “impossible” leap doesn’t seem so far-fetched. The same goes for health, relationships, finances—you name it. Visualize, act as if, and your reality will start shifting to match.
So buckle up, Podsters, because today we’re diving into the game-changing mindset shift that turns “someday” into today. Get ready to stop dreaming and start doing by tapping into the power of ‘acting as if.’
Let’s do this!

Hey Podsters! Ready to level up your public speaking game? Whether it's the boardroom, a client presentation, or even a networking event, owning the room can make all the difference for you personally and professionally.
Today, we’re talking about how to leave a lasting impact—not just with what you say, but with how you make people feel.
Here are three game-changing tips to help you do just that.
Know the Room
I know, sounds basic, right? But this little detail is everything. Knowing the physical space can turn a good presentation into an unforgettable one. Check out the venue online ahead of time. Is it full of windows? You might need darker slides. Is the AV setup tricky? Get there early, do a sound check, and get familiar with where people will be sitting. Trust me, even something as small as a room layout change can throw you off your game if you’re not prepared. Pro tip: Let people know what to expect. If the room’s cold, remind folks to bring a sweater. Far from the elevator? Tell ‘em to wear comfy shoes. These small touches matter more than you think!Connect with the Room
And by "the room," I mean the people in it. Send out a quick questionnaire before the event—find out who they are, what they care about, or the kind of jargon they use. When you step on stage, start with a story. Whether it's a travel mishap, a funny experience, or something current, stories break the ice and make you memorable. People don’t remember bullet points—they remember feelings. So, make them feel connected from the jump.Engage with the Room
Interaction is key. Ask questions like, "How many of you have heard of this concept?" Raise your hand, nod—do something that gets people involved. If you see them drifting or scrolling through their phones, reel them back in with a phrase like, "I know we’re all busy, but what I’m about to say is really important." And if all else fails? Mix it up! Have them chat in groups or do something interactive. Keeping people engaged will make sure you—and your presentation—are unforgettable. So next time you step up to present, remember: Know the room. Connect with the room. Engage with the room.
These tips are tried and true, and I promise they’ll help you own any stage.
Until next time, go out there and own that room, Podsters!

This has been weighing on my mind so we are bringing it back and jumping back to episode #1 with debunking imposter syndrome. You are having a feeling, not a medical condition. Feelings are not facts. They are a temporary experience. A feeling. So now that we know this...what do we do?
In this episode, we talk about how to recognize, deal with, and prevent future feelings of being an imposter. Spoiler alert - men feel it too. The difference? They take action anyway.
Ready to move out of imposter feelings, here are the 3 R’s for success:
Remember – Remember that imposter syndrome is just a thought, not reality. It’s something many people feel, even the most successful. Don’t let it trick you into thinking you don’t belong.
Recall – When doubt creeps in, recall your wins, the skills you’ve built, and everything you’ve already achieved. You’ve done it before, and you can do it again.
Reframe – Reframe those negative thoughts into positive affirmations. Instead of “I’m not good enough,” tell yourself, “I bring something unique, and there’s room for me.”

It’s fall, Podsters! The chill in the morning air, the sweatshirts coming out of storage, leaves falling (yes, my lawn is covered in leaves) all mean one thing – summer is over. And as summer winds down, you might find yourself feeling a bit of that seasonal stress creeping in. You know what I mean… the shift from the laid-back vibe of summer to the busyness of fall can be a lot to handle.
Enter, September Scaries.
You’re not alone Podsters and guess what? This is the perfect time to level up in both your life and business, and this week’s episode will help you to do just that.
Today I’m sharing three key tips to help you smoothly transition into fall while keeping your momentum strong. Summer might have been all about relaxing and recharging, but as we move into the last quarter of the year, it’s time to get clear on what you really want to accomplish before the year wraps up.
Right now, is the best time for a re-focus. It’s like a second New Year!
With shorter days and a busier schedule, it’s easy to feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day so we have to curate our commitments.
How? By taking a strategic approach to your calendar. Before committing to new obligations, ask yourself, "Will I want to do this when the time comes?" With the summer freedom feeling it’s easier to say yes to more things, but as we roll into fall we have to manage our energy a little differently.
This means, really asking yourself what you want to commit to and leaving some room in your schedule.
What if you choose one day in your schedule where you don’t schedule anything at all and simply let things play out and happen for you!
Life happens, and it’s crucial to create space for those unexpected moments and for times when you just need to pause, play, and regroup. Having this space not only allows you to focus to move your life and business forward and leaves time for those unexpected delightful days of fun with your friends and family.
So, if you’re feeling that end-of-summer stress, Podsters, I got you. Together, we’ll turn those September Scaries into the fuel you need to thrive this fall and beyond.

You know when you meet someone and you know immediately that they’re going to be in your life?
An instant connection - - might be a lighting bolt and might be simply a KNOWING.
Well Posters, that’s what happened to me two years ago when I first heard Tiffany Carter speak on a podcast. She’s a highly successful entrepreneur, host of the #5 podcast for business, multi-millionaire business owner and all around beautiful human being.
She’s also my friend, my mentor and my business coach and today we are holding nothing back as we talk about everything: all of the peaks and valleys that come with managing your own success such as:
· Managing conflicting expectations and How I’m managing priorities
· About ME overcoming my OWN limiting beliefs
· What happens when you really go all in and get what it is you think you’ve wanted all along – and the rest of your mind needs to catch up.
· Next level success
· The reality of running for political office
· Really getting to the heart of what you want and the insidious way we hold ourselves back to stay comfortable.
· Toe dipping actions and tricking ourselves into believing you are taking high level actions
So buckle up, Podsters as nothing is off limits in this raw, real and hilarious episode that will help you open your mind to what is possible and how your big dreams might be the starting point.

Look around, Podsters - and look closely. Your environment (the people you hang with, the places you go, the information you take in, all of it) shapes your thoughts and beliefs. Your beliefs shape your behavior. And we all know – your behavior shapes your outcomes. So, I ask…
Who are you surrounding yourself with?
You know the saying, "your net worth is the average of the five people you spend the most time with"? Well, I'd take it a step further and say your value (which is your currency), is shaped by those same people. How you see and value yourself affects how others do, and if you're not hanging out with people who inspire you, challenge you, and are on the path you want to be on, professionally or personally, it's time to rethink your circle.
Podsters, it's true. You become what you surround yourself with. The people in your life, their energy, their mindset, ALL OF THIS has a massive impact on what you think, your beliefs and how you show up.
And eventually, you’ll start to reflect the ideas, thoughts, goals and opinions of those around you as well - so make sure these are people you admire, people whose qualities and successes you want to emulate.
Today, podsters I invite you to take a good hard look around; your friends, your colleagues, your family, your professional networks, how you spend your precious time and who you spend it with…. are these the people who will support you, believe in you and help you get where you want to go?
As we get ready for fall, and the “back to school” frenzy, it’s the perfect time to assess who you're spending time with on the playground of life.
Let’s unpack this in a real, practical way. No cheesy quotes or overused memes, just an honest look at how the company you keep can significantly impact your journey.
As summer winds down, let’s use these quiet moments to re-evaluate and ensure that we're surrounding ourselves with people who are lifting us up, pushing us forward, and helping us to achieve our goals.
If really want to level up, it's time to pay attention to who’s in your circle.

We're in the heart of summer, and distractions are everywhere, so staying focused and true to yourself professionally can be tough. Today, I'm sharing three steps to get yourself back on track when you're just not that into it.
First, know and leverage your peak productivity.
You know when you're most productive so schedule your most important work during that time. For example, I'm a morning person, so I tackle my big tasks early, and if those “distractions” are calling, I bang out what I need to do a little earlier so I can enjoy whatever it is that’s distracting me. Figure out your peak performance time and plan accordingly to maximize your efficiency.
Second, sweep your own porch.
This means taking care of yourself and knowing what you need to do to thrive. I keep a “thrive “list to remind me how simple it is to get back to ME. This list includes things like drinking water, getting some sun, or phoning a friend. Do what you need to feel good and set at the tone for your life (and your success).
Third, step out when you need to.
Sometimes, taking a break is the best way to reset. Whether it's a quick walk, a day off, or just some quiet time, honor your need for a breather. It's important to step away from your day to day so that you can and come back refreshed and ready.
So, there you have it, Podsters! Three steps to help you get back on track when you're just not feeling it.
Remember, it's okay to have off days. Give yourself some grace, lean into that feeling and use these tips to stay focused and also stay true to yourself.
Until next time, Podsters, peace out!

What's up, Podsters? Today, we’re peeling back the curtain TRUE self-confidence. I mean REALLY honoring your decisions, trusting your instincts and the difference between boundaries and simple decisions. In fact, we are adopting a powerful mantra for the week…are you ready?
"You don't get to decide how I react to you."
Partially inspired by recent conversations Samantha Parker and upcoming chat with Tiffany Carter, (spoiler alert… both confident and highly successful business women), I’m shining a light on how freeing it can be to not let others dictate our reactions OR undermine our decisions.
Pretty powerful.
Confidence grows with experience and true confidence is achieved when care less about other people’s opinions and more about our own values and decisions. It's about viewing external opinions as simply data points. For example, when someone thinks poorly of you, this is just a fact, not a real reflection of your worth. Or who you are.
Now, let’s talk about the magic phrase: ** "I'm comfortable with my decisions."**
These five words, when you truly believe them – help you to stand in the power of your decisions and your choices. This phrase will end ANY additional criticism, unsolicited opinions or debates and will instantly reaffirm your commitment to who you are. Remember – YOU get to decide how you react to what others are projecting, saying, how they are behaving and what they are doing.
Standing firm in your decisions and not allowing others to derail your own path is game changing.
I’d love to hear you practice saying "I'm comfortable with my decisions," and then notice the shift in your interactions.
It’s time to bet on yourself, Podsters. To truly stand in your confidence and stay firm in your decisions. And remember, you get to control how you react.
And until next time, peace out!
