We’re in season five! In today’s fast-paced world, the pressure to do everything quickly can be overwhelming. Congrats to Matthew Stafford! For not only winning the Super Bowl, but ultimately for proving that the Detroit Lions have been, and still are, unable to maximize the potential of their players. Don’t become someone that’s so afraid to fail, that you become someone that’s afraid to even try…Failure breeds character, quitting breeds losers #TSM💪🏾 -

Part two of my series “The Journey” focuses on how I became a prisoner of my own thoughts.
There was an experimental study conducted by a few college Universities to study the effects of placing monkeys in a cage. The monkeys became enemies and kept each other from leaving instead of helping each other. I spent YEARS trying to break myself free of this mentality, and it wasn’t until I surrounded myself with positivity that I realized how important it was to have a community of brothers.

This is the first installment of a new series I’m titling “THE JOURNEY.” The journey is where true character is revealed. Most people rave about the destination because it gives them a reason to keep striving. The journey actually encourages more people because it teaches us how to remain strong, even when the destination isn’t in sight.

How can you tell if the weight you’re carrying is strengthening you or hindering you? Physically, heavy weights can be a sign of endurance. Emotionally, a heavy heart can be a sign of burdens that we are not meant to carry. I’ve learned that God is willing to help me carry heavy weights whenever I’m willing to ask for it.

What happens when a boy is told to “man up,” without ever having a man in his life? What happens when a boy doesn’t know how to treat women respectfully, because he never saw a man treating his mother respectfully? How can we encourage those who grew up without a father (or father figure) in a society that has diminished the true essence of manhood? I brought my father back for another episode to discuss the importance of masculinity, NOT the way we define it, but the way God ordained it. #TSM💪🏾

During the current lockdown, I’ve had more than enough time to learn about investing. I’ve spent more time investing into myself, my craft, my business, and my ministry. I asked my brother to help me discuss effective ways of investing into ourselves. Please feel free to like, comment, share, and subscribe! #OTW #TSM💪🏾

Today, I was joined by Larry Smith jr (IG: @lsmithii), Calvin Carey jr (IG: @kinghearted_cal), and Kenneth Loney jr (IG: @_mrkenlo). We reflected on the impact of this quarantine, particularly in the black community, while offering our perspectives on how we as Men can continue to uphold our faith, morals, and responsibilities during a crisis. “The first unaccomplished goal of the day is hitting the snooze button to an alarm you set the night before.” Many of us use the snooze button to collect ourselves for a few additional minutes before beginning our day, but the encouragement is to prevent forming a “snoozing” pattern in your life: never accomplishing goals on time, but always saying you’ll get them done eventually. Make the best of the time you have during this quarantine. Your future self will be extremely grateful for the mindset you learn to possess today! -TSM💪🏾

Two questions were imposed today: What’s something you have, but wish you didn’t? And what’s something you don’t have, but wish you did? Accountability plays a huge factor in whether or not I can create a friendship with other men. I was joined today by three men who helped expound on the importance of honesty and transparency. Enjoy! -TSM 💪🏾 (w/ special guests LJ Smith, Calvin Carey, and Emmanuel Brooks) **DUE TO PRECAUTIONS SURROUNDING THE CORONAVIRUS, WE AIRED THIS EPISODE VIRTUALLY. THE SOUND MAY BE DISTORTED AT TIMES)

Today, I had a very in-depth discussion with my military brother and best friend, Matt Rajt. Our goals have always been similar, but our paths have always been different. Your upbringings, morals, principles, and values don’t make you any better or worse than anyone else. It just makes you different. A table of diversity only works if everyone at the table is willing to understand before being understood. When you can ask the right questions, it prevents you from assuming the wrong answers. Join us as we discuss the importance of diverse communication! -TSM💪🏾

Learning how to invest, is just as important as learning WHAT to invest. William Buffet once said “The best investment you can make is an investment in yourself. The more you learn, the more you’ll earn.” -TSM 💪🏾

Having a high expectation should be met with an even higher preparation. On today’s segment, I break down and discuss the three things I focus on while I’m expecting something great. 1. Watching my mouth 2. Preparing 3. Being around others who are expecting. God bless! -TSM 💪🏾
