Michael Thomas Gargiulo (born February 15, 1976)[1] is a convicted American serial killer[3] and rapist. He moved to Southern California in the 1990s and gained the nickname The Hollywood Ripper. He was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder and sentenced to death on July 16, 2021
Description of crimes
Gargiulo is a native of Glenview, Illinois, where he may have stabbed his neighbor, 18-year-old Tricia Pacaccio, to death on her backdoor step. Her body was found by her father the next morning on August 14, 1993.[5][6] Gargiulo moved to Los Angeles in 1998, allegedly to escape the scrutiny of police in Illinois,[7] and committed two murders and an attempted murder in Southern California between 2001 and 2008.
On February 21, 2001, he stabbed 22-year-old Ashley Ellerin 47 times to death in her home in Hollywood. Ellerin's injuries included a neck wound that nearly severed her head, and deep punctures to the chest, stomach, and back. Some of her wounds were up to six inches deep.[8] According to detective Tom Small, one stab wound "actually penetrated the skull and took out a chunk of skull like a puzzle piece."[8] On the night she was murdered, Ellerin had planned a date including dinner and drinks with actor Ashton Kutcher.[9]
On December 1, 2005, Gargiulo stabbed 32-year-old Maria Bruno, his neighbor, to death at her home in El Monte, California.[10] She was stabbed 17 times.[8]
Gargiulo attempted to murder another neighbor, 26-year-old Michelle Murphy, in her home in Santa Monica on April 28, 2008.[11] She fought off the attack, and blood matching Gargiulo's DNA was found at the scene.[12]
Arrest and prosecution
Gargiulo was arrested by the Santa Monica Police Department on June 6, 2008. On July 7, 2011, the Cook County State's Attorney charged Gargiulo with the first-degree murder of Tricia Pacaccio.[13] Although Gargiulo was charged in the two California murders as well as the Pacaccio murder in Illinois, police did not link him to any other murders.[5] Gargiulo allegedly told authorities in the Los Angeles County Jail that just because 10 women were killed — and his DNA was present — does not mean he murdered anyone, leading investigators to believe that there are more victims.[5]
Media in Los Angeles dubbed Gargiulo the "Hollywood Ripper" as well as the "Chiller Killer."[13][14] Gargiulo was held at Los Angeles County Jail while awaiting a capital murder trial.[15] A pre-trial hearing was held on June 9, 2017, in Los Angeles Superior Court with his trial scheduled to begin in October 2017.[16] After delays, his trial began on May 2, 2019.[9][17] In May 2019, actor Ashton Kutcher testified about the crimes

ANNOYING 20-Year-Old Girl Becomes Uncooperative After DWI Arrest a MUST listen!
Around 1:42 AM on November 5, 2021, officers from the Vernon Township Police Department were dispatched to the site of a possible disturbance on Steamboat Drive. When Police arrived, they noticed 20-year-old Gabriella Colon sitting in a locked 2011 BMW. Her boyfriend informed Patrolman Adam Kraus that Gabriella had been drinking, while she defied the officers’ instructions and threatened to drive away. Patrolman Mangano and Patrolman Rembish also arrived on scene. As a result of her behavior, officers had to threaten to break the window of her vehicle before she finally exited the BMW. While they suspected that Gabriella was intoxicated, they declined to perform field sobriety test because of possible safety concerns. Based on her uncooperative behavior and standard indicators of impairment, Gabriella was arrested for driving under the influence. She was transported to Vernon Township Police HQ, where she continued to act belligerent and uncooperative. She had to be physically restrained and she even attempted to game the breathalyzer test repeatedly. After Gabriella was processed and fingerprinted at police HQ, she was released to her boyfriend after he signed the Potential Liability Warning form on her behalf. She was issued the following summonses: Operating under the influence, reckless driving, refusal to submit to chemical test, and obstructing the administration of law. -

Bodycam footage shows an Illinois woman laughing and playing dumb after she killed two people in a deadly DUI crash on April 10, 2022. Stephanie Melgoza blew three times over the legal limit shortly after failing every other sobriety test performed by East Peoria officers. "This doesn't happen. I go to Bradley," the clearly intoxicated woman said referencing the private university she was set to graduate from in the coming weeks. “You’re pathetic,” an officer said to Melgoza in the hospital when she continued to joke around after learning the two victims died. Melgoza pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated DUI death and two counts of aggravated reckless driving before getting sentenced to 14 years in prison on Thursday.

Abraham Grajales was brought in for questioning in February 2017 for the sexual abuse of his two granddaughters. The abuse took place between the ages of four to 13 years old before the girls finally told their parents. Grajales faced multiple counts of abuse-related charges, but the case against him could not be proven because of no evidence or witnesses. Mother accused of killing children, putting them in oven FULL 911 CALL
The disturbing 911 call from a mother now accused of murdering her two small children was released by police on Wednesday.
Atlanta Police said Lamora Williams, 24, killed her two young children, Ja'Karter Penn, 1, and Ke-Yaunte Penn, 2, by placing them in an oven, but that’s not what she told dispatchers when she called 911.

“She just left my kids in the house when I came back from work, and my kids, two of my kids are dead. What do I… what do I… what do I got to do? They dead,” Williams told a dispatcher.
The call starts with Williams telling the dispatch she came home from work and discovered her two young sons dead. The call quickly turned graphic.

"When I came in, the stove was laying on my son, on my youngest son's head, and my other son was laid out on the floor with his brains laid out on the floor. I don't know what to do. I just came home from work," Williams was heard saying in the 911 call.
Williams first telling the dispatcher that her cousin was babysitting and left the children alone, but then in a bizarre twist, she asked the operator to assure her she will not be blamed for their deaths

"Can you please help me? Like. Can you please tell me, like, I don't want to get locked up because this is not my fault? I had just came [sic] home from work," Williams said.
But investigators said that is not what happened. The charges laid out in a warrant which stated the 24-year-old mother put Ja'Karter and Ke-Yaunte in the oven sometime between 11 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday.

"Both of my children are dead. Their head is burnt. Their... Their skull is laying under the floor. The stove... One of my babies is stuck, the stove is pulled over and everything," Williams told dispatchers.
At the same time Williams was making her 911 call, the boy's father, Jameel Penn, was also calling 911 from his workplace. He told a dispatcher Williams had just video chatted with him, showing him the dead bodies of his sons.

Penn: "She video called me and showed me this and I seen [sic] it."
Dispatcher: "What's the address?"
Penn: "And I really think they are really dead."
Another child, later identified by police as 3-year-old Jameel Penn Jr., was found unharmed by officers inside the apartment that day.

The Full Interrogation Of Michael Brett Kelly Without Commentary
In 2012, 18-year-old Brett Kelly of Macon, Georgia, was dating 38-year-old Tracy Jones. When Tracy hatched the plan to steal big bucks from the real-estate law firm she was employed at, she enlisted Kelly’s assistance, along with that of his 23-year-old step-sister Courtney’s. It was Kelly who brought 23-year-old Dozier on board as well. Their plan was to wire transfer the funds from the firm’s escrow account to their own and then split the spoils four-ways.
Tracy was a junior employee at the firm and thus, did not have the access to wire transfer funds without authorization from the upper management. This was not the same case with Gail Spencer, who had been with the firm for over 10 years and was the person in charge of handling wire transfers. Tracy needed to make the transfer through Gail’s access and she needed Gail to not be at work. That’s where Kelly and Dozier entered the scene. On the morning of October 5, 2012, Tracy knocked on Gail’s door and made up an excuse to use her bathroom. 58-year-old Gail trusted the co-worker she saw every day in the office and let her in. In turn, Tracy let in Kelly and Dozier who were there to hold Gail hostage in her home while Tracy went to the office to wire transfer the money.
Kelly was brandishing a pistol, once they were inside Gail’s home, and threatened Gail at gunpoint. According to his statement, Dozier had no idea that Kelly had brought a gun with him. The plan had been to let Gail go after the money had been successfully transferred. But at some point, Kelly raped and sodomized Gail and then killed her by suffocating her with a plastic trash bag. All the while, Dozier had been keeping watch in the next room, and according to his own statement, he had also tried to stop Kelly from murdering Gail. They both fled the scene later in the day.
The police found Gail dead in her home the next day when concerned neighbors called 911. A total amount of $1.4 million was stolen in five different transactions by Tracy. The first three transfers were to Courtney’s bank accounts and Courtney decided to run away with all of the approximately $800,000. Four days later, Tracy did another two transfers, bringing the total amount of stolen funds to $1.4 million. Within a week of the crime, all four criminals – Tracy, Courtney, Brett, and Dozier – were caught by the police, thanks to a timely tip-off.
They were both charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault, felony murder, malice murder, theft by taking, burglary, and false imprisonment. Only Brett Kelly was also charged with aggravated sodomy. While Kelly accepted his charges and pleaded guilty, earning a life sentence in prison without the possibility of parole, Dozier pleaded not guilty and went to trial in 2015. Dozier was also found guilty on all charges by the jury and was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole also. In June 2019, Dozier appealed the court’s decision but his appeal was reviewed and denied by the Supreme Court of Georgia. They both are still incarcerated in Georgia State Prison, where they will spend the rest of their lives. Tracy and Courtney got life imprisonment too, but Courtney has the possibility of parole. -

Jeff Pelo was a 17 year veteran of the Bloomington Police Department but he was more than that. He turned out to be a serial rapist, he broke into and terrorized 3 different women in Bloomington. He stalked them, checked their records, ran their plates to know where they were and finally to each of them broke into their house, bound them with duct tape, covered their heads with a pillow case and raped them. Afterwards he would make them bathe and clean up the house, including getting rid of the sheets. He knew how to cover his tracks because of all of his training as a police officer.
One night his third victim's dog was barking like crazy and because she had had a feeling she was being followed weeks before she didn't hesitate to call the police. Another officer arrived finding Jeff Pelo outside this woman's house. The officer was shocked and concerned at the sight of this brother in arms but did the proper thing and took him in. After being interrogated for a couple of hours and Jeff repeating his innocence they decided to do a voice matching. Jeff was told to read off of a script that included things that the attacker of the women had said but it wasn't the only thing the women recognized, it was his piercing blue eyes. One look at those and they knew.
Jeff was tried and found guilty of 35 counts of rape and stalking. He received one of the top sentences in Bloomington history of 440 years. He is now where he belongs. -
