As we wrap up this podcast series, we want to thank all who listened, signed the petition, or got involved. Femicide is not entertainment, it's an epidemic.
When we started this podcast, our goal was to have the federal government recognize "femicide" in the criminal code. We are proud to share that on December 9, 2025, the government tabled the Protecting Victims Act, officially incorporating "femicide" into the Criminal Code of Canada.
We know that even though this podcast is ending, femicides continue to happen, each woman's story as important as the next. We hope that you’ll continue to support the work of the Canadian Femicide Observatory for Justice and Accountability at FemicideinCanada.ca.For more ways to show your support, including education and volunteering, visit tootruecrime.com.

This episode discusses the murder of an Indigenous woman in Canada. We want to acknowledge that this death is not an isolated incident, but part of a larger, ongoing crisis.
We recognize the systemic injustices—including colonialism, racism, and inadequate institutional responses—that contribute to this crisis. We encourage listeners to learn more about the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) and to support the calls for justice outlined in its final report found here: www.mmiwg-ffada.caFor more ways to show your support, including education and volunteering, visit tootruecrime.com.
