Join us as we learn and grow from our weekly guests, finding beauty through open, connecting conversations on life’s transitions and shifts.
We are Lindsay and Shantil - two friends who love good conversation, connection, and expanding our view of the human experience. While going through our own life transitions, we began recognizing many extraordinary shifts in the ordinary lives of people around us. In awe of their ability to find beauty amidst challenge and change, we created this space to share these inspiring stories. Through this podcast, we hope to bring the concept Fred Roger’s loved and explained so well to life, ”Frankly, there isn’t anyone you couldn’t learn to love once you’ve heard their story.”
Follow along on Instagram @beautifulshifts_podcast and on Facebook where we share episode updates, photos of guests, video clips, and more.

I am the founder of the Healing From Emotional Abuse Philosophy, that is based on 11+ years of research and real life experience, having gone through it myself, which makes me different from everyone else. I have developed a three key process, that can take anybody who has been through any kind of emotional abuse, and pull them out of that. It’s based on 3 steps, what I call the 3 R’s.

The nature of royal weddings as very public declarations of love can cause us to reflect on love and partnership – and on 29th April 2011 when Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot, the royal couple took a vow that declared a commitment to love and cherish ‘til death do us part’. But what is ‘love’? What is it that makes us fall in love with someone and can we put a meaning on it? We’ve all experienced love, whether it is a friend, partner, family member, or a pet – but these are all very different kinds of love. So how do we define love when it encompasses such a variety of emotions? Carolyn Price, senior lecturer in Philosophy, and Timothy Chappell, director of the Ethics Centre, at The Open University, discuss the nature of love, from love as a function, to ‘the Doppelganger problem’ – should we also love another person with the same traits and qualities as the person we already love? Finally, the notion of love as a duty within marriage is explored.

As the divorce rate among older adults continues to soar, so does the number of adult children experiencing divorce. Yet - like us - they often feel overlooked and alone in their experience. Well...we are determined to change that.
We are two sisters trying our best to navigate our parents' recent separation. In our podcast “The Kids Are Not Alright”, we want to build a safe space and community for adult children of divorce (ACODs) who — like us — are struggling to make sense of our family’s new reality.
Subscribe and tune in as we have lighthearted, authentic, and vulnerable conversations about family, separation, and all the messy bits in between - with each other, researchers, therapists and other members of the “ACOD club”!

Aloha! Welcome to the Grief and Happiness podcast. My name is Emily Thiroux Threatt, and I am your host. I am the author of Loving and Living Your Way Through Grief, The Grief and Happiness Handbook, and creator of Grief and Happiness Cards: Gentle Support for Dealing with Grief and Finding Happiness
My purpose with the Grief and Happiness Podcast is to demonstrate to people who are dealing with grief and loss that they can grieve and be happy at the same time. The wide variety of guests address the myriad of issues that arise with loss and the spectrum of how grief and happiness relate. After a loved one dies, often people say they will never be happy again. By covering thought-provoking topics like creativity, compassion, community, purpose, inner peace, strength, coping, surrendering, and resilience with authors, speakers, coaches, and friends, listeners find inspiration and confidence guiding them on their grief journey. Each week the podcast showcases an interview with an inspiring guest and an additional brief podcast with a message of support and comfort.
Anyone dealing with grief or loss can come to the Grief and Happiness podcast to find comfort, support, love, and happiness. You are welcome here to learn ways to live your best life.
