In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about the power of using questions to influence people. Kelly has built her business career around asking great questions. It plays out throughout her life. John talks about using questions to influence people regarding embracing think it be it. As an example, sometimes he will ask a person how do you create success in your life. That’s a question they probably haven’t been asked before. And so after a minute or two of stumbling around looking for the right answer, it becomes apparent to both John and the person that they don’t really have a way of creating success in their life.
Then John asks the killer second question. How’s that working for you? John then politely and respectfully gives them the answer. It’s not working out as well as you would like because you’re just winging life. You don’t actually have a way of doing life. When someone asked John how he creates success, he has a pretty clear answer. Your daily actions determine your success in each area of your life. 95% of your daily actions are unconscious. Therefore I gain control over my unconscious daily actions by feeding the succinct articulation of my life to myself each day. That rewires my autopilot. And causes the right actions happen automatically without thinking. And I have a powerful force pulling myself forward to my desired life. John gives another example. Oftentimes he will say that the most significant thing he ever learned in his life is that 95% of a person’s daily actions are unconscious. And so he will ask the question to someone as to whether they believe that or not. More often than not, they say they do believe it.
Then the second killer question. So what are you doing about that? Do you see the profound implications of that? The Takeaway is using questions are profound. In the last half of the episode John and Kelly talk about this idea of deep thinking two times a week. A powerful technique that is part of the think it be it methodology. It’s a three-step process. The first step is just sit down and write in your thinking tablet anything that comes up for the first 10 minutes or so. Then the second step. Figure out a question to ask yourself. Usually regarding what your biggest challenge at the moment is. Then the third step is to recap what you learned and defined the action steps. John and Kelly discuss in the think it be it methodology this ongoing dance between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. The deep thinking technique two times a week is influencing the conscious mind. Then the daily reading of one’s visualization is impacting the subconscious mind.

John’s story is pretty amazing. After spending 20 years as an entrepreneur, John was 50 years old but wasn’t as successful as he thought he should be. To rectify that, he decided to find the “top book in the world” on SUCCESS and apply that book literally Word for Word to his life. That Book is Think & Grow Rich. The book says there’s a SECRET for success, but the author only gives you half the secret. John figured out the full secret and a 12 minute a day technique to apply it.
When John applied his 12 minute a day technique to his life, he saw his yearly income go to over $5 million a year, after 20 years of $200k - 300k per year. The 25 times increase happened because John LEVERAGED himself by applying science to his life.
His daily technique works because it focuses you ONLY on what moves the needle, triples your discipline, and consistently generates new business ideas every week. This happens because of 3 key aspects of the leveraging process.
John’s technique was profiled on the cover of Time Magazine. He teaches it at the University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business, which is one the TOP 5 business schools in the country. He is also the “mental coach” for the head athletic coaches

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about the most significant things they’ve learned this year. For Kelly, it was reaffirming her resilience. For John, it was learning the disc profile. Understanding that he is a D. He’s an action taker and does things fast and is focused on tasks. Whereas John’s precious wife Ginger is a C. She does things slow and is a perfectionist. Also focused on tasks. This has been powerful in John’s life to understand this because we all have a natural tendency to think that people who don’t see things the way that we see them are simply wrong or inferior. Not so. They’re just processing information differently. Appreciating this subtle difference is powerful.
And so the takeaway lesson is take the disc profile and understand the personality type you are and the personality type your spouse is. And understand your weaknesses so that you can compensate for them. During this podcast John also talks about the things he learned from his class at the University of Texas. So many interesting things. Most people didn’t realize they are WIRED FOR SURVIVAL. And the effect of that is that 75% of their thoughts are fear-based and they’re reactive rather than proactive on their important agenda.
The other big thing they learned is that 95% OF THEIR DAILY ACTIONS ARE UNCONSCIOUS. And one’s daily actions determine your success in each area of your life. And as John points out to them, the think it be it 12 minute a day technique is an actual way of doing life. And what could be a better way of doing life than applying the central concept of the top book in the world on success to your life. The bottom line, it gives you an edge in life.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about as we get older, we tend to become more enlightened. John gives two examples. A few years ago he noticed that the only time he ever really lost his temper was at technology. And he would get angry out loud. Then he stepped back from that and realized – what good does that do. It only made him more stressed. So he decided to change that. And he put that enlightenment in his daily visualization. Well immediately, that stopped. Because he trained his subconscious mind to not get angry out loud.
Another example John had is this. It’s in driving. Not long ago John became aware of the disc profile. And how there’s four different distinct personality types. Which one you are is a function of do you do things fast or do you do them slow. And whether you’re people oriented or task oriented. John is a D. He does things fast and is task oriented. As an example, his wife Ginger is a C. She basically a perfectionist. Does things slow and is task oriented. As all this relates to driving, John noticed that in the past he would get frustrated at people that were going slow. Especially if he was on a 2 Lane Rd. and he couldn’t pass them. Then from becoming more enlightened he’s like okay that person that’s going slow is just a different personality type than he is. They have a right to go slow just like John feels like he has a right to go fast. And he learned with regards to patients to see who has control and when he doesn’t have control, just lean into patience. He then put that in his visualization. And immediately he became a much more patient driver.
Kelly then mentions a great Mel Robbins podcast on communication. The essence of the podcast is what you say is who you are. You compress your personality into what you say. And during the podcast they talk about some great communication tips. As an example, if someone ever insult you, make them repeat it. Go, what did you say? Would you repeat that? You are delaying their gratification. Flipping it back on them. You take the fun out of the insult for them.
Another tip is if you ever have to give bad news. You want to say what you need to say immediately. Jump right in. Whatever you’re trying to craft the exact right words when you’re giving someone bad news, it’s agonizing for the other person. Don’t inch by inch it. Get right into the bad news. And tell them you’re being straight with them because you know they can handle the truth. Another tip is to have a standard way of answering how are you. And maybe pause before you answer. This conveys to the other person that you really are giving them a thoughtful answer. And of course using the think it be it methodology, you can easily incorporate these communication tips into your visualization so they show up automatically without thinking.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly explain that the mind thrives on order. And when you feed the succinct articulation of your life to yourself each day you create immense order in the mind. And as Kelly points out, it makes you feel lighter. It causes all those half thoughts that are going on in your head to either go away or become full thoughts. To drive home this idea that the mind thrives on order, John points out that’s why you enjoy music. A few years back, John learned how to play blues guitar. And in the process of doing so, he learned the timing in music. So in this podcast, he plays the song Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. Explains the timing and then counts it. This is a vivid example of how the mind thrives on order. To wrap things up, John makes a point of how one’s success in life as well as one’s enjoyment of life comes down to the thoughts that are going on in your head on an ongoing basis. So simple but many people don’t get this. But for the few that do, it’s life-changing. The think it be it methodology influences the creation of your thoughts.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly explain the think it be it methodology. They make the five core principles profoundly simple. It starts with what determines your success. It’s your daily actions. That’s it. The cumulative effect of your daily actions determine your success in each area of your life. Then the second principle. The significance of 95% of your daily actions being unconscious. If your daily actions determine your success, and 95% of your daily actions are unconscious, if you don’t gain control over those unconscious daily actions, you play the game life at 5% of your potential. It should be so obvious that your subconscious mind rules your life as well as how you feel about yourself.
Then the third principle. Conscious mind versus unconscious mind. Conscious mind sets the intention and is influenced by logic. Subconscious mind controls your everyday actions and ongoing thoughts. Influenced only by repetition. The classic example is losing weight. Conscious mind sets the intention to lose weight based on logic of the health benefits. But people often times fail to lose weight not from lack of intention. But rather from not influencing the part of them that controls their daily actions of exercising and controlling what they eat. The subconscious mind. The fourth principle is the impact of being wired for survival. It’s three things. 75% of your thoughts are fear-based, your reactive rather than proactive on your important agenda. And you're profoundly resistant to change. If you do nothing in your morning routine to override being wired for survival, you live your life fear-based and reactive.
The 12 minute a day morning routine overrides your innate programming. Instead of having an antiquated operating system gearing your life to be fear-based and reactive, let’s install the 21st century operating system the wires you to be productive, creative and happy. But you have to put in the software every day. Takes 12 minutes a day. Then the last concept. Your subconscious mind is either your greatest asset or your greatest nemesis. Since 95% of your daily thoughts and actions are unconscious, obviously if you gain control over that it’s your greatest asset. Alternatively, if you don’t and you allow yourself to continue being geared toward survival, meaning the vast majority of your thoughts are fear-based and your reactive rather than proactive on your important agenda. And you're highly resistant to change, it’s clearly your greatest nemesis.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, Kelly explains what she would tell the 20 year old version of herself regarding how to be successful. She starts out talking about the immense power of being a grower and a learner from a young age. Her dad turned her on to reading when she was 13 years old. And that’s where she got it. And it played a significant factor in her life. Approaching life from a curiosity standpoint and learning whatever she could. In seeking people with wisdom beyond her own wisdom. That has been the hallmark trait of Kelly Hatfield. The other advice she would give the 20-year-old version of herself is to understand how the human mind works. When John taught Kelly the think it be it methodology when she was 44 years old, it was life transforming.
The key thing she learned was that 95% of her daily thoughts and actions are unconscious. Once you really think about it and appreciate the profound implications, your life is never the same. John and Kelly talk about how lots of people understand this at a surface level. But do nothing about it. But those that really get it, and see its implications, are all about learning think it be it. During this episode John talks about the impact of the think it be it methodology has on one’s identity. He talks about how we are all created haphazardly. Things have happened in our life that were both good and bad that has created good traits and bad traits. And we were raised by our parents in a certain way. But virtually none of it was intentional.
Even how our parents raised us was largely unintentional. They just did the best they could. And how we were raised was certainly unintentional from our standpoint. We had nothing to do with it. That’s why it’s so cool to be able to re-create yourself with intention and clarity. Create the IDEAL YOU. Then when you create that in the CONSCIOUS MIND, you feed it every day to the subconscious mind through repetition. Then that identity is who you become. Because that’s when it impacts your thoughts and actions automatically without thinking.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John welcomes back Steve Prendergast as a guest on today show. It was Steve who came up with a line that your subconscious mind is either your greatest asset or your greatest challenge in life. John and Steve bat that idea around. And John points out that the fact that a person is wired for survival is the biggest thing a person has to overcome. And he makes the analogy using higher forms of life coming to earth. If there was a higher life form that came to our planet and observed our planet, they would observed that human beings are wired for survival. And therefore they are fear-based and reactive.
But in looking at modern society today, it looks like humans have a pretty cushy life. There’s nothing threatening their survival on a daily basis. They all want to be successful and happy. But being fear-based and reactive is exactly the opposite of how they need to be in order to be productive and happy. These enlightened aliens would likely say -well let’s just fix that and let’s go into their DNA and reprogram them. We learned how to do that light years ago. The Takeaway from that story is that you can wait for enlightened beings to come to earth and reprogram you or you can take the responsibility for reprogramming yourself for success right now.
John then goes on to make a key point. The methodology that he has created is an ACTUAL WAY OF DOING LIFE. NOT ANOTHER STRATEGY. But an actual way of doing life. It takes 12 minutes a day. And from what John can see in the success and human achievement field, nobody else is providing that. And from that way of doing life, which takes 12 minutes a day, you override being wired for survival. And you turn your subconscious mind from being your greatest nemesis into being your greatest asset. Giving yourself immense control over yourself.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John shares with the audience something he did with his class at the University of Texas. John had a student play the 20-year-old version of John Mitchell. And John played the current version. John then imparted lessons to the 20-year-old version of himself that would make his life way easier and way more successful earlier. And here’s the essence of what it came down to. WORK SMARTER. But most of us are ingrained to just work harder. Big mistake. But the natural question is how do you work smarter?
At the end of the day, it comes down to understanding HOW THE HUMAN MIND WORKS. And the linchpin issue is that 95% of a person’s daily thoughts and actions are unconscious. Once a person gets the PROFOUND RAMIFICATIONS of that, their life is never the same. The BIG DOMINO DROPS. And here’s why. Your success in life comes down to your DAILY ACTIONS. If 95% your daily actions are unconscious, if you are not gaining control over those unconscious daily actions you’re playing the game of life at 5% of your potential.
And here’s the other key thing that comes from that. YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND CONTROLS YOUR LIFE. It’s either your greatest asset or your greatest nemesis and challenge. Contemplate that for minute. Here’s why that’s the case. We are all innately WIRED FOR SURVIVAL. That causes 75% of our thoughts be fear-based and we’re reactive rather than proactive on our agenda. Therefore if you do nothing to override being wired for survival, you live life fear-based and reactive every day. It’s a horrible way to live. But if you take control of your subconscious mind, and feed the succinct articulation of your life yourself each day, it’s a whole new ballgame. You’ll now wired yourself for success, rather than being wired for survival.
So it’s your choice. Do you want your subconscious mind to be your biggest asset, or do you want it to be your greatest challenge that you have to fight every day. It’s up to you. Controlling your subconscious mind only takes 12 minutes a day.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly discuss why this 12 minute a day technique works. John opens the discussion by saying that it’s a combination of two things. It gives a person immense control over themselves. But that is coupled with intelligent success strategies. John points out that when he was in his 50s and was blessed to make 25 times the 200 – $300,000 a year he was making the prior 20 years, it was happening because of the immense control he had over himself. But it also included being able to implement key strategies. Such as being highly organized. Planning his day the night before and time blocking his days. Also setting aside time each week to deep think two times a week. Also being a conduit of learning. Where he had a system where he would listen to great content an entrepreneur needed. Such as marketing, employee empowerment, time efficiency.
He also focused only on what moves the needle. Of course all that was reinforced in his life GPS template. So it was a combination of knowing the right strategies to apply coupled with having immense control over himself that caused his income to go up so much. During this discussion John and Kelly talk about how most people are disappointed that their intentions oftentimes don’t turn into reality. That’s because they are only setting their intentions with their conscious mind. The subconscious mind is responsible for the doing. And since 95% of your daily thoughts and actions are unconscious, you have to influence the subconscious mind. Otherwise you play the game of life at 5% of your potential. John also talks about how the life GPS template has the maturity of a 50-year-old built into it. At the end of the show John and Kelly talk about your thoughts going on in your head most the time determined not only your success but your enjoyment of life.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John introduces a special guest. A man he met about a year ago that said he wanted to learn this think it be it 12 minute a day methodology. Listened to Steve Prendergast’s journey over the last 12 months. He shared that the big Domino for him was appreciating the profound impact that 95% of his daily thoughts and actions are unconscious. Once he grasped the profound nature that, the big Domino fell and everything going forward that he heard from John made sense.
Steve Prendergast also talks about the perspective of being in his mid-30s and learning this. John and Steve also talk about the impact of being wired for survival. And how that plays out with people. They also talk about the biggest challenge for people to embrace this methodology. Really it’s their resistance to change. And then finally John and Steve talk about Darren Hardy. The top expert in the world on success. Discussing his impact on the methodology and his opinion of the methodology. And then finally Steve shares with the audience how once you learn this methodology you can’t help but do anything else but teach it.

He is also the “mental coach” for the head athletic coaches at the University of Texas as well.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John explains the topic of today’s episode. Do you ever have the feeling that you’re “not good enough”? This question comes up from a speaker that presented to John’s class at the University of Texas. Many students came up afterwards to discuss the feeling of not good enough. And John realizes that’s a feeling many people probably have. The source of this is that we are all wired for survival. It causes 75% of our thoughts to be fear-based. And we’re reactive rather than proactive on our important agenda. That’s exactly why people feel like they’re not enough. You’re hardwired to feel like you’re not enough. Why would you feel any other way.
John and Kelly going to talk about how your morning routine has the potential to override being wired for survival. And wires you for success. Your morning routine has to do something to take control of your mindset. One of the big problems today is we live in a shallow culture. Driven by social media and the flip through nature of social media. Using the think it be it 12 minute a day methodology, from the conscious mind standpoint, it causes a person to have a deeper understanding of himself. From that conscious mind understanding a person logically sees that they are good enough. But the real key is the subconscious mind programming. When you feed every day that you are good enough and the reasons why, it overrides being wired for survival.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John explains the topic of today’s episode. Your spirituality – you can re-create who you are. John talks about his class at the University of Texas that he is currently teaching. He’s re-creating 36 lies with intention. As he pointed out to his class, who you are today is a function of good influences and bad influences. That’s created good attributes in yourself and some negative characteristics that you would want to change. But all that happened by happenstance. Very little of who you are today was created with intention and clarity. As John points out to his class, let’s start with a blank sheet of paper. Let’s create the ideal you. And then once we do that with the conscious mind, let’s feed it to the subconscious mind. So that that’s who you actually become. As reflected in your thoughts and actions. As John pointed out in this podcast, the same process would apply whether you’re 20 years old, 40 years old or 60 years old. So the power of this 12 minute a day methodology as your new morning routine allows you to impact your spirituality and literally re-create who you are. Affirming all the good things and eliminating the bad things. As John points out, this methodology is like crisper for the soul. In the podcast John talks about how this is all about proactively manipulating the subconscious mind. That’s what the top book in the world on success, Think and Grow Rich, is all about. John gives examples of how one proactively manipulates the subconscious mind. In this episode John also updates our listeners on the AI algorithm that he has that is used to customize his life GPS template to our listeners unique life. The newest addition is incorporating chatGPT at the suggestion of Tony Esposito. Now chat GPT is becoming part of the algorithm itself. As an example, using the algorithm you have to answer a series of questions. And those questions have word limits. If you go over the word limit, you can now bring chatGPT into it to give three versions of your answer that fits within the space limitations. And you can pick the answer you like the best. Big time saver. You can also use chatGPT to literally answer some the questions and see if you like the response. The big take away from this episode is that you can re-create your identity using this 12 minute a day methodology.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John explained the topic of today’s episode. The creation of your thoughts – you can influence it. And John presented an interesting concept. The thoughts that are going on in your head on an ongoing basis determine both your level of success as well as your enjoyment of life. No one denies that. But what’s interesting is you can influence your thoughts when they are created. Let me restate that. When they are created.
And here’s the opportunity. 95% of your daily thoughts and actions are unconscious. The fact that they are unconscious is actually the opportunity. Because if the opposite were true, and the majority of your thoughts were conscious, it be impossible to control your thoughts. But the key thing to appreciate is that since they are unconscious, that’s actually the opportunity. The vast majority of thoughts actually originate in the subconscious mind. And by properly programming the subconscious mind with the succinct articulation of your life each day, exactly what you want to accomplish and how you’re going to accomplish your goals, that’s the repetition that influences the subconscious mind. That’s what then causes the right thoughts to happen at their creation. Which then in turn causes the right actions to happen.
But the big take away from today’s episode is that you can influence the creation of your thoughts. The other big take away is that 98% of people don’t do anything to influence their subconscious mind. That’s exactly why so many people only use their conscious mind to set intentions. Then they are puzzled as to why those intentions never turn into reality. Well it’s because they’re not influencing the part of their brain that controls their actions. The subconscious mind. Therefore the needed actions don’t happen to turn those intentions into reality. All that is fixed with our 12 minute a day morning routine that influences your mindset. More specifically influences the creation of your thoughts in the mechanism that is generating your thoughts. The subconscious mind.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly explain what the full secret of the legendary book Think and Grow Rich actually is. As you may know, this legendary book that has been read by 150 million people, says there’s a secret for success. But the author only reveals half the secret. John was blessed to figure out the full secret and a 12 minute a day technique to apply it. It caused his income to go up by 25 times over the $200,000 – $300,000 a year he was making the prior 20 years. Also met his wife from doing this. The bottom line is this 12 minute day methodology gives a person immense control over their lives. Beyond what they’ve ever experienced before.
And here’s what the full secret is. What you envision in detail, with emotion, on a daily basis is what shows up in your life. What that means is you create immense clarity about your life. Exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you’re going to achieve your clearly defined goals. Then you put that clarity on a template. So that it succinct enough to read it or listen to it in 12 minutes a day. Also allows for the science of the subconscious mind to be properly applied. But once that clarity is on the template, you feed it to yourself every day. After approximately 21 days, the science kicks in and the magic happens. And what you’re feeding yourself starts to show up automatically without thinking in your thoughts and actions.
Once you begin doing this, three things happen. First, you feel immense CONTROL over your life. Of course you would, you’re feeding the succinct articulation of your life yourself each day. The second thing you feel is confidence. Which is a direct result of the control you feel. And the third thing you experience is the right actions and thoughts start happening automatically without thinking. In this podcast John goes on to say that a person’s way of doing life comes down to their morning routine. Everybody has a morning routine. But only 2% of people have a morning routine that impacts their mindset. And that’s significant because your success in life as well as your enjoyment in life comes down to the thoughts that are going on in your head on an ongoing basis.
So if you want to have a productive and happy life, you have to influence your mindset every morning in your morning routine. Otherwise you are innately wired for survival. Which causes you to live your life being fear-based and reactive. As John and Kelly dig deeper into this they talk about how feeding the succinct articulation of your life yourself each day profoundly impacts your identity. Who you are. It also impacts the filter for the brain. Your reticular activating system. It gives the filter for your brain immense clarity to bring into your life the things that you want. Essentially the law of attraction.

In this debut episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly explain the science of success. And more specifically the science of leveraging yourself. As you’ll learned in the episode, at 50 John Mitchell wasn’t as successful as he thought he should be. He had been an entrepreneur for 20 years, consistently earning $200,000 – $300,000 a year. But as materialistic as this sounds, John realized that to have The Exceptional Life he always dreamed of, he had to start netting over $1 million a year.
Additionally, he realized he needed a partner in life and had to find the woman of his dreams. But at 50, how to change things? Then a pearl of wisdom came to John. Find the top book in the world on SUCCESS and apply that book literally Word for Word to his life. John then discovered that there is one book that has been read by 150 million people. It’s the top book in the world on success by a factor of 10. That book is Think and Grow Rich.
So John rushes out to buy the book and then reads the book. Then he discovered the problem. The book says there’s a SECRET for success, but the author only reveals half of the secret. Ultimately John buckled down, read the book 20 times over a two month period of time, and figured out the full secret, the missing secret, and a 12 minute a day technique to apply it. Then he started applying it to a new business he started in the reverse mortgage business.
Suddenly his income started doubling and doubling and doubling. To the point where he was making 25 times the 200,000 – $300,000 a year he was making the prior 20 years. John had leveraged himself through science. He was playing the game of life at a higher level. He could do things he couldn’t do before. And he had a level of control over his life beyond what he’d ever experienced before. He became fascinated by the fact that you can take two key scientific principles and so materially impact one’s success and achievement in life.
John ultimately had enough money so he didn’t have to work. He was then asked by the former Chancellor and president at the University of Texas to teach this methodology at the school’s TOP 5 in the country business school. John then taught his 12 minute a day methodology to the athletic director at the University of Texas. Which led to becoming the mental coach for the 18 head coaches at the University of Texas. Along this journey John also taught his 12 minute a day methodology to Kelly Hatfield. Transformed her life as well. Doubled her income and impacted her quality of life big time. Reduced stress, impacted her health, and impacted her marriage.
John talks about how most people are just winging life. They don’t have an actual way of doing life. And therefore they can’t overcome the inherent problem we all face when we open our eyes each morning. We are innately wired for survival. Which causes 70% of our thoughts to be fear-based and we’re reactive rather than proactive on our important agenda. Consider your own morning routine. Are you doing anything to impact your mindset? If you are not, you’re just winging life. Because at the end of the day, the thoughts going on in your head on an ongoing basis to determine both your level of achievement as well as enjoyment of life.
John and Kelly talk about how this 12 minute a day methodology, which is applying the central concept of the top book the world on success to one’s life, gives a person a true superpower. A level of control over yourself beyond what you’ve ever experienced. Because the methodology involves feeding the succinct articulation of your life yourself each day. Exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you’re can achieve your clearly defined goals. Once you establish that clarity, you put it on the Think It Be It Life GPS template developed by John over 20 years. It allows a person to apply science to their lives to leverage...

We’re excited to announce the evolution of our podcast! Formerly known as "Think It, Be It," we’re now rebranding as "The Missing Secret Podcast." Curious about why we made the change and what’s coming next? Tune in to find out!
This week, we’re revisiting an insightful episode: Human Nature – We Are Not Wired for Success. In this episode John and Kelly talk about human nature. How humans are wired for survival, not for success. And that plays out regarding the negatives in human nature. We tend to be self focused, we tend to be reactive. As humans, we tend to be lazy. We tend to be unfocused. Easily distracted. That’s human nature. But there is some good to human nature. We have an innate desire to help other people. And John made an interesting point. That all the negatives regarding human nature are all related to being wired for survival. By being wired for survival, that’s what kept us alive 5000 years ago when there was a danger around every corner. It causes us to be fear-based and reactive. Which is exactly the opposite of how we want to be if we want to be productive creative and happy. During this podcast John and Kelly point out that you have to intentionally and proactively override human nature if you want to be successful. And you do that through the think it be it 12 minute day morning routine.

In this episode John and Kelly explain how to use our life GPS template after you have created it from our AI algorithm. Where after you answer about 50 questions, you press a button and our template is customized to your unique life. In this week’s episode, we explain actually how to use the life GPS template. Kelly mentions that she reads her visualization every morning and also listens to it. John explains that each morning he just listens to it. Right after he wakes up, he puts on his headphones and listens to his visualization in his own voice. Using a cool app called speechify. John talks about how powerful this is to just close his eyes and listen to his visualization. One day a week though, he reads his visualization. In order to stay connected to that. In this episode John and Kelly both talk about the huge impact it has to feed the succinct articulation of your life to yourself each day. John talks about how it allows him to have a great marriage. If his wife Ginger ever says something irritating, John focuses on just noticing his irritation. Before he speaks. What a game changer. During this podcast John and Kelly talk about the big picture of how success works. Your success is already in your head. You have to just mine the gold. And John shares a profound idea. Are you happy with the life you have created? At the end of the day, other people are not thinking about you. So all that matters is what you think about your own life. Are you happy with the level you’re playing at. Are you happy with the life you are creating?

In this episode, John and Kelly explain how to use our AI algorithm to customize our life GPS template to your unique life. They start out by recapping the science we learned last week. Kelly explains the reticular activating system. How it’s the filter for the brain. And how important it is to give clarity to that filter regarding what you want and how you going to get it. John then explains the human mind. The conscious mind versus the subconscious mind. The conscious mind sets your intentions and is influenced by logic. The subconscious mind controls your daily actions. It’s only influenced by repetition. John goes on to say that 95% of your daily actions are unconscious. The significance of that is that your daily actions determine your success in each area of your life. So if 95% of them are unconscious, if you’re not influencing those unconscious daily actions you’re playing the game of life it 5% of your potential. So after John and Kelly get us back up to speed on the science, then they explained the life GPS template. We are creating immense intention and clarity about your life. The secret of think and grow Rich is what you envision in detail, with emotion, on a daily basis is what shows up in your life. What that means is you define exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you can achieve your clearly defined goals. You put all that on a template. That’s what allows you to feed it to yourself and only take 12 minutes a day. The template also applies the science of the human mind. And then once you feed the succinct articulation of your life yourself each day, after 21 days the right actions start happening automatically without thinking. John goes on to say that the life GPS template is 20 years in development. Has included some of the wisdom of the top experts in the world of sport psychology. Then John and Kelly get into how to use the AI algorithm. All you have to do is answer 50 questions and then with the press of a button, your customized template is generated and downloaded to your computer. But keep in mind, you probably won’t knock out the 50 questions in one sitting. Take a few days to do that. John goes on to say that as an example, one of the things you are ask is what is your strategy for success in your career. Take 75 words to answer that. But it takes some thinking about it. Next week, once everyone has generated their template, we will show you how to use the template to change your life.

He is also the “mental coach” for the head athletic coaches at the University of Texas as well.

In this episode, John and Kelly talk about the fact that your success is already in your head. More specifically your success comes down to the relationship you have with yourself in your moments of solitude. When your head is on the pillow at night. John says that the most significant thing he ever learned in his life is this. That 95% of your daily actions are unconscious. Here’s why that’s significant. If your daily actions determine your success and 95% of them on are unconscious, then clearly your subconscious mind determines both your success in life as well as your enjoyment of life. So you have to gain control over your subconscious mind to have a better life for yourself. And the subconscious mind only response to repetition and that’s the power of feeding the succinct articulation of your life yourself each day. The thing that amazes John and Kelly is that so few people in the mindset and success business get this. That everything comes down to reprogramming the subconscious mind. Because when you don’t, your intentions never turn into actions. And to go even deeper on this John restates the topic today. Your success comes down to the relationship you have with yourself in your moments of solitude. And here’s why. Your actions determine your success. Your actions emanate from your thoughts. Your thoughts emanate from beliefs. So here’s the Takeaway. You’ve got the impact beliefs and thoughts because they determine your actions. That’s why you have to influence the subconscious mind and here’s how you do that. It’s a two-step process. First you create clarity about what you believe, what you want to accomplish and how you’re going to accomplish your specific goals. You’ve also got to determine any false beliefs you have and core wounds. All that is conscious mind. Then the critical second step. Rewire your subconscious by feeding the succinct articulation of your desired life to yourself each day. Takes 12 minutes a day. Then the right actions happen automatically and you have a powerful force pulling your life forward to your desired life. The new AI algorithm that John is creating to create that clarity and to customize our template is projected to be ready for testing in a couple weeks. So stay tuned.
