Why in the world did we ever want to be adults? ha
As kids we use to see adults and all the freedom they had to drive, go places, dates and drink and what not. The things we didn't realize as kids is the emotional and mental battles the adults were battling on the daily. Now here we are the new damn adults 30 overwhelmed and achy!
In this episode I talk about what it's like to be adulting for me and I know for a fact I'm not the only one!
But what I will say this journey has been crazy as hell for sure but a little fun too. I mean when it comes to freedom we wasn't wrong about that as kids that is the fun part! We just didn't realize all the other parts that come with being grown!
Please leave a review if you can it would be greatly appreciated!

In this episode I talk about the relationship between our gut health and our mental health. This is important stuff people need to hear and take heed to. I honestly believe as though bad eating habits are detrimental to the state of humanity. Luckily though, it seems more people are coming around to making healthy eating a lifestyle, even if they only, mainly do it for content purposes lol.Dr. Sebi Interview @ Romonas Roundtable: https://youtu.be/-HHUe8IZyks?si=cvm1udFVgmDPJmwGAbelardo Guerro Interview w/ @unwinewithtashak : https://youtu.be/-460vrYPCYg?si=94mJ3tiRkALsLQ3FAbelardo's book: https://www.amazon.com/Journey-Dr-Sebi-Abelardo-Guerrero/dp/1733053603APA reference article can be found on this website: https://www.apa.orgHarvard reference article: https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/nutritional-psychiatry-your-brain-on-food-201511168626Youtube visual: https://youtu.be/Em1h33VtiE0

In this podcast I talk about my end of the year (2023) evaluation. I just wanted to talk about a few things people can keep in mind as we wrap up the end of 2023 and encourage people to do an end of the year evaluation so that you can be mindful and intentional as we enter into the new year. If you're one of those people who are always looking to grow like myself it's important to really evaluate yourself at the end of the year so that you're not making the same mistakes year after year.

In this podcast I talk about where we focus our attention and how it affects us. Also something I forgot to mention in the recording is, finding other ways to focus your attention like working out, reading, listening to music without words, and/or podcast that contribute to your over all well being are ways to shift your attention to things that will benefit you in the long run.I reference a podcast that I listened to that inspired me to make this episode but, for the life of me I can't think of the name of it or find it. But I did get the name of the man that I quote several times through out. His name is Oren Jay Sofer, he is an author and also teaches Buddhist meditation, mindfulness, and more. I made this episode because as we approach the new year and set goals for ourself we should keep a few things in mind:
Change takes time and consistency. It's okay to fall short sometimes We are not in competition with anyone but the people we were the day before. Also trying to change a lot of things at once can be not only overwhelming but also discouraging. It's best to focus on one thing at a time I would suggest trying to focus on one thing at a time for a month and just add on as you continue to form new habits. Have some grace and take time with yourself.
-
Timing is everything when it comes to everything lol but seriously timing is so important when it comes to a lot of things like finding our life partner, making children, obtaining wealth and/or education, etc.
You're not blessed with certain things until the time is right. Sometimes the time is never right unfortunately but, that's usually for people who don't realize the importance of timing. When you can realize the importance of timing you're more patient when it comes to wanting certain things. Also you're more mindful of what you need to do to prepare yourself to be ready when the time is right.
Lets dive in!

We do not have it all together! What can you possibly expect from an adult who pretty much had to raise themselves? You really have to understand 9/10 these adults been through some traumatizing shit as children and young adults. Although, everyone needs to be held accountable for their actions, it's important to understand WHY one might have the personality traits that they do as a result of their up-bringing so that it can be taking to account when dealing with someone who suffers with these issues.
So many people in the world including people around you(stores you go to, work, schools, etc.), at least one of them will more than likely suffer with some sort of mental challenge. And what I mean by mental challenge, I mean at war with themselves because of anxiety, PTSD and/or depression.
To play your part in advocating for mental health, be sure to observe your loved ones and try to catch on to any patterns or signs before it too late. Give someone a compliment, try to smile more often.

I know it's a natural human reaction to want love and attention from a romantic partner so a lot of times we put a lot of energy into those types of relationships. The problem is we never put that same energy into the relationship we have with OURSELVES. It's important to know and love yourself before going into a relationship. When you're self aware and comfortable with yourself and love yourself, you will attract the type of partner you desire compared to dealing with a partner that you're settling with just because they give you time and attention.

The book I reference in this podcast is called Thrive by Arianna Huffington owner of the "HuffPost". Great read I would recommend everyone read it. But the focus of this podcast is important to me because we, including me, go through everyday on autopilot and sometimes we forget to stop and breathe and just be grateful for the small things. Another thing I touch on is passing more than money down to our children.

This podcast is mainly focused on Gen Z cause they're at a certain age where we can really see and understand how they act, but Gen Alpha is still young and growing so not sure about their outcome but, all that is going on in the world will continue to affect them both! And that's why it's important for us to be patient with them! Let's talk about it!

Like I always say I love to hear others point of view about things. So I brought on my good friend Jamar aka Buck who I have known for over 6 years. I've always known him to be a wholesome individual who handles his business and values life so he was the perfect man to interview because I view him as a real man. Take a listen!

I feel a lot of people struggle with pushing themselves to their full potential especially when they don't get the support they see other people get. I use to be one of those people. Until I decided I'm the one in control this is MY life and rather people support now or not I'm not going give up! And you shouldn't either! Stay strong stay focus!

Sorry for the late publication I got a little too busy yesterday!
This podcast is basically just about the importance of friendships. I feel a lot of women (not all) tend to hold their relationships to a higher standard than they do their friendships. I personally think it's just important if not more to value your friendships as well. Let's talk about it.

I feel most of us only think of crackheads when we hear the word addiction. But in reality most of us have unhealthy addictions as well. So let's talk about it!

As always I will revisit this topic in more depth. However, I think it's important we dive into this because I feel a lot of people need to hear this before they get into their next relationship and it may also be important to any current relationships. I hope to make this group conversation as well at some point to get others perspectives.

I feel like communication is not talked about enough. And I think that it’s something people don’t focus on when self reflecting if they even self reflect at all. And I say that because why is communication such a challenge for everyone?

This episode is basically just a glimpse in my mind! We fall down but we always get back up. Be open. Live in your truth! Trust in the high power.

Do you pay attention to why you are the way you are? Do you read yourself? Take some time to acknowledge why you think the way you do and where it stems from.
