To celebrate of International Women’s Day on the 8th March, The 101 Show were delighted to be joined by the formidable Hollie Pearne-Webb, current GB captain.
This year, the theme for IWD is ‘Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world’. Hollie epitomises what it means to lead in a Pandemic: to adapt not only to the restrictions placed on training, meetings and match protocols, but to lead a team through a year postponement to the Olympic Games, all whilst overcoming multiple toe surgeries herself.
ALSO Hollie recently completed her CIMA courses, achieving some of the highest marks in the country to become a full Chartered Accountant. MEANWHILE, Hollie is a huge advocate for social equality, women in sport, business, and sets an example of work ethic & passion to all.
AND that’s even before you mention Olympic Gold or maybe more impressively… her Strictly Come Dancing to ‘Edge of Glory’. Tune in at 5.15pm for all this and more.Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
