For many people around the globe—pro-Israel, anti-Israel, Jewish, non-Jewish—the 10/7 War is their first real awareness of the Israel-Gaza Conflict.
We are all being bombarded, day in & day out, with a surreal narrative wherein 97% of all articles about the war cite Hamas terrorist sources rather than those of the legitimate, democratic government of Israel.
Or should I say, the Jewish State?
Because, let’s be honest. This sickening and extremely detrimental bias is deeply antisemitic. People don’t want to say it. But it is.
Don’t believe me? How many times were ISIS, Taliban, or Al-Qaeda sources quoted in the War on Terror instead of the United States? I rest my case.
But this extraordinary prejudice is actually not a new phenomenon at all. In fact, Amotz Eyal founded The Press Service of Israel all the way back in 2010, because anti-Israel media agendas weren’t just already a problem, they were already a crisis.

Sagi Dovev is an international trainer and lecturer, as well as a resilience building consultant and trainer of wounded soldiers. He is also a former Israeli and European jiu-jitsu champion. Dovev served as the head trainer of elite units in the Israel Defense Forces. He retired from active service as a Major in December 2022 but continues to serve in the reserves. Since October 7, he has been assisting in the training & rehabilitation of wounded soldiers from his unit, many of whom are amputees. Alongside two other officers, Dovev co-founded a company specializing in resilience building workshops. Hours after the diabolical Hamas attacks on Israel, the morning of October 7, 2023, Retired Lieutenant Colonel, Jonathan Conricus reported as a civilian volunteer for reserve duty and was appointed as an IDF Reserve International Spokesperson.
After serving 24 years in the Israel Defense Forces, including four years as International Spokesperson from 2017-2021, he was just the right person for the job.
He remained in that distinguished position until the end of 2023 and in those grueling three months, he conducted a nonstop flurry of interviews, briefings, and events. On 10/7/23, the Western World was shocked and horrified by terror and brutality unleashed in the single largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. The parallels were undeniable and widely discussed.

What masquerades as a well-intentioned effort to promote co-existence and understanding within the great melting pot we call America, happens to have a very dark underbelly that not only excludes, but demonizes, one minority group.

CAMERA, the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis shouldn't have to exist. Neither should a whole slew of watchdog organizations whose 24/7 mission is to monitor the relentless anti-Israel bias that plagues the media.
Once upon a time, media objectivity was the standard. Newspapers and broadcasts did something absolutely unheard of today: they just reported the news. Not from the perspective of the left, not from the right. No agenda. And with only one goal: to inform the public of facts.

These days, every media outlet has an agenda. There is truly no such thing as unbiased reporting or journalistic integrity. And, sadly, one of the most pervasive and predominant narratives is the anti-Israel, anti-Zionist--and, by default, largely antisemitic--one.
