Thereās a saying about day trading: āDay trading is the hardest easy money youāll ever make.ā
The thing is, when it comes to trading, the shorter the time frame, the harder it is to become profitable.
If you place a trade and close it that same day, itās going to be very challenging for you as a new trader to make a profit from that trade.
If you place a trade that lasts longerāsay a few weeksāand then close it, it will be much easier for you to become profitable.
If you were new to skiing, you wouldnāt start on the hardest, most dangerous slopes.
You would start on the bunny hill.
The thing is, day trading can be lethal to new tradersā brokerage accounts.
Nothing drains their accounts faster.
Trades that last days or weeks will require a little more patience, itās trueābut this style of trading can absolutely change your life.

One of the biggest reasons people consider buying gold as an investment is its price appreciation. Gold has a 20 year average annual rate of return of 8.8%. Now this is only a few percentage points behind stocks over the same time frame.
You canāt argue that an almost 9% annual rate of return is bad. But thatās not the only benefit of buying gold.
Letās talk about some of my other favorite reasons to purchase this precious metal.

The value of the dollar used to be directly tied to gold, but that was done away with in the 1970s.
