Stephen and Richard answer questions about keto, organ meats such as liver, and BHBs. They discuss how to eat liver in moderation, the benefits of vitamin D testing and reference some scientific data about the carbs that are best eaten when bulking. Richard talks about recent self-experimentation results. Stephen explains how the community can help support the channel. Richard and Stephen impersonate each other and talk about their accents. They talk about how to set up local community meetups. Herbert shares a recommended magnesium supplement. Stephen talks about oxalate detox and how it can manifest in various ways. He also shares the dangers of oxalate overconsumption and why they promote an animal-based eating. There are many ways to improve insulin sensitivity, such as reducing carbohydrates and avoiding seed oils, exercising, and taking supplements like MCT oil. It's also important to avoid foods high in lectins. Inflammation can be caused by elevated insulin levels and ketones can help block an inflammatory pathway.

The main topic of the live conversation is the amount of protein that people with diabetes should consume, with a suggested rule of thumb of 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body mass. Richard Smith also adds that a low-carb or carnivore diet can help reverse diabetes, and while there are supplements that can help, living a healthy lifestyle is the most important factor. One story shared is of a man who saw improvement in his diabetes after taking exogenous ketones, which increase insulin sensitivity.

Dr. Robert Kiltz is a physician who promotes eating fatty meat for overall health and wellness. He believes that eating this way can help improve fertility and he encourages people to share their success stories on social media. When asked about the dangers of hormones in dairy, he states that it is not a big concern compared to the hormones found in plants. He also mentions that inflammation caused by plant sugars and chemicals can damage cells and affect fertility. Richard and Stephen emphasize how ancient humans were omnivorous with their protein sources predominantly from animals and hunting, not plants. Modern doctors and dieticians give misguided advice as they don't know man's true evolution. People lack macro-nutrients and focus on micro-nutrients too much. Dr. Kiltz stresses that fat is essential for one's body and should be prioritized in a diet, as nature provides protein and fat in perfectly packaged proportions. He also challenges the idea that obesity is a disease, stating that it is a natural state that is only harmful if paired with a low-fat diet that inflames the body's cells.

A question is asked about whether eating organ meats provides benefits for our own organs. Richard and Stephen discuss the benefits of organ meats, including high levels of vitamins and minerals that can benefit specific organs. However, they also note that while it may be beneficial to consume organ meats occasionally, it is not necessary to do so every day.

Richard and Steve discuss the importance of organ meats in the carnivore diet and how they can provide essential vitamins and minerals. They recommend eating a carnivore / keto diet that includes high-quality, nutrient-dense foods, and suggest mixing organ meats in with other meats. Then the hosts discuss the upcoming carnivore conference, where they will be speaking, and the benefits of splitting training sessions throughout the day. One listener asks about "micro workouts," where you do short bursts of exercise throughout the day, and the hosts discuss the potential benefits and drawbacks. They also mention a bodybuilder who only trains once every eight days. They also touch on the role of electrolytes and how too much potassium can contribute to muscle tightening. They share a few trivia facts, including the high energy demands of the brain and the potential for the human body to heal. They also mention an upcoming webinar on longevity with special guest doctor Abs.

This is my latest interview with Doctor Shawn Baker, an advocate of the carnivore diet. Shawn discusses the health benefits of eating a carnivore diet, including improved body composition, mood, and digestive health. He also addresses concerns about getting necessary nutrients and agrees that more research is needed. He mentions that Elon Musk may be trying out the carnivore diet. Baker also talks about a new healthcare model he is working on and the need for healthcare reform. The interview ends with a discussion about the environmental impact of pharmaceutical companies.

We discuss myths such as the chance of getting scurvy with this lifestyle. Shawn states “I've never seen anyone with a verified, bona fide case of scurvy.” Dr Baker believes that obesity and type 2 diabetes are largely caused by diet and lifestyle, and that medication and surgery should be a last resort. He also questions the current theories about the cause of heart disease, pointing out that over 50% of people with very high levels of LDL (so-called "bad" cholesterol) do not develop heart disease. He also expresses concern about the side effects of a popular type 2 diabetes medication, Ozempic, including muscle and facial fat loss.

Richard and Stephen discuss a listener's question about HCL and pepsin supplements, as well as another question about a product for Meniere's disease. They also address a question about women losing their cycle on a carnivore diet and fasting, and explain the importance of feeding the body nutrients regularly instead of forcing prolonged periods of fasting. They suggest that proteins and fats are key for hormone production and regulation. Both Stephen and Richard discuss the best way to interpret blood test results, especially for those following a carnivore diet. They talked about the importance of looking at the context of the results and not just relying on standard ranges. They also discussed how TSH levels can be misleading and the need to consider clinical experience in addition to evidence-based studies. They touched on the importance of direct measurements for metrics like EGFR and LDL.

In a live stream, someone asked about a comment made by Jake Thomas about not relying on hip thrusts for glute building. The hosts discussed their opinions on the exercise and invited Jake to come on and explain his statement. They also discussed how not to interpret specific blood tests, using an example of liver enzymes and how they can be affected by factors other than liver damage. They also mentioned that looking at patterns and multiple metrics is important in understanding blood test results.

Richard and Stephen discuss various questions about issues some people may have when following a carnivorous diet. One question addresses whether or not it is okay to consume protein and fat immediately after working out, or if it is better to wait until later in the day. Richard explains that waiting a few hours after working out allows for multiple mTOR responses, which are important for muscle growth. They also discuss the importance of balancing AMPK and mTOR responses. Another question asks about whether there are any health: A question was asked about whether eating red meat can increase the growth of polyps in the colon. The answer was no, as red meat is not inflammatory and can even have anti-inflammatory effects. Other factors, such as processed foods, can contribute to inflammation. Another question was about how to maintain or gain weight on a carnivore diet. The answer suggested being intuitive with eating and not worrying about calorie intake. Advice was also given on incorporating resistance training and adjusting protein and fat intake to achieve.
A low-carb, high-fat carnivore diet may help with weight loss, but everyone is different and may need different amounts of food to maintain their weight. The specific types of food, such as chicken, eggs, and pork, may not be harmful unless they are oxidized. High triglycerides may not necessarily be a problem, and factors such as reducing carbohydrate intake, increasing fish consumption, and overall good health should be taken into consideration when looking at triglyceride levels.

They also promote the upcoming Carnivore Conference and provide information about their personal coaching services. In response to a question about the benefits of marrow fat, it has been found that it is a good source of energy and has an endocrine function. It also contains stem cells and is good for bone and cartilage health. Calcium is essential for the body and can be found in all meats, so there is no need to prioritize it in the diet. However, excessive amounts of calcium could potentially be dangerous. In this podcast, Stephen and Richard discuss common questions and concerns about carnivore eating, such as what foods to eat, how to handle weight gain or weight loss on the diet, and how the body may go through a healing process when transitioning to carnivore. They also answer questions about specific health issues, such as colon polyps and low triglyceride levels, and offer advice on how to maintain weight on a carnivore diet.

Ferritin is a protein that stores iron in the body. A high ferritin level can be caused by inflammation or infection, not just high iron intake. The poster should get a more complete iron test panel to understand their levels. Reverse dieting is more important for carb-based bodybuilders, as they restrict their diets for competitions. There are many reasons for anemia, not just low iron, but symptoms and appearance are important too, so more info from the poster would be useful. As Stephen and Richard discuss the importance of potassium in the diet and how it is often overlooked in modern

The podcast discusses several health topics including migraines, the vagus nerve, and salt consumption. The panel talk about the link between migraines and a variety of factors such as lack of sleep, stress, and certain foods. They also discuss the importance of omega-3 fatty acids and how vegetable oils can affect the body's ability to produce vitamin D, leading to sunburns. The podcast concludes with a discussion on the benefits of Celtic Sea salt over Pink Himalayan salt. Ben and Richard talk about the upcoming Carnivore Conference and how they got into the carnivore lifestyle. They discuss migraines and how a ketogenic, carnivore diet may help reduce them. Richard shares his personal experience with migraines and their potential causes. They also mention some other contributing factors such as grains, calcium and magnesium imbalances, and the benefits of beta hydroxybutyrate in reducing neuroinflammation.

Eating plant-based food and taking sun supplements are not enough to keep adequate vitamin D levels. UVB rays interact with our skin and cholesterol to produce vitamin D, which acts as a sunscreen and hormone in our body. Eating meat has been shown to have a positive impact on telomeres, the protective caps at the ends of our DNA strands. Come join us at the Carnivore Conference to learn more about health and nutrition!

Phil Escott, Coach Stephen and Thomas and Richard Smith answer questions about sleep, micronutrients, and other health topics. Phil discusses his experiences with fasting, the benefits of low-carb diets, and how his diet has changed over time. They also touch on mental health and the importance of light exposure for sleep. Finally, Richard explains the process of fat metabolism on a cellular level.
They discuss how fat is broken down into its components and metabolized in the body. The process starts with the breakdown of triglycerides into fatty acids and glycerol, which are then transported to the liver. In the liver, long-chain fatty acids are broken down into acetyl-CoA, which enters the citric acid cycle to produce energy. Some of the acetyl-CoA is also used for gluconeogenesis, the production of glucose in reverse. If you're gaining weight on carnivore, it may be because of stress and emotional eating, eating in large portions, or not eating enough fat or the right types of food. It's important to find a balance and experiment with different meal frequencies to see what works best for you. Also, obesity can be an outcome of nutritional deficiencies, so sticking to a carnivore diet that is high in protein and healthy fats can help prevent hunger and improve your overall health.

This is a recording of a Keto School live session where Richard and Stephen discuss various topics related to the ketogenic and carnivore diet. They talk about ketogenic supplements, different types of fat, cholesterol, and how to raise HDL levels. They also answer questions from listeners about dry fasting, magnesium and calcium ratios, and the benefits of a keto diet for people with neuromuscular diseases. They also touch on the topic of dairy and when it should be limited in a ketogenic diet. The question is about when to take MCT ketones for athletic performance. The answer is that you can take them about 20 minutes before exercise, but for longer events like a marathon, you may want to take them an hour or so before to allow excess fluid to pass through the system. MCT will not break a fast and can actually enhance it. The answerer also shares their personal story of how they got into bodybuilding and then transitioned to running and cycling.

Britt is an advocate of a whole-foods based, high protein diet, which she describes as a "higher protein, low carb, keto carnivore" diet. She believes that this type of diet can help women with conditions such as PCOS and osteoporosis, due to its ability to regulate insulin levels. She also encourages women to focus on building muscle through strength training. Britt talks about how she struggled with weight gain and hypothyroidism, as well as her journey to discovering and embracing this new way of eating. She also discusses the importance of strength training, especially for women, and overcoming the fear of "bulking up." Britt offers her coaching services and runs a support group for women looking to improve their health and lose weight.
In the interview Britt discusses her journey into becoming carnivore. She initially started out as low carb, after being diagnosed with PCOS and struggling with her weight. She then tried the whole 30, paleo, and finally found success with ketogenic and low carb. After discovering carnivore, she experienced even more benefits, such as improved mental health and a complete reversal of her PCOS symptoms. She has now lost 90 pounds and her body has transformed.

Lee is sometimes known as "the poop guy" because of his successful experience with the carnivore diet. He struggled with depression and was eventually diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2012. Despite taking medications and following recommended dietary advice, his condition worsened, and he ended up having surgery to remove his colon in 2014. The surgery left him feeling depressed and isolated. After hearing about the benefits of the carnivore diet from Michaela Peterson, Lee decided to give it a try. Lee shares his experience dealing with Crohn's disease for over a decade. He talks about the initial misdiagnosis and how he was put on multiple medications that only suppressed his symptoms. He also talks about the lack of guidance or advice given by doctors on diet and lifestyle. He credits his recovery to the carnivore diet which he has been following for the past two years. He also talks about his recent surgery and how his recovery was much faster due to his strict diet. He explains how his health deteriorated while he was on a plant-based diet and how he discovered the benefits of a meat-based, carnivorous lifestyle. He also shares how he can now see undigested plant materials in his stool and how they caused him discomfort and health issues. Some people may raise concerns about feeding their kids an all-carnivore diet, but there is evidence that humans have been eating predominantly animal protein for thousands of years and that this is a healthy and nutrient-dense way to eat. Others may feel jealous that they didn't discover this lifestyle earlier in their own lives and wish they could have fed their children this way from the start. It's important to give children the choice and educate them about real nutrition.

This is the first 30-minute section of our 24 hour livestream. To recap: The Ketogenic diet (of which carnivore is a subset) is normally described as a high-fat, moderate-protein, and low-carbohydrate diet that typically results in weight loss due to the body entering a state of ketosis, where it burns fat for energy instead of glucose. However, weight gain can occur if you are consuming too much fat, overeating, or not following the diet properly. Each person's body has different needs and some may need a higher intake of certain macros, such as protein, to achieve their desired results. Richard addresses a question about struggling with sleep on the carnivore diet, suggesting that it could be due to adaptation processes, hypoglycemia, or electrolyte imbalances. He also mentions that tryptophan is activated when consuming sugar or carbohydrates, and that potential solutions could include having a small insulin response before bed or looking into zinc and choline supplements. Host Stephen agrees, adding that testosterone levels may vary for individuals and it's important to consider symptoms and not just “normal” blood ranges. Removing coffee from their diets has helped both hosts see a decrease in aches and pains in their joints.

In this interview I talk to Robin, a woman who lost over 100lbs on a carnivore diet. Robin talks about her journey, the reactions from family and friends, and how she now offers counseling for emotional eating. She also discusses her experience with her doctor, who advised her to eat vegetables or take medication for her cholesterol. She plans to take a test to measure her arterial health, and she believes that what we eat can have a major impact on not only physical health, but also mental health.
Robin talks about her experience with the carnivore diet and how it has helped her mental health and weight loss. She explains that she suffered from anxiety and had gained weight, but after starting a carnivore diet she has seen improvements in both areas. She also talks about her struggles with cravings and how she overcomes them. She plans to continue with the diet and hopes to share her story to help others. Robin is a busy mother and grandmother who has lost 100lbs doing the Beef, Butter, Bacon, and Eggs (BBBE) challenge created by Dr. Ken Berry. Robin was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2023, and her family has a long history of diabetes. After her diagnosis, she joined the Steak and Butter Gang and has since lost 102 lbs by also doing intermittent fasting and making other lifestyle changes. She is hoping to spread the word about the benefits of the carnivore

As a health and longevity specialist, Doctor ABS was curious about how to improve his cells' functioning to prolong his life and maintain great levels of fitness. It was the work of Western A Price that inspired him to try the carnivore diet. He feeds others' knowledge through his profession and YouTube live streams. Dr. Abs is a medical doctor and in tis podcast he discusses many things including the benefits of taking vitamin K2 with vitamin D3 as it can ensure that calcium grows in the right places in the body. He explains that K2 can allow calcium to grow like crystals in bones, while preventing it from doing so in other tissues. Dr. Abs also shares how he used amino acids in specific ratios to generate collagen in the face, resulting in a natural facelift without Botox. He also goes over how Cholesterol has been unfairly blamed for heart disease and other health issues. It is essential for our body and is sent to repair damage in the body, not cause it. Our daily life choices and health conditions are the real culprits, not cholesterol.
Reference ranges for blood tests are not set for people following a healthy lifestyle, so it is important to not focus on one marker, like cholesterol, but rather look at overall health markers. Other areas of discussion include:
The media often sensationalizes health information for profit.
There are no hard rules as to how much salt or electrolytes to consume on a carnivore diet as it varies from person to person. However, it is important to make sure you're getting enough electrolytes and salt in your diet, especially if you experience cramping.
Some tips for getting enough electrolytes include using electrolyte blends, salting your food, and trying emergency methods like drinking pickle juice! Dr Ab

There are several possible reasons why someone might have low iron levels despite eating a lot of meat:

    · their menstrual cycle

    · consuming calcium-rich foods

    · GI issues

    · a low-level infection,

    · or donating blood regularly.

Other topics. Eating leftover meat cold can be beneficial for digestion and absorption of vitamins and minerals. Making bone broth at home is a good source of collagen, but it can contribute to histamine intolerance in some people. Sally K Norton warns against consuming collagen because it can cause allergic responses or sensitivities.

These are some questions that have come up during the group coaching session with Gemma, Kym, and Richard. Questions about the difference between decaffeinated and regular coffee, the role of stevia and sucralose in a carnivore diet, the benefits and risks of certain supplements, and concerns about muscle cramping and leg pain. The group offers suggestions and advice for each question, emphasizing the importance of individual experimentation and finding what works for each person's unique needs. Some questions were asked about whether taking the Keto Pro Collagen before bed would affect sleep. The answer was no, as it is converted into energy on demand and won't keep you awake. Another question asked if it was okay to take MCT and collagen powder. It was answered that it is not cheating and MCT is a type of fat that helps with energy and collagen powder can be taken before bed as long as it is not taken too close to other proteins.ance continues the Live one-hour, with a live chat. Richard explains about organ meats being full of nutrients, and how he used to stock certain supplements but now he focuses on eating organ meat
