  • This week's conversation is with Dr Lucy Woodall, Extreme E's Ocean's advisor.

A Marine Biologist, Lucy was very involved with the recent Ocean Xprix in Senegal and why projects focussed on marine health were important in Extreme Es calendar of events.

Speaking about the incredible, positive impacts of our oceans for our planet's health and the startling insight into our impact as humans on the oceans was fascinating.

For example, who would have thought that the trash we have thrown away, can be found as far away, in deep sea beds in the Antarctic?

Listen to find out about Lucy’s focus on local communities in affected areas and their insight into the solutions to climate change and how this is being applied with Extreme E's projects.

  • This week, Tris talks to Izy Rekiel, Extreme E’s Impact Correspondent.

Living aboard the St. Helena, Izy takes us aboard the ship and tells us how the sustainable mission of Extreme E is present throughout the ‘lifeline’ for the series.

Izy’s journey to Extreme E is a great story as are those already collected while visiting Saudi Arabia and Senegal, where, as Izy reports - it is much more than just the environmental projects that bring support to the locations visited.

A big thank you to Izy for her fantastic insight and sharing her stories!

  • In this week's episode, Tris talks with Johann Wacht, the Motorsport Manager at BComp.

BComp is a fascinating company with its origins in winter sports, who are fast making their flax fibre based solutions the go-to choice, for racing organisations who want to reduce their climate footprint while still retaining the benefits of carbon fibre.

In this conversation with Johann, we discover the origins of the company and their bodykit project with Extreme E to cover the Odyssey 21 in their 'powerRibs' and 'ampliTex' technologies.

A huge thank you to Johann and BComp for this conversation, you can find more on BComp here (and sign up to Johann's not to miss webinar, before the 23rd June 2021): https://www.bcomp.ch/news/?tag=motorsports-bodywork

  • The Extreme E teams landed in Senegal and put on some show around Lac Rose, Dakar.

In this episode, Jess and Tris look at all the racing action, the electric vehicle market in the USA and the impact in West Africa, of an event like this being held in Senegal.

The climate change focus and legacy projects are looked at in the context of the partners brought on board for the Ocean XPrix and the impact of these – it’s a full look at only the second race of the Extreme E championship!

A special thank you to our guests for this episode, Caitlin McMillan, David Orr and Emmanuel Alie Mansaray.

***Do not adjust your sets! A heavy rainstorm landed towards the end of the podcast (it is rainy season here in Cote D’Ivoire), it may sound like light static but it’s not you, it’s us… Good for the garden though.

  • A podcast about Extreme E, the new electric off-road racing series, built around sustainability.

In this first episode, Jess and Tris look back at the Desert XPrix in AlUla, Saudi Arabia held. We look back at the new format of racing held in the unforgiving, car breaking and crash making terrain of AlUla on the 3rd and 4th April.

Discussing why Saudi Arabia? The climate impacts and legacy projects being seen, the Odyssey 21 and how the purpose of Extreme E is pushing forward gender equality beyond the racing drivers - it's all covered.

We take an in-depth look at the business and fan engagement of Extreme E's first outing with Blackbook's Executive Director, Peter Jones, who has some great insight to share.
