In this episode Audrey and Tinashe, discuss the 2022 Netflix adaptation of Jane Austen's “Persuasion”. The girls had a lot to say about this latest offering of Jane's work, including (but not limited to); the cringeworthy modernisation, the shocking lack of romantic anything! and the constant looking to camera (we get it!). There is also a lot of comparisons to the masterpieces that are the 1995 & 2007 adaptations (the girls are divided about which Wentworth makes them swoon). But all-in-all the girls have a lot of fun nitpicking away at this adaptation.
P.S. Don't mind any descriptions by Audrey about Wentworth's "look" (Audrey was just a little too passionate). And Tinashe as always seems more forgiving than her co-host (Bless her kind heart!). Enjoy and check out Part 2!

In this episode, Audrey and Tinashe, try to make sense of this movie and why it did not live up to our expectations. It's not all bad, the GoT and DCU references were both funny and yet, a little jarring. Please forgive Tinashe for being wishy-washy, and praise to Audrey's succinct analysis of why this movie could have done better. But, we definitely fell in love with Makkari, our beautiful cinnamon roll too good for this world, too pure- and her love interest, Druig- who gave this man the right to play with our hearts!

In this episode, Audrey & Tinashe, discuss that Synder cut- may we please have a moment to appreciate it. It was good. I think we can all agree that Zeus brought the goods, the lightning and a lil' somethin' somethin'. And can we take a moment to enjoy the fact that every superhero needs their own theme music, I mean, did you see Aquaman's music video?! The remote death match in an abandoned town between our heroes and villains definitely makes more sense in this original version of the movie. On a serious note, who invited Jared Leto to this, he is not my (Tinashe) Joker.
