-
We talk about Kenzie Lalonde making Canadian broadcast history and how she grew up listening to our radio show on the way to school. An OHL player was suspended for five games for calling an opponent a Mennonite during a game. A Wheel of Fortune contestant's brain breaks. World Series Dumbassery; The Yankees blow it, we also talk about the Yankee goofballs who tried to rip the ball away from Mookie Betts, Bob Costas packs it in with his MLB career; McDavid Gets Hurt; Times in radio when we got in trouble with our sales staff, Steve is worried about nerd's neck.
-
A heavy dose of rambling about whatever. We get into the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of coaching or leading with anger. We talk about our interest level in the Four Nations Faceoff in February, and the unveil of the team jerseys.
-
We play our Friday song from the old TGOR show. Steve was once an actor in a drunk driving TV commercial. Jim didn't realize Thanksgiving had come and gone. It's maybe a little early for WNBA rookie Angel Reece to complain about her salary while living in an $8,000-a-month apartment. How the hell can Wayne Gretzky already be retired for 25 years? Some of the recent team sports nicknames are failing. We play back an old email segment from the old TGOR show that made us laugh. Back then, it was Steve, Stu and Jungle Jim. For some reason, Jimmy liked how one of our colleagues read the Farm Boy ads.
-
We catch up with guest Eric Macramalla, host of Offside on TSN Radio, a show about the business and legal side of sports. We get into PEDs in sports and whether they might be an issue in hockey and if so, how much do they actually help a hockey player compared to other sports? We discuss the legal side of the Johnny Gaudreau tragedy. We look back at Eric's involvement with the screening of the new movie about the Montreal Expos. And his neat connection to former SNL star Dan Aykroyd.
-
Jim goes hard on the high price of sports, and the high cost of everything. We discuss the Hawk Tuah Girl; our former work colleague who's still kicking ass in broadcasting; Travis Kelce gets a $100 million podcast deal. We're happy something finally worked out for this guy. Jim is concerned he's about to take on a son-in-law... after only a 3-month courtship.
-
Jimmy discusses his golf adventure. We get into the tale of the Australian Olympic breakdancer, the bizarre missed call at match point that cost Felix Auger Aliassime a match. We don't talk politics but Donald Trump's narcissism is next level, repeatedly yelling to his supporters, "I'm better looking than Kamala!!!" And Pat Mahomes pulls off a crazy play in the preseason but he'd be wise to leave it there.

What We've Loved (and Not Loved) About the Summer Olympics. Why is Canada dragging their heels on naming Summer McIntosh their flag bearer? Irked by the twerk: Pole vaulter Alysha Newman has a twerking celebration after her bronze medal-winning jump. Comedian Conan O'Brien has excelled on many levels, but he may be the best in the podcast realm.
-
We discuss Sportsnet's Jeff Marek's unusual departure, the future of TV and radio, and an update on the Canadian Olympic soccer drone controversy. We then get into Olympic golf, which starts Thursday. A golfer from Richmond, Ontario, once won an Olympic gold in golf. We discuss the announcer who was removed from Olympic coverage for saying, "You know how women are, hanging around putting on makeup." Should scouts be in the Hockey Hall of Fame?
-
The Canadian women’s soccer team faced a major setback when team reps were caught using a drone to spy on New Zealand’s training session prior to their first group match. As a result, the International Olympic Committee penalized Canada by deducting six points, and their coach was suspended for a year. Maybe it's just us, but we didn't think it was that big a deal.
-
Jim opens up about kicking out his roommate for being a slob. The first question was, "Wait, Jiim had a roommate? We play a little "Would You Rather?" Golf talk...Another player breaks 60! Tiger Woods refuses Ryder Cup captaincy. LIV still throwing money at a tour no one seems to be watching. Jeremy Roenick finally gets into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Michael J Fox performs with Coldplay

The NFL's weird multi-billion dollar Sunday ticket anti-trust lawsuit.
The heartbreak of the Edmonton Oilers and the end of the NHL season.
Why the Stanley Culp truly is the hardest trophy to win in team sports.
A big pro golf tournament is coming to Ottawa.
-
Did Bryson DeChambeau win the US Open or did Rory McIlroy lose it? We get into the wild finish and how each man handled things during and after. Can the Oilers rally from an 0-3 deficit to win the Cup? They've cleared the first hurdle and shown this season they can overcome bad starts and get streaky. Connor McDavid might just be the best of all time.
