Willy Roy is a US Soccer Legend. Inducted into the US Soccer Hall of Fame in 89', Willy's path, experiences, and other passions (including Wrestling) are incredible. A class act that gave back to the game as the coach at Northern Illinois University after his playing days, he now watches as his son carry's the baton in his hometown of Chicago!

MLS Next is expanding. In an attempt to grow, and become more vertically integrated, MLS Next has added a 2nd level, that will operate under the guidance of MLS Next, and allow for player movement within the MLS pyramid, while also allowing for High School flexibility as well.
Joining me are the directors representing St. Louis Scott Gallagher - Jeff Davis, Lou Fusz Soccer - Matt Mueller, and St. Louis Development Academy - Dan Donigan.

A couple of soccer LEGENDS right here on Soccer Mom Sunday! Jen Siess and STL USWNT Ruth Harker teamed up for a visit with Ruth’s ’85-er teammate, Linda Gancitano. Being the first girl to play on her boys’ high school soccer team in the early 1980’s, Linda knows ALL about GRIT - that, and her love of the game, carried her all the way though NCAA D1 play at the University of Central Florida with defensive MVP honors in the successful program (YET to be recognized by their Hall of Fame). Then, it was onto the USWNT where she, Ruth, and team would tear down barriers while playing The Beautiful Game. Listen in for their great stories and debates. We come full circle on this Soccer Mom Sunday! In June of 2024, Jen Siess sat down to chat with her former coach at Lindenwood University, Debbie Washburn. Not only did we talk about her soccer origin story, she also shared the story of her TWICE WINNING 1989 and 1990 National Women’s Over-30 Division teams. A first in St. Louis women’s soccer history. For years, these soccer champs have gone unrecognized, but that just changed on February 27th, 2025 when they were formally honored by the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame. Tune in for a great conversation with Debbie, along with former teammates, Lisa Lamb and Mary Carpenter, as they share their own soccer origin stories, along with some grit-forming experiences like sleeping in a hotel lobby before a big game. Not kidding! It’s an emotional one - a bittersweet story of finally having a seat at the table. Let’s go!
