It's Oscar szn baby! To kick things off, the boys took a day trip to the Alamo and witnessed The Brutalist in all it's glory. To chase this down, we checked out the Mubi doc Grand Theft Hamlet, a movie filmed entirely in GTA online. We go over our wonderful meals, the beauty of the intermission, and a basic movie theater etiquette review as some people (in an Alamo no less) have forgotten how sitting in a movie theater works. Being a decent person must be difficult, but oh well. The new episode is out now!

Absolutely insane that the last David Lynch movie we watched together was Dune mere days before his death. We are very emotional about it, but listen to how chipper we are in this episode because next week the laughing stops. To chase down the sci fi epic, we watched a true Lynchian masterpiece, Spice World! Nick scolds Matt on his Kingdom Hearts play style, Joey begins his descent into Bob Dylan fandom, and Matt just loves to say Kwisatz Haderach! The new episode is out now!

Saknas det avsnitt?

Fellas, is it gay to love your homie and respect women? On this week's episode, the boys watch their first Mike Nichols movie together with Carnal Knowledge. To chase this down, we watched I Love You, Man and were all under the impression that Judd Apatow had something to do with this. Are we wrong for assuming that? Nick doesn't think Jack Nicholson has any sex appeal, Joey describes the perfect snow day, and Matt refuses to slap the bass as he approaches 30. Tell your homies you love them and give them a lil forehead kiss too. The new episode is out now!

At long last, we have made our lists of the best movies of 2024 as well as some highly anticipated movies coming in 2025! We're excited to see what this year may bring and what movies we will endure. 2024 was a surprising year for movies to say the least, but what were some of your favorites? Don't worry listener, next week we are back to watching movies!
-
There’s nowhere for you to run Joe Russo! Every year people have utter meltdowns about “worst of 2024” lists and we are here to tell you it’s totally normal and appropriate to dunk on a band movie and tonight we are gonna dunk on almost 30 unwatchable movies from this year! Matt somehow only came up with 9, Joey gets his heart broken by some of Matt’s bombastic choices, and Nick is back from the North Pole with hate in his heart. Movies are terrible and that is okay! We’ll be covering the best of 2024 next week, we got sleepy after 90 minutes of hate lol.
-
Nick was whisked away by Santa for a helping hand up at the North Pole, but luckily the big man himself decided to hang out on the pod this Christmas! For the shot this holiday season, we watched the Lifetime Taylor Swift Christmas movie, Christmas in the Spotlight. To chase this down, we watched the Hallmark "Taylor Swift" "Christmas" movie Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. Both bad! We have our annual gift exchange, Santa reveals all his secrets while getting drunk on air, and there may be one other special guest tonight, but you'll have to listen to find out! Happy Holidays everyone!
-
ONE WEEK TIL CHRISTMAS OH MY GOD! In preparation for the best day ever (Nosferatu release day) we finally got Matt to watch It’s a Wonderful Life and everyone cries. To chase this down, we found a PG-13 Hallmark movie by the name of How Sarah Got Her Wings. Don’t sleep on this newfound subgenre of wholesome Hallmark. Matt is back on his Star Wars bullshit, Nick has not received tracking for Hundreds of Beavers, and Joey defends Joker 2. We are so close to Christmas!
-
2 episodes in one week? We really are too generous. We had a lot of commentary on The Royal Nanny and felt it would be kinda fun to record our commentary on this week's Hallmark nightmare. Enjoy our first ever live commentary on the controversial Hallmark hellscape, The Perfect Christmas Present.
-
What if Hallmark made a creepy stalker movie but they made it uwu cute??? They don’t do that and it’s not even close. For our shot, we had the immortal Jingle All The Way and to chase this down we reconsider our commitment to watching Hallmark movies after our viewing of The Perfect Christmas Present. We also had not seen each other in weeks so the boys talk a LOT about what they’ve watched since Thanksgiving. Don’t see Smile 2! The new episode is out now
-
Happy Holidays cinephiles! Sorry we were out for Thanksgiving, but we are back now! To start our 3rd year of Christmas movies we picked an evidently controversial topic with Die Hard as our shot. It's a Christmas movie, we will prove it. For the remainder of the month we will be watching Hallmark movies as our chasers so we started real strong with The Christmas Nanny, a movie that is also about holiday terrorism. We also ramble for like 30 minutes about the On Cinema universe and even purchase the On Cinema app live on air!
-
Hands in the air, kino bros! On this week's episode before the holidays begin, we kicked things off with Vince Vaughn's immaculate performance in Brawl in Cell Block 99. To chase this down we watched Glenn Ficarra and John Requa's biopic I Love You Phillip Morris. We kinda babble about what we're doing for Thanksgiving and ultimately we decide that Thanksgiving is cancelled this year so enjoy this episode because it's gonna be Christmas for the next month on the show!
-
No sad animal movies here! Joey was last week's loser and we thought it would be funny to make him endure David Lynch's final feature film (unless you're goated and consider The Return a film) Inland Empire. This sorta backfired, but have no fear! To chase down the surrealist nightmare, we watched Tootsie. Which was somehow worse than we thought it would be. Matt completes the Ernest filmography, Nick finishes Yu Gi Oh, and perhaps Joey will begin a David Lynch binge? Listen to the new episode to find out!
-
It's that awkward lull in between Halloween and Christmas where we get a lil weird with our choices and Joey decided to keep that tradition alive with this weeks combo. For our shot, the boys watched Bong Joon Ho's animal rights protest film, Okja. And to chase this down we endured everyone's favorite sad dog movie, Marley & Me. Nick plots his revenge, but more importantly, we all watched Rap World and admittedly that is like 30 minutes of this episode (go watch Rap World). The new episode is out now!
-
Ruh Roh rilm ros (I'm not doing this bit past this point), it's Halloween again! Our 3rd annual Halloween celebration is upon us, and what better time to watch 4 Scooby Doo movies from our childhood? We got together and watched Zombie Island, The Witch's Ghost, Alien Invaders, Cyber Chase, and rated them from worst to best! The boys dress up this year, Nick's Yu Gi Oh binge is getting out of hand, Matt fornicates in a hat, and Joey picks our first movies outside of spooky season for next week (and he will suffer for his choices). Trick or treat homies! The Halloween episode is out now
-
It's blood sucking time! We are just a week away from the spookiest day of the year and we thought it would be a good idea to pregame with some damn(nation) good fun! For our shot, we watched Francis Ford Coppola's take on Dracula, and to chase this down we watched the 1931 Bela Lugosi rendition of Dracula. Before we could get into the classic monster fun, Nick and Matt fully spoil and dissect Terrifier 3 for Joey! There's spooks around every corner, loyal podcast listener! The new episode is out now.
-
We should definitely check out the abandoned cabin! Surely our demise does not await inside! On this week's spooky episode, the boys go for gore with Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. To chase this down we brushed off our Associates in Psychology degrees so as to dissect the complexities of Eli Craig's Tucker and Dale vs Evil. Joey defends Joker 2, Matt thinks everything is Army of Darkness, and Nick find's Jared's doppleganger. The new episode is out now!
-
(thunder booming/lighting crashing/pipe organ jamming) Welcome horror movie enthusiasts to the start of our Spooky month! We begin with the 1977 psychedelic Japanese horror classic, House! To chase this down, we cover the somewhat cult classic animated joint, Monster House! Nick is reading House of Leaves, Matt begins his personal spooky month binge, and Joey may have seen House before but who is to say? BOO! The new episode is out now!
-
Welcome to therapy corner, are you afraid of dying? TOO BAD BECAUSE YOU'RE GONNA. On this week's episode, we celebrate Molly's birthday with Alexander Payne's Nebraska. To chase this down, we watched Tim Burton's truly underrated masterpiece Big Fish! We are joined by Molly and Hannah to discuss movies, mortality, and the correlations between the two! We are SO back!
-
Bonjour and Ni Hao! On this week's feline themed episode, the boys watched Ang Lee's kung fu romance epic Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. To chase this down, we searched deep in the filmography of Shawn Levy (it only goes so deep) and watched his 2006 reimagining of The Pink Panther. Nick shares his views on Happiness, Joey finishes Peaky Blinders, and Matt has 2 cats. This is never said in the episode, but I felt it was necessary to say given today's theme. Get out your Benadryl! The new episode is out now.
-
Howdy partner! Welcome to this week's Western themed episode (we watched 2 movies with cowboys). For the shot, we revisit our old buddy Jodorowsky with El Topo, and to chase this down we took a detour into the world of the early 2000s buddy comedy with Shanghai Noon. Nick shares his hot takes on The Prince of Egypt, Joey spends a day at Regal, and Matt invents the word "jimple". The new episode is out now!
