On this NEW LOOK episode Jimi sits down with Crocodile Jackson, Johnny Ryan and Greg Mishka after the very first edition of Secret Walls Battle Drop! Battle Drop is SW's new collaboration with NTWRK, featuring your favorite artists battling LIVE exclusively on the NTWRK app while accompanying capsule collections at the same time. This first edition of Battle Drop saw SW join forces with Mishka to produce the capsule and the battle streamed live from SW HQ on Friday January 29th, 2021. On this episode of the podcast Croc and Johnny along with co-host Greg Mishka unwind over discussions of the battle, Greg's favorite conspiracies, Instagram haters and pimple popping videos.

This week Jimi sits down with Laci Jordan, the third and final artist in our SW X Bentley Art In Motion project. The Art In Motion project hosted three young artists at our SW HQ to create unique pieces of work in their signature styles inspired by design elements of the new Bentley Bentayga SUV. The pieces created during this residency are currently up for auction with all proceeds going to Inner City Arts, an LA-based nonprofit.
Laci is a multi-disciplinary designer and creative director from Huntsville, Alabama who is now based in LA. She works across the mediums of illustration, graphic design, product design, and photography but is most widely known for her illustrative work for clients like The New York Times, Calvin Klein and SXSW. Her art is focused around color, pop culture, and representations of people of color. With a theme of “Everyday Life”, her subjects range from portraits of women to her favorite sneakers, often presented with “no filter” authenticity. In this episode Laci and Jimi discuss her early experiences in art, the joy of working across mediums, lessons learned from her parents and why she is the best person to be with in stressful situations! #secretwallspodcast -

MIKAEL B is the second artist featured in our SW X BENTLEY Art In Motion collaboration. The pieces created during this residency will be auctioned in late December with all proceeds going to Inner City Arts.
Based in Los Angeles and originally from Copenhagen, Mikael B has developed his own unmistakable style deeply rooted in his early years as a graffiti artist. Using spray and acrylic Mikael creates complex conceptual works of art that transform impressions and experiences into an abstract design language. An avid practitioner of meditation and mindfulness, he is always working to make the most of the present moment to manifest future success. In this episode Mikael breaks down to Jimi his belief in positive thinking, law of attraction, the roots of his creativity and even pitches a Bentayga road trip.

Creating conversation through the direct approach of typography, Gonzalez believes a word is an image; capable of inspiring us to question our daily living and produce a positive impact. In this episode he breaks down some of the childhood memories that led him to art, reactions to his work, the ephemeral aspects of creating and of course his experience driving the Bentayga during his residency. -
This week Jimi connects with Stix: the rapper, producer and community organizer using his multifaceted abilities to affect change in his home base of Watts and beyond. In his own words, Stix works to bring the philosophy of polarity into situations where he sees an unbalanced charge. An early ambassador of LAFC, he created the first-of-its-kind official theme song for the team and has since worked with the Clippers and Rams on similar projects. Additionally, he is the founder of ThinkWatts, a full-service multimedia company serving the needs of Watts and its surrounding areas through initiatives like food drives and giveback programs, with a specialized learning and creative center currently under development. Stix also was a guest mentor at our Secret Walls Academy Digital Summer Camp earlier this year. He speaks with Jimi on a variety of subjects including polarity and supreme consciousness, the power of manifestation, religion, and boneless wings.

Jimi sits down with Andres Uribe— DJ extraordinaire, community activist and longtime friend of Secret Walls. Andres has been a member of the Soulection musical collective for the last decade, regularly broadcasting eclectic genre blending radio shows on Apple Music and live streams. He has also provided the soundtrack at many Secret Walls battles around the globe. In addition to his musical endeavours Andres is a part of several local outreach projects in his hometown of Azusa such as Azusa Run Club and The Fruitful Home. Jimi goes DEEP with Nychos: the painter, illustrator and graffiti artist known for his large scale dissections of animals and pop culture characters. Raised in a traditional Austrian hunting family and now based in Los Angeles, his anatomical and heavy metal-inspired imagery has been seen on walls and in galleries across the globe. Jimi speaks with Sophia Chang— an illustrator and creative entrepreneur bridging the gaps between streetwear, art and design. Born and raised in Queens, NY but now based in Los Angeles, Sophia has worked with a huge roster of clientele including Samsung, Nike, Apple and the NBA. She is co-founder of the health and wellness focused creative platforms UNDO-Ordinary & UNDO-Labs as well as CommonAce, a new venture described as a one-stop shop for women’s sneakers. She shares with Jimi the secrets of what keeps her firing on all cylinders as they discuss topics such as sleep science, listening to your body, authenticity on social media, learning from our pets, gender equality in sneaker culture and email etiquette.

This week Jimi welcomes Kristen Liu-Wong, an illustrator known for her sensual and dreamlike tableaus which depict themes of feminine empowerment, sexuality, personal relationships, intimacy and desire in a heightened and at times mythological style. She studied at NYC’s Pratt Institute and has since been based in Los Angeles where she has participated in several Secret Walls battles. Jimi connects with Che Anderson, the Deputy Cultural Development Officer for Worcester, MA as well as the founding director of POW! WOW! Worcester, an arts festival that brings internationally acclaimed artists to the city to activate underused spaces and beautify the city. His other recent projects include serving on the Rose Kennedy Public Art Advisory Group and founding Food & Convo, an online platform/podcast connecting strangers over a shared virtual meal. Jimi sits down with deconstructive pop artist Matt Gondek, known for his punk rock-inspired paintings, murals and sculptures of iconic characters in various stages of violent disintegration. This week Jimi connects with innovative composer, beatboxer and vocalist Reeps One for a remote session. Reeps performed at early Secret Walls battles and in the decade since has gone on to collaborate with some of the biggest musicians in the world.
