In today’s digital world, blogs are becoming less and less effective for B2B content marketing.

Maybe you just started one – or have had one for years. The question is, how can you use that content you’ve already spent time on in a new way?

You’ve known me long enough (I’m guessing) that you’ll already know my answer: it’s video!

People often don’t realize that blog posts are fantastic starters for a podcast episode, or even a short video on the topic you choose.

In this second installment of my three-part series on how to turn text content into video content – I dive into why you should be making this transition with your blog and what benefits it will bring you in the future.

And it isn’t that it’s necessarily a bad question to ask - or even a bad consideration to have when you start a podcast.

Here’s the rub: It’s not a good perspective to START with when you first launch your podcast, and in this episode, I’ll tell you why.

One of the biggest advantages that having a podcast (or even video content) brings is it's ability to build "parasocial relationships".

Similar to the affection you may feel for Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lawrence or Pedro Pascal -- this ability to get close to your audience *without even being there* is the main value-add that I'm exploring in this episode.

As usual, I'm keeping this short and sweet - so at least tune in to get a better understanding of this dynamic and how it can save you time and effort - if you have an personal brand or an online business.

There are some days where all I wished I did was produce podcasts..

But that’s not the nature of most modern small businesses – you need a consistent digital presence and effective, optimized content so that people can know, like and eventually trust you.

And why is it important to get strangers to know, like and trust you? Because that’s what leads to purchasing decisions.

If you’re a coach, CEO or content creator, this week’s episode will be perfect for you.

When you’re producing podcasts, or collaborating with creatives in some form or another – you’re bound to meet a few characters..

Now there is nothing wrong with a good character. In fact, they usually are responsible for some of the most interesting and comical moments you could possibly have while working.

This week, I’m sharing a little story of mine with an oft-forgotten, literal character (because he’s a famous character actor), the one and only Gary Busey.

I also reflect on some more of my production career with questions from a special guest..
