The Road The Stage is missing one of the PP boys this week as Patrick was down with the sickness. Ironic as our guest is also a nurse! Trevor Hurst has put the medical career aside to revive the legendary Econoline Crush who are back with a new song called No Quitter from a soon to be released new album which will be followed by a documentary called Flatlander chronicling Trevor’s work as a Psychiatric Nurse with Canupawakpa Dakota Nation in Manitoba. Peter and Trevor weave through stories about the bands beginning at the height of the grunge movement, memories of Edgefest, and things get emotional as they discuss their fathers who have both passed on, but whose presence are still felt in mysterious ways.Dig in and subscribe to the Communal Creative Studios YouTube channel.

The Road The Stage is back with Part Two of our interview with Aysanabee. Back in February, Aysanabee performed in Red Deer, experiencing a Western tour for the first time as a musician. It’s hard to explain how thoroughly impressive Evan’s set was that night, and ever since - Patrick Bateman and Peter Michaels have been eager to talk to him.
Aysanabee hangs out today to discuss his record Watin, which has made a major impact across Canada, from charts to hearts. It’s a really special concept that includes the recordings of his grandfather discussing his memories of growing up through the horrifying residential school system that stains our history. This is an important record.
We also discuss the recent Aysanabee performance at the Junos, a whirlwind of a year, reggae, getting your car stuck in front of an audience, music conferences, playing Massey Hall, and lots more.

The Pursuit Of Graham Walsh is officially over. Patrick Bateman and Peter Michaels sat down at Communal Creative Studios to chat with a remarkable dude who’s worked on and with artists of seriously high caliber. His own band Holy Fuck is closer to celebrating 20 years than 15 years, his new project NOBLE ROT drops this week, he’s also heavily involved in the new DEBBY FRIDAY record that releases this week and so much more. It’s a great chat and we’re all better off with Graham Walsh in the Canadian music scene. Trust us.

Patrick Bateman and Peter Michaels sit down to discuss the life and times of one Graham Walsh, a guy who's name is on so many good tracks and records that they started to wonder how he could possibly make time to chat. That discussion is so good that we're making you wait a little longer for it.
In the meantime… recent shows, awards, talking during concerts, fun. For me and you and everyone we know ))<>((

It’s WEDNESDAY, BABY. That means we all sit around the kitchen table sharing our favourite parts of the latest episode from The Road The Stage. This week, Patrick Bateman and Peter Michaels are joined via ZOOM by PONY aka Sam Bielanski and Pretty Matty. Calling in from Windsor, Ontario, Sam and Matty took no time to warm up AT ALL, in fact we probably spent the first 10 or so minutes chatting about ass and ass-related afflictions, water bottles and Pony’s upcoming album Velveteen, their podcast 2MuchTV, the dentist, Fortnite, and lots more. Get it.

Welcome back to The Road The Stage, returning after a few weeks of hard-earned holiday rest and just in time for the first ever Cold Front Music Festival.
Tons of bands took the stages at Bo's Bar & Stage, The Vat, and the Velvet Olive this past weekend - coincidentally timed with the arrival of an actual cold front, bringing Red Deer weather to well below freezing.
Despite that, Patrick Bateman and Peter Michaels sat down with a few of the bands over the two days of Cold Front. Day One coverage of Cold Front on The Road The Stage includes local act The Humble Cartel, as well as Day One headliner Scenic Route To Alaska. We chat about what's new with the bands, find out what's in a mysterious suitcase and learn a bunch of some "firsts" of the bands, because it's the first ever Cold Front Music Festival, duh.
Recorded and Produced by Communal Creative Studios in Red Deer, AB.
