What happens when a lifelong love of illustration, storytelling and Ibiza collide?
In this episode of the Reset Rebel Podcast, Jo Youle sits down with artist, illustrator and creative visionary Aura Gold, the creator of the island´s very first comic book.
From the island’s colourful characters and hidden histories to the inspiration behind bringing Ibiza to life through graphic storytelling, Aura shares the creative journey that led her to develop a completely new way of experiencing the White Isle.
Together, they explore the importance of preserving Ibiza’s culture through art, why comics can tell stories that other mediums can’t, and how creativity continues to shape the island’s identity beyond its world-famous nightlife.

This week on The Reset Rebel, Jo Youle meets Joshua Coombes, founder of the global movement Do Something For Nothing.
What began as a simple act — offering free haircuts to people experiencing homelessness — evolved into an international initiative rooted in dignity, human connection and small, powerful acts of kindness.
In this deeply human conversation, Joshua shares:
How a single haircut sparked a global movement
The psychology of kindness and visibility
Why connection matters more than charity
What he’s learned from conversations on the street
How small actions can ripple far beyond what we imagine
We talk about ego, vulnerability, purpose — and what it really means to “help” someone without expecting anything in return.
This episode is not about saviourism. It’s about presence and about remembering that dignity is universal.

Guest Number 215 is a man I met in Goa upon the magic sands of Mandrem. At that time, I was doing my yoga teacher training and having an early mid life crisis & he was an Ayurvedic massage therapist living in New York.
James Winstanley was also in a duo, playing the hang drum and came to play a few sessions in our yoga shala and we became firm friends.
One day we drank some very bad and extremely low quality Indian Gin that left me with an awful Head the next day as you will hear in our chat and James went on to tinker with some tinctures after sampling some at a house party one night at our previous podcast guests home, Helen Noakes aka guest no 41.
The rest as they say is history and that tinkering led to the creation of his Nomadic spirit drink, which he has just launched, which is made from medicinal herbs and tinctures and is actually leaves you feeling rather wonderful.
You can try it https://nomadicspirit.co/ with a special 10% podcast discount code by adding the words, Reset Rebel at check out. We are back for 2026 and what better was to return than to kick off with a trip down south to the stunning aqua surround sound and vista of Cala Comte to join The Reset Rebel hostess Jo Youle to welcome in the new year and have a conversation shaped by Balearic sea air, stillness, and Ocean perspective.
We are joined by island local born and bred native, Gregorio Canellas, founder of Meet the Sea — a project rooted in conscious connection with the ocean and the natural rhythms of Ibiza.
What began as a love for the sea has grown into a platform for presence, education, reflection, and meaningful experiences on the water.
We talk about:
Building a project that’s led by values, not volume
The role of the ocean in grounding, healing, and clarity
Ibiza beyond the noise — nature, balance, and intention
What it means to slow down and listen and fully connect.
Recorded perched on the cliff tops with the aqua crystalline waters as our backdrop, this episode is an invitation to pause, reset, and reconnect — with yourself and the environment around you.

Today we release our final interview from TedX Dalt Vila on the Reset Rebel for Episode 210! Feels like a huge milestone this year and might just whet your appetite for the weekend in more ways than one, for what’s is still to come!!
Dr. Marta Recio Rodriguez is a specialist in sexology and regenerative gynecology, with a clinical and academic focus on women’s sexual health, anatomy, and wellness.
Her work explores the intersection between medical science, psychology, and the cultural narratives that have historically shaped — and often silenced — the conversation around female pleasure.
Throughout her career, Marta has listened to countless women share their deepest fears, insecurities, and questions — many of which are still wrapped in stigma or shame.
She says women’s sexual pleasure has long been pushed to the margins of both medicine and society.
So today, we’re flipping the script as Marta invites us to re-examine the science, the silence, and the societal blind spots… as she did in her talk, “The Clitoris: The Story of the Button No One Can Find." - Coming soon to Ted X Youtube, but first we hope you learn something in todays episode.

Last Saturday as I hosted TED X Dalt Vila on stage here in Ibiza, I invited a talk about the Truth.
It IS supposed to be absolute, unquestionable and the facts that form the very foundation of everything we know or at least expect to be true.
But in today’s world—where deepfakes blur reality, misinformation spreads like wildfire, and algorithms shape what we see and believe—how do we even begin to separate fact from fiction?
We live in an era where narratives outweigh nuance and headlines out shout honesty.
Where the sheer volume of information doesn’t make us more informed, but more divided, more uncertain, and more vulnerable to have the wool pulled over our eyes.
Our next speaker is someone who carved out career as an investigative journalist.
Bob Trafford spent years unearthing hidden truths, analysing evidence, and navigating the delicate line between what is real and what is manufactured working for Forensic Architecture.
His work doesn’t just reveal what we believe to be true—but why we believe it.
So, in a world where the truth is increasingly up for debate, how do we find it?
And just as importantly—how do we protect it?

Beneath the surface of the sea, buried under layers of time, lie stories waiting to be told.
Right now, today´s podcast guest is quite literally uncovering history—on an under water excavation in Menorca, exploring a shipwreck lost to time.
But archaeology isn’t just about the past. It’s about the present—and the future.
It’s about understanding where we come from so we can navigate where we are going.
Trevor J Wallace is an explorer, artist, and filmmaker, as well as the Vice President of Research & Education at The Explorers Club.
From Scythian tombs to submerged shipwrecks, from sacred sites in Hawai’i to the stories we haven’t yet discovered, his work is about more than artifacts— it is about understanding the human experience.
So why does archaeology matter now—in a world dominated by technology, speed, and an ever-accelerating present?
Because the deeper we dig, the more we understand.
