Brandon is back from NBA All-Star Weekend with his son (hence the title of this episode of course) and it sounds like it was quite an enjoyable experience. Beyond getting to meet superstars like Steph Curry (who was a class act,) Brandon also attended NBA's Newsmaker Breakfast attended by the likes of former Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and former Director of the CIA John Brennan.
We get into much more including Brandon's thought process brainstorming for his next book. From there we get into the future of where book sales at large are headed. We wrap up with your comments, and feel free to send any questions for the podcast to [email protected] or @PowerOfPodcast on Instagram & Twitter. We love hearing from the listeners. -
That's right...the title may be provocative, but we've got some killer content to match that this week. Alex Waters joins us this show, one of the first ever programmers behind Bitcoin, and now head of research at Elm Labs ( http://elm.nyc .) Waters went to Rochester Institute of Technology, and shortly after that got introduced to the world of Bitcoin during it's inception. In fact, Waters was at the first ever Bitcoin conference back in 2011, and with his background in quality assurance it landed him a job long before the surge of interest took place for this technology. We get into a lot of topics with Alex including his personal background, and of course the future dangers of artificial intelligence. You can follow Alex on Twitter @WatersNYC.
Also on Episode 54, Brandon Webb reacts to Amazon.com pulling out of a deal for a major warehouse in the New York metro area. He calls it a terrible move on the part of local politicians to push out a future abundance of well paying jobs. Hope that you enjoy the show, and if you do, be sure to leave a review on Apple Podcasts and follow us @PowerOfPodcast. If you have any questions for the show, we'd love to hear them. -

When entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk launched VaynerMedia, one of the first men on board was Jeff Nicholson, now the Chief Media Officer of the company. Do you have what it takes? You don't know until you put the time in, and as Brandon says in this show, there's no such thing as a 4-hour work week, as good as that may sound.
Also on Episode 48 we read an email from a loyal listener inspired by the show, you can send your own email as well to [email protected] and it may even be included in Brandon's next book. Brandon also gives you some news on him selling his famous plane and purchasing a new one, as well as our updated business model for Crate Club, our men's gear club. -

After a three month long hiatus, we are back in action with a new theme on The Power of Thought podcast. That theme being, "Freedom is the New Rich." This was inspired by the digital nomad lifestyle, and Brandon meeting some incredible people during his recent international travels who are making things happen from anywhere on the globe. Only thing necessary to make it happen? A strong wi-fi signal. These are people in marketing, entrepreneurs, business owners, and more.
We are excited to bring some of those voices to the show as we progress, so you can hear their story of how they got there. We also cover a wide array of current events topics this episode, as well as some updates within the company here at Hurricane Media. So listen up, and get your fix!

One of the first guests to appear on The Power of Thought podcast was author and entrepreneur Kamal Ravikant. Kamal joins us again for what will be the final Power of Thought podcast as we go on an indefinite hiatus. As you may know, Brandon has a new book out titled "Mastering Fear: A Navy SEAL's Guide." Teaching Kamal to swim was the catalyst for this book, but so were some of the many interviews in this podcast series. Hearing how these successful men and women from various walks of life have dealt with their own fears contributed to the book, and we hope that you pick it up.
Brandon still plans to interact with the listeners as he does more Instagram live Q&A sessions and more, so be sure to follow him @BrandonTWebb. Let us know how after more than 40 episodes this podcast may have encouraged you to master fear, and go after your dreams. We hope that you listen back to these shows in times when you need the motivation, and can utilize The Power of Thought. -

He doesn't do many signings, so this is your chance, be there! -

We go really deep this show, talking about depression as Brandon reacts to the recent tragic deaths of travel and food icon Anthony Bourdain, and fashion icon Kate Spade. Brandon relates this to his own depression after losing several guys in the SEAL community and it coming to a head with the death of Glen Doherty in Benghazi, Libya. Brandon also talks about how SOFREP writer George Hand's four-part series "Former Delta Force Operator on the truth about suicide; Been there, done that" made a profound impact on him and how he viewed this incredibly serious issue. Brandon does still manage to share some good times though as he reflects on the life of his former teammate Glen.
Also on this episode, Brandon discusses attending his first meeting in Washington D.C. as a member of the board of the SBA(Small Business Administration.) They meet quarterly, and he hopes to be a voice for vets in the entrepreneur community. So if you have any concerns on that end that you want raised, he hopes you'll reach out. We also answer your emails sent to [email protected], and urge you to pre-order Brandon's upcoming book "Mastering Fear" dropping in 2 months. As always, Brandon has a policy of signing all pre-orders, and he'll let you know the instructions on how to do so as we get closer to release date. Be prepared for a kick ass book if you love this show and the continuing theme of triumphing over fears. - Visa fler
