In a world saturated by social media and marked by skyrocketing rates of anxiety, depression, and ADHD among Gen Z, young people are growing up in a landscape of chaos and contradiction. The Next Generation is hosted by 20-year-old Elliot Bewick, offering a raw and honest look at the world through the eyes of those living in it. • While here in South Africa, I was grateful for the opportunity to discuss the country's controversial new legislation with Dr Ernst Roets. An Afrikaner author and filmmaker, Dr Roets is a vocal campaigner for free speech, property rights and justice for murdered farmers. He is a leading expert on the topic of farm murders, and his book, ‘Kill the Boer: Government Complicity in South Africa's Brutal Farm Murders’ is an international bestseller. Dr Roets is also the producer of several documentary films. He is the Executive Director of the Pioneer Initiative, which seeks to promote a more sustainable political dispensation for South Africa based on the principles of self-governance and decentralisation.

  • Dr. Warren Farrell is an American educator, activist, and author known for his work on gender issues, particularly men’s and boys’ challenges, as detailed in his book The Boy Crisis (2018). Initially a prominent feminist in the 1970s, he served three terms on the New York City Board of the National Organization for Women (NOW) and was the only man elected to that role. His early feminist advocacy earned him the 1977 National Award for Humanism in Literature from the National Organization for Women, a rare honor for a male feminist. Farrell later shifted focus to men’s issues, authoring influential books like The Myth of Male Power and advocating for a gender liberation movement.

    ABOUT THE NEXT GENERATION:

In a modern, social media-driven world where diagnoses of Gen Z anxiety, depression, and ADHD are skyrocketing, the biggest threat to a young man's life is himself, and protests line the streets of all major cities, with kids ditching school to throw soup on paintings in awareness of the Climate Crisis. How do we go about putting out the flames our society finds itself submerged in before it burns to the ground? The Next Generation takes a look at all these topical issues from the perspective of 19-year-old host, Elliot Bewick. Expect not only chats with the older 'experts' but also to hear from the people actually growing up amongst this carnage - Gen Z. The aim of this podcast isn't to complain for sympathy or increased exposure but to bend the arc of the modern world towards solutions, truth, and a love for the beautiful adventure of life itself.
