The trailers and advertising painted the new Barbie movie, with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, as a fun, family friendly comedy. Is that how it turned out?
In their first weekend, both Barbie and Oppenheimer completely demolished box office expectations. Barbie taking in over $155 MILLION and Oppenheimer taking in close to $90 MILLION.
At this point, the real question becomes will these films hold up in week 2 and throughout the rest of their box office runs worldwide?
