After a short hiatus we're back with Zain Peerzada and Ali Suhail, who form part of the band Takatak, an incredible metal outfit who are finally getting the recognition they deserve. I love these guys, and their passion for their music and just generally getting stuff done. We talk about Patreon, whatever the hell DJENT is, and their opinions of the music industry. The usual.
See you all next week. Thinking of doing two episodes a week maybe because got a backlog of episodes. OK bye. -
We had Areeb Tariq, an amazing experimental designer and visual artist, on the show to talk about freelancing, work culture in Pakistan, and his new clothing ventures.
Hope you enjoy the episode, also available in audio form on podcast platforms. Till next time! -

We sat down for an absolutely fascinating chat with Arafat Mazhar, who does many many things. He's the founder of Puffball Studios, Shehri Pakistan, Engage, Hashiya and Soch. Whew. He has just directed a new animated film called Swipe, the second animated film from the unbelievably talented team at Puffball Studios since Shehr-e-Tabassum. It's a must watch.
Go watch it here: swipethefilm.com
In this podcast, we discuss his music career, the serious topics his films address, the connection between love and violence, and much more. Hope you enjoy. -
The amazing boys from Towers (from left to right: Changez Basir, Bilal Baloch, Ashir Bhatti) came came and demanded three turtles for this podcast, which was inconvenient. But they also let me hear their new single, 'Filhaal', which is an ABSOLUTE BANGER, and that made it all worth it.
Apologies in advance for any audio issues. This is the first podcast we've done with three guests and probably won't do it again because it's a nightmare.
OK, see you next time.
Listen to their new single, available now on all streaming platforms: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/towers3/filhaal -
The prodigy Abdullah Siddiqui sat down with us to discuss if he's a prodigy, how the hell he makes all the music he does alone on his laptop, and how he doesn't backup his data. Sad!
Hope you enjoy,
Much love,

Actor, comedian, and fitness instructor Sheherzade Noor Peerzada stopped by to talk about bombing on stage, the weirdness of having an alter ego, and trying to find five things to be grateful for (almost had a cliffhanger ending).
Thanks for watching/listening, till next time.
Mosiki -
Sat down to have a very manic, coffee-fueled chat with Khurram "I'm from the Valley" Siddiqi (his actual name). He's the art director for Bareeze Man, as well as a designer and all round creative G.
We talked about advertising agencies in Pakistan, the difference between awami and western design sensibilities, and there's an amazing sideplot where Khurram almost never finishes his donut.
Until next time,
Mosiki -
We sat down to talk with Jamal Rahman, founder of True Brew Records in Lahore, who is now pivoting to a career in filmmaking. We talk about his soft retirement from music, his first student film, and talk crap about branded music shows while drinking those same brands.
Hypocrites.
Hope you enjoy, you can listen to the audio too on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other major platforms.
Till next time. -
KPOP and BTS stan Rameeza Ahmad came by to talk about the phenomenon that is Korean pop music, how the Western and Asian music industries aren't so different, and the KPOP fandom in Pakistan.
Also I didn't know that Gangnam Style was Kpop lol.
Until next time. -
In this episode, we sat down with Shahzeb Khan to talk about the cliche of bands breaking up because of a stupid argument, his new venture called 'That Treehouse', his search for upcoming Pakistani talent, and how to pick an awful band name.
Hope you all had a good Eid, until next time! -
Pepsi why does everyone on your show only wear blue or black or leather pls respond.
I sat down with the Zahra Paracha, who does a million things, some of them include co-founding Lahore Music Meet, being a part of Sikandar Ka Mandar, Biryani Brothers, Dolce and Ghabrana, and her own solo work. And loads more things.
We talk about a few of those things in this podcast, including the question you've all been waiting for...where did the name 'sikandar ka mandar' come from?
Till next week, peace. -
I sat down with Misbah Uddin, a musician and artist based in Lahore, and we talked about how much money Shamoon Ismail makes. That was most of the conversation tbh. There was some other stuff too like what the music scene in Pakistan is like, being a part of the bands Takatak and Keeray Makoray, his brief career in advertising... but it was mostly about Shamoon Ismail's financial records.
Shamoon come on the pod. -
We spoke to Adeel Afzal, a filmmaker and journalist, about masculinity in Pakistan, and whether modern men are going through a crisis of identity.
The aim for these conversations is to be as honest as possible, but not to take things too seriously either, so let us know what you think.
Much love and peace, Mosiki.
